Hi all,
Anybody having any good billing solution for iMS5.2 ?
I am looking for third-party billing module which can produce bills for each user or group based on mail box usage and monthly or weekly mail transaction, and also looking for some good method to export those date to CSV file or some other DB format.

Of course, there are plenty of third-party solutions as well. Try googling for "hotspot billing software", "hotspot appliance", etc.

Billing Block for Credit/Debit Memo Can Be Removed Via TCode VA02

Dear All,
During the credit/demo memo request creation, there will be a billing block that will be released via tcode v.23. I realized that user is also able to release the billing block if refer back to the credit/debit memo request at tcode va02.
Kindly advise how can I prevent superuser/expert user from removing the billing block this way when they have to request for approval from their upper management to release the billing block ia v.23.

Hi Friend,
There are two solutions for this
1.
You can use USER EXIT USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION in MV45AFZZ and create one Ztable and add the user details .
This will restrict the users to change the Billing Block
Also search for the OSS notes for more info 208245
2.
Create Transaction variant in SHD0 FOR VA02 and make Billing block in display after creating the sales order.

A business case for billing customer for asset use

One of my clients has a equipment which he hires it out for customers . Based on its usage (like if customers uses it for for more than some quantity ) then he wants to bill customer automatically . He says while service confirmation if quantity is of usage is more than some X unit , then automatic billing is to be triggered else no billing .
For equipment maintenance he wants PR to be created automatically from service order .After vendor invoicing , at service confirmation he wants to bill the customer with vendor invoice amount .
I am aware of PM order process , but can any one pl suggest step by step solution for the scenario ?

regarding the selection of the servers based on the content requested, the current CSM is limited to match only 6 - 10 host name while the CSS has no limitation except the size of the config.
The only protocol that can be loadbalanced based on content - so layer 5-7 is HTTP and RTSP.
IF your citrix application makes use of these protocols, you can do L5/7 content rules.
My favorite between CSS and CSM is the CSM because of its ability to link a vserver/content rule to a vlan and because there is no such thing as garbage collection which is annoying on the CSS with long lasting flows.

Cant update billing info for itunes

When I try to update my billing information for itunes it keeps saying incorrect security code. Im reading it right off the car so I know that it cannot be incorrect is there anyway for an agent to get this updated for me?

Not sure if this helps .. but it appears that whenever Adobe's payment processing backend has some internal issues, it puts the subscribers into some HELL. The only way I found it to be working is - call the customer support from your country, and speak to a CSE.
The same incident happened to me this month. Subscription failed warnings, and Email alerts. I logged into my account, but could not update credit card details. When I tried adding another card, it throwed errors. So I called the local Adobe Customer support, and gone through the painful IVR thing. But at the end I was able to reach a CSE and he helped in fixing the issue.
The Solution:
Call Adobe Customer Support.

PS : It is pathetic that Adobe's payment processing is not upto the quality, and recent breaches has made the life of subscribers bad. I really love those old Retail boxes. I never had any billing issues.

You have two options here. you can chose either of these solutions:
1.
A. T-Code: VTFL ( if using del related billing) For the billing document and delivery, at item level assign the copying requirement 011 or if you are currently using some other routine then you can use following in that
VBRK-FKDAT = SY-DATUM.
B. T-code VTFA (if using order related billing)
Similar to A, using copying requirement 011.
2. You may also try option of Checking in the User Exit for the Program RV60AFZA & RV60AFZA.

I am getting the error " No wbs element found while substituting wbs element 00074419.at the time of creation of invoice from OBD
I ahve refered note 672929 , solution is "Define a higher-level billing element for the selling company code in your network" but then I odnt ahev anything defined in the network.
Pls guide me how to go about it

- Any of the WBSE which are hierarchically superior to your WBSE "74419" should have the relevant company code.
Check for any such superior WBSE in your structure & assign the company code, in question, to it. It should be a billing element also.
this is because, while billing system checks for the proper revenue receiver cost object in the particular company code.

Quickbooks'esque solution for Mac?

