Billing request Editor.

Hi ..
How can we implement Billing request editor for RRB -Is there any different transaction for the same.
Whats are the steps for the same.
How is that different from the normal DP91 transacion

The billing request editor becomes active thru transaction SFW5 or thru SPRO navigation, Activate Business Functions > Enterprise Business Functions
The business function to be activated is ,     SD_01 and LOG_SD_CI_01
Once you activate, the billing editor configuration will appear in SPRO as this opath " Sales and Distribution > Sale > Sales Documents> customer service > Service quotation/resource related billing.
once u configure, then you can see edit  the DMRs. There is no transaction for editing it, it is web dynpro application and  search for link for web dynpro.

  • Using the Billing Request Editor in Web Dynpro

    Billing Request Editor has a number of functions that defer some of the DP91 functionality (postpone/reject) to Web Dynpro user interface.  For example, WIP (Reject, Postpone) and Accrue.
    On the WIP (reject and postpone) portion of the functionality it seems to go back to DIP and update AD01DLI for all items that were not billed.
    However for the portion entered on the Accrual screen it does not seem to go back to DIP and update AD01DLI. Only the DMR is updated. Why?
    If an accrual amount is billed to the customer for a missing/late timesheet using BRE and the timesheet is later entered/recovered would there be no requirement to go back to DIP and reject the recovered time sheet as already billed in the accrual or have the ability to reverse the accrual and enter the timesheet. It seems to presume that the user will keep this sort of reconciliation off line. Any comment? or am I missing a setting in configuration that brings the accrual back to AD01DLI for subsequent processing?
    Thanks,
    Alex Farber

    Vitaliano,
    You make a very good point.  And it is probably the way that we will go.  However, my task is to evaluate Web Dynpro and Visual Composer for our needs.  Especially since the graphing capabilities in Web App Designer are limited for our needs.  We will, at some point, have a need to combine warehoused information in BI with real-time data in R/3.  I'm anticipating that this is where Web Dynpro will be useful for us.  Therefore, my questions as stated regarding Web Dynpro.  I just find it strange that none of the SAP documentation elaborates on the topics that I am concerned with, even though tantalizing capability summaries are dangled throughout.
    Thank you.

  • Billing Request Editor - "Customizing missing for Characteristics"

    Our Production system is getting the following error when users are trying to access the Billing Request Editor;
    This same error doesn't exist in our lower landscapes and I've validated that the Characteristics for Billing Request Editor are in sync with one another.  Is there more configuration that I am missing?  Any assistance is appreciated.

    We ended up removing the table entries and recreating them from another lower landscape environment.  That seemed to work for now.

  • Function Active but (BFS 'DIMP) not allowed - Billing Request Editor Web UI

    I am working on setting up the Billing Request Editor.  When I completed the configuration in the ECC 6.0 system and access the Web UI and enter my debit memo request (DMR) that came through my RRB (DIP) process, I get the following error:
    Requested function is active (BF 'SD_01') but not allowed (BFS 'DIMP')
    Has anyone received this error?  How can this be fixed?
    Appreciate any response regardless of how technical.

    Hi Sara, I have the SAP documentation that describes the configuration and setup of the Billing Request Editor.  It however is a bit cryptic, but does give a general guide with screen shots on the type of configuration required.
    I have gone through the steps and though I am able to get the editor's UI up and running, I have a few errors to work through.  I originally had an error stating that the "Customizing for Characteristics was not complete" but solved this error by ensuring that all Characteristics that were setup as "character relevant" for the specific DIP profile were entered in the IMG activity "Select Characteristics from Dynamic Item Processing".  I found that it this error was resolved when the characteristics were entered in the exact sequence as they appear in the DIP profile (ODP1).
    Since then I have come upon two other errors that I am now working through:
    1.  "Form of Address Key not defined" - even though I have updated the form of address keys and config with generic values
    2.  "H is not a unit without dimension" - I assume this relates to the setup of the unit of measure and therefore requires me to use HR instead of H for hours.
    Has anyone encountered and solved these two items?
    Sara, I hope the first part helps.  If you can't find the SAP documentation I would suggest looking up OSS note 1223103 and also check related notes.  The documentation should be attached.  I can't recall the number offhand where the documentation is found.
    Otherwise I can try to get it to you via other means.

  • Restriction of sales order conversion to billing request for projects not r

    Dear all,
    We have SD integrated with Project systems. Each of the sales order is linked to the WBS element of the project which has to be billed. Sometimes a project which is not released is attached to the sales order and while billing it doesnu2019t get posted to accounts because that project/WBS element is not released. Is there a way to restrict conversion of sales order to billing request if the project is not released?
    Looking forward for help.

    Define a new condition type and assign it to the pricining procedure
    In the requirement routine have a new routine and put a logic so that it compares the subtotal field A of nett price
    For e.g KOMP-NTPRC
    The condition type should apply when KOMP-NTPRC < =the draft amount
    You have to try this
    I havent done it practically

  • Error while creating billing request thr tcode DP91

    hi,
    while creating a billing request through dp91 we are getting an error mesage : "Error during material determination for sales document item 40000067/000020". i have checked the material determination for the material, but there is no material determination maitained for the material, the material here is a service material, after creating a contract we are trying to create a billing request through DP91. this is where wer are getting the error message.

    Hi,
    It looks like the DIP Processor cannot determine a material.Go you your DIP Profile and check the Material Determination settings
    Also run TCode ODP2 to check the consistency of your DIP Profile and also chk Material Origin field was not checked in the Costing tab of the material master.
    Check above and revert back.

  • Billing request? or Resource Related billing?

