I had a billing problem on iTunes about 3 months ago and I now can't download anything from the App Store, even free apps because it mentions this billing problem and keeps rejecting my payment method. What do I do?? I don't have any other way of paying

Military billing problems help?

I need to find out where and how to complain about the online website billing treatment of military APO/FPO addresses. I understand apple not wanted to ship to overseas addresses but, the website will not ever except my billing address if I want to ship a gift to my family in the states. Please help me find the appropriate outlet for this complaint. There is a third party shipping option on the website call APOBOX but, that still does not solve the problem of the site not allowing a military billing address. I haven't had a state side billing address since November of 2001. My bills come to me overseas address. APO/FPO addresses are a state side billing address to most companies and although companies that use shipping methods other than the US Post Office can not ship to these addresses I have never before had such a problem with a company excepting my billing address. Itunes will take the card no problem I can purchase from that site fine just not the apple store. Considering the number of other people in my position I would think that apple like most other companies would want to have this additional source of customers.

i have always used an itunes gift card for itunes purchases. recently i recieved a 25 dollar discover card gift card. i typed in the information in my billing info and started using my discover gift card on itunes purchases. i spent my 25 dollars but when i checked my gift card balance it said i still had 23 dollars left. so i continued making purchases. today i got a notification saying my billing info is incorrect. i got on itunes and it said that i owed itunes 39.79 and i had to type in a correct credit card to pay the bill. im 19 and dont have a credit card. how can i correct this becuase if itunes knew that my credit card info was correct why did it let me keep purchasing

You are guessing wrong. A Discover Gift card works just like a credit card (and a Visa or MasterCard gift card) and the charges have to be processed which takes time. They do not work like an iTunes Gift Card where the amount is deducted as you purchase. You admitted in your first post that you knew you had spent $25, you then checked the balance of the Discover card, probably immediately after the purchases, and determined only $2 had been charged. So you thought Apple made a mistake and you made $23 or so more purchases and it didn't work. The problem now is there are pending charges on the card, i.e., the $25 you initially spent, so you have no money left on that card. As I said either put some more money on the Discover card or buy some iTunes gift cards and use them.

Is there any sort of error message on the payment details screen on your account ? If not then if you enter your card's security code does that trigger an error message ?

When I purchase and app or update it, it comes up with 'There is a billing problem with a previous purchase. Please enter another payment method'?

So when I go to update my apps and/or purchase them, a pop up comes up saying 'There is a billing problem with a previous purchase. Tap continue and sign in to view billing information.' So I press continue and sign in, then it goes to my 'Payment Method' page. In red writing below, it says 'There is a billing problem with a previous purchase. Please enter another payment method.' Because I used a MasterCard for my last purchase, it won't let me change it. I redeemed my account from an Itunes gift card to $20 but I cannot use it as it doesn't give me the option of using it. My only billing options are either a Visa Card, MasterCard or Amex Card. Please help me if possible!!!

same here. i was using a visa card ...now i can't because of this "error". my account is not empty, info is correct, don;t understand why this is happening. Two days ago it was working fine, then i wanted to update an app, and this stuff begins.

I'm getting the same billing error emails for my pre-orders. The credit card company is saying that the security code was submitted incorrectly. I think there's a glitch in BestBuy.com when they reauthorize the card after the first time. The system is either not sending the cvv code or sending and incorrect one. I know because i use the same card and instock games process and ship fine. Pre-orders started having billing problems a week after they are submitted. I hope some one at Best Buy.com addresses this soon. I may have to pre-order in store with the $5 down to make sure i don't miss out.

Fix billing problem so is can remove my credit/gift card info?

So I recently wanted to to remove my gift card that I bought in Walmart but it keeps telling me that I had a billing problem with my previous purchases. There is no "none" option and I don't have iTunes on our PC so my only option is on my ipad. Help because I can't download or update anything associated with this ID.

The 'billing problem with a previous purchase' message implies that iTunes hasn't been able to collect the money for your last purchase - until what you owe has been paid you won't get the 'none' option and you won't be able to download anything (uncluding app updates), you will need to have a valid payment method on your account (credit card, iTunes gift card etc) so that what you owe can be paid