I need a software like Quickbooks for my Mac, but I am hearing terrible things about QB not updating to do anything to make it more compatible with Mac in recent years, it doesn't sync with iCloud, etc. The guy at the Apple store said Apple wasn't even going to keep offering this moving forward, but was going with ____ other accounting program (I forget the name he said, and I can't find anything about this online either). But... I basically need solutions for accounting for our home and our small business that we run (need ability to separate out into 2-3 different companies we run, separate out by clients, projects, etc.). We only need one unique user at this point, as I do all of our data entry, prep for taxes, etc. And we certainly don't need payroll capability yet either. This is mainly to keep our records in order, generate invoices, run reports, and have one handy location from which to generate tax info for our accountant. I am not an accountant btw, just need to get organized and have an older MacBook Pro that I am trying to hobble along with. Open to all suggestions and also want to hear personal pros and cons re: the various versions of Quickbooks that are currently being billed as "Quickbooks for Mac."

Apple doesn't include QuickBooks on the iMac in its current iteration. I suggest asking the question on QuickBooks for the Mac forum. QuickBooks for Windows should run just fine if you install Parallels or Boot Camp, or one of these other Intel based virtualization solutions on the Mac*:

However, you won't get the advantage of the Mac security when using the Windows version of QuickBooks. Someone on Intuit's forum should know how to make your migration as painless as possible to the Mac version and if there are any crossgrades available.

What I want to hear is that how to provide communications to students.
Does anyone implement VoIP solution for any school, college, university.
Not only staff, but also for students and dorm.
It is not necssary to use Cisco product, anything like Skypee, Packet8, Vonage, softphone, etc. OR even provide cell phone to students.
All products has their strength and weakness....
I want to see how you guys approach and achieve your goal.

What is the best way to provide communications system to student at campus, dorm? What we want to provide the cheapest way to provide phone services to students.
Old fashion way, students bring their anology phone to dorm, and pay their monthly bill.
I want to create new fashion way to bring in VoIP to students.
I know I can use CME, CUE, CMM, Unity, IP Phone, IP Communicator at students' laptop with billing system. But is it the most cost-effective way???
I just to hear from people at this Forum that bring VoIP to students and dorms, other than OLD fashion way.

Providing DRC solution for ATMs in the enterprise network

Hi all,
I am looking for ideas on how to provide a Disaster Recovery solution for thousands of ATMs (Automated Teller Machine) deployed in the bank enterprise network. The solution should consider
the following facts:-
1.- Having the ATMs switch the connection to the Server at DRC shouldn't be automatic. This situation might last for the next few years until DRC becomes mirror image of primary data center.
2.- The ATM servers at the primary and disaster recovery center is single server equipped with high availability (Tandem). I mean to say, there is no SLBs invloved in the connection
3.- The application running on the ATMs is calling the ATM Server by hardcoded IP address in the application. The bank is willing to visit the ATMs to change once and forever.
I see source natting as the most appropriate solution, however your opanion and expertise are appreciated.

what kind of solution are you looking for ?
Is the concern the connection from ATM to central location ?
Or is it a concern about the server at the central location ?
For connection issues, I don't see any other solution than providing multiple lines.
If the concern is the single server, you could have a loadbalancer somewhere in your network.
The loadbalancer can use probes to check the health of the server.
If the primary fails, or is unreachable, you can automatically redirect the traffic to the standby.
ATM machines will point to the virtual ip (you could reuse the current ip and assign a new one to the servers).
Not sure where to place the loadbalancer without a better idea of the problem to solve and the network.

Small Office Network Solution for Final Cut Server - Proxy Storage Etc.

I haven't been able to find any answers for this question by googling, So I would love if anyone here had some advice. I have the 10 License version of Final Cut Studio with 5 clients at the moment. I would like to set-up our office in the most effective way, however we are a non-profit organization, so we are working with a limited budget.
My question is, does anyone know of any networking solutions for Proxy Storage and Media storage, that wont bottleneck, but is not as high budget/high tech as using an Xserve/XSan system?
Right now we would be looking at running Final Cut Server off of our 24inch Intel IMac (Going to beef up the RAM). We have a Gigabit Switch, 4 more intel machines running final Cut pro, and a direct attached Drobo for Media Storage. I know this is not an Ideal set-up, but it's what I have to work with right now. So, I'm looking for any kinds of tips and tricks to make this set-up work for us, and am looking at purchasing either a Network Attached or iscsI storage system for the Proxy Storage.
I hope this is a decent description of my situation, and would love some advice.