    Hi,
    Please read the real life SD - FICO scenario given below and if you think you have the solution, kindly state your suggestion. Would be much appreciated.
    ===================================================
    Engineering Services Orders (Inter-company)
    Process Steps (As-is)
    1.Purchase Order is received in Co. A – via EDI, from Co. B
    2.Sales Order (services) is automatically generated in Co. A. It has item 10 as hours and item 20 as travel expenses in $ amount
    Sales accounting creates ‘settlement rule’ and ‘internal order’ number and advises the engineers who will provide the services
    3.Later on, engineers report actual hours for services rendered, by using CATS system This merely reports data in SAP system but does not make an FI posting
    They use the order number advised to them in step 2 to create an internal order
    4 Actual travel expenses are added by Payroll - as a direct posting to FI
    5. Periodic CATS batch job is carried out by relevant IT person, to settle costs to an ‘internal order’ (not to sales order). These costs are labor hours and travel expenses
    6. FICO personnel then do transaction K08G to settle internal order --> sales order
    7. (Manual Step) Sales Accounting then runs report KVBI to view and select data related to service orders The data is downloaded to an Excel worksheet and handed over to SD-Billing.
    8. (Manual step) The cost data in dollar figures is converted to hours by SD-Billing, dividing cost data with rate / hour given in the sales order condition record
    9. SD-Billing creates invoice. Since it is order-related invoice, it has open quantities coming in from the order. These are now manually over-written / replaced with the actual data from step 7 & 8. An invoice is thus, generated for each order individually.
    Process (To-be)
    To create an interim document (billing request?) to replace manual steps 7 and 8. This interim document needs to capture actual cost data form the system – and also show the remaining / open quantities from the sales order
    QUESTION: what is the best route to go?
    • Configure a Billing Request document (by modifying a standard Credit Memo Request / Debit Memo Request) or
    • Going via the route of resource-related billing?

    Refer to the document: J48 - Project with Intercompany Billing
    Link: http://help.sap.com/bp_blv1500/BL_India/index.htm
    This is a very good document for guidance.

  • Billing Request Simulation

    Hello,
    I want to report the net value of a Billing Request from a serviceorder before billing. Like the transaction DP90 serviceorder and simulate the sales document.
    I have tested the Function BAPI_BILLINGDOC_SIMULATE but the output was a message similar as: the sales document was not relevant for billing.
    Has anybody an idear how to get the simulated net value? Can I use the BAPI? If yes, what fields must I mapp to get the output?
    Kind regards
    Myriam Bail

    Hi Bail,
    I am not to sure if you can stimulate the creation of billing request.Because in DP90 as long as I know system runs VA01 in background and saves the document,generates and displays the sales document number.
    In this scenario i think you need to create some Z transaction or as you said use BAPI for this requirement If you find the solution for this kindly update all of us.

  • Querry over pricing procedure used in creation of BIlling request

    Hi,
         While creation of BIlling request via DP90 , system considers DIP Profile & pricing procedure and brings data /rates to billing procedure ..
    I am trying to understand the pricing procedure, i am using standard pricing procedure RVAA01 ->
    When i check the conditions Tab for a particular materials it has the below condition types :-
    1. EK01
    ,PR00,MWST,DIFF,VPRS ..
    Anbody pls give idea on how these conditions types are determined ..??
    I have checked & found condition record only for PR00 & MWST .. i could not find condition record for VPRS Condition type but how is it determined ?
    regards
    giri

    EK01 comes from the actual cost on the service order
    PR00,MWST,DIFF,VPRS  from memory these are all condition records created via EK11

  • VBAP-SERNR is not provided in BILLING REQUEST as it is in the DEFAULT ORDER

    Dear SD Sales and Delivery experts,
    i would appreciate your support very much!!!
    We want the system to transfer the maintained field VBAP-SERNR from the document DEFAULT ORDER (Program: SAPMV45A / Table control: TCTRL_U_ERF_AUFTRAG) to the succeeding document BILLING REQUEST (Program: SAPMV45A / Table control: TCTRL_U_ERF_GUTLAST). But the table control of the billing request does not provide this field. The Screen Sequence grp. for the order is AU and for the billing request it is GA.
    Does anyone has got an idea how to hit this target?

    Hi,
    In the approver step there is ABAP class has been maintained (CL_PT_REQ_WF_ATTRIBS) and the methods used is DUMMY.
    Inside the class there is another method (APPROVE)..The code of the method  which is standard is like that:
      DATA: request TYPE REF TO if_pt_req_request,
            event   TYPE tim_req_xfer_event VALUE cl_pt_req_const=>c_reqtrans_approve.
      CALL METHOD cl_pt_req_badi=>get_request
        EXPORTING
          im_req_id  = me->req_id
        IMPORTING
          ex_request = request.
      CALL METHOD cl_pt_req_badi=>initiate_state_transition
        EXPORTING
          im_request    = request
          im_event      = event
    *    IM_RET_VALUE  = 0
        IMPORTING
          ex_new_status = me->status.
    I think the status is coming from the code.There is another method like  SET_WF_ATTRIBS where the code for status retrieval is :
      status = im_attribs-version-status.

  • Billing Request in Value Contract Document Type

    Dear Friends
    In Value Contract Document Type WK1 in [VOV8] Billing Request is IRC:- Debit Memo Request for Contract
    What is the use of it how i will see it is effect in standard business process
    Regards
    Arun

    The billing request is your call off sales document for the value contract e.g. USD 2,000 contract for which initially only USD 500 is billed, thus the debit memo request. The process applies to a situtaion where there is/are partial or staggered releases of contracted goods or services.
