Binary file support for web application in 10.3?

There is such paragraph in Release notes for Flash Player 10.3:
Binary file support
Add more power to your web application with direct byte access to binary data. Control and access data in new ways, such as adding support for new file and data types or manipulating sound data in real time to create new sound effects.
Does anyone know what do they mean by this exactly?

Real programmers do it in binary!! ;-)

I coded for ECMA 2.0 for web application using WCF and deployed the management agent dll in Extension folder with WCF config file named as app.config . I am getting the error at creation of Management agent in FIM synchronization at the time of
Refresh Interfaces as The Extension could not be instantiated. May be FIM is unable to read WCF config file from extension folder of FIM sync. Or is there any other thing m missing? . Can any body suggest me.

Have you tried to put it directly in Synchronization Service binary root folder?
In the past when we needed to have config file for our MA we have put it in Synch engine folder and registered as app section within either dllhost.exe.config or miisserver.exe.config. THen we had no problem with accessing it.

How to create and save a file in flex web application ?

Hi,
I want to create and save a file form flex web application. Is it possible ?
I have done some googling and found that its only possible through file referece, which needs some serverside implementation be called.
Is it not possible with file reference to create and save file directly ?
Can any one suggest how to over come this.

code written with the Flex Builder 3 libraries will certainly run in Flash Player 10. However, what you need is not so much the capabilities of FP10 but the library functionalities of the Flex 4 package. And I think that Flex 4 code will only run in FP10 and not 9 (but haven't tested this as at work we have not yet been permitted to upgrade, so there is not a lot of point going for Flex 4!).

i have created a simple test package as follows:

i have also cerated a DAD with this command:
DBMS_EPG.CREATE_DAD (' test ', '/test/*');
i want to run this link in my web browser: http://127.0.0.1:8080/test/test.test
When i use a real database user then the function test works ok.
But i want to make it work with the user name "test" throw the function authorize.
In my opinion i am creating a DAD in a wrong way. Can anybody help me?

AFAIK, there is no official document which states that "Oracle Functional Testing for Web Applications" is certified with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i/R12. I assume it should work with Forms 10g but not with Forms 6i, so it should work (does not mean it is certified) with R12.
I would suggest you log a SR and confirm this with Oracle Support.

I have f5 load balancer infront of two foundation servers and I have not yet configured the Logical address for web applications with Loadbalancer DNS name/hostnmae. I can access all of web applications through Load Balanced URL. Do I Still need to configure Logical Web Address for web applications ?

To add to this part of the reason for load balancing is usually to support high availability (in addition to scalability). Without that logic address being setup you will find certain configuration items are pointed to one server or another and if that one server is brought down it impacts key functionality of the whole environment.
You should consider a test of the infrastructure by purposely bringing down services and/or servers to ensure you still have a fully working environment with the other redundant components. This test may take half a day to several days to really go through a full regression test of key features while taking key pieces down.

This phone runs on S40 FP1, and supports only Java applications (.jar and .jad format). It does not support .sis applications.

Can any body tell where i have to place the mdb file in the web application

Hi
I am doing a web application in NetBeans 5.0 and using MSAccess (*.mdb ) file as a backend, so now where i have to place this mdb file in this web application in NetBeans. and tell me the code how to connect to that mdb file.
The mdb file name is "db.mdb" and i am using a jsp page through which a servlet will be communicated. in servlet i am not able to connect to this mdb file.

When you think about it, your advice makes a great deal more sense. Any database BUT Access would be on a separate server (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.) Why wouldn't that be a good idea for Access, too?

I suppose not, as out of the box.
If you look into the classpath and the lib directories, there are no traces of any support for Web-Services.
However, you can set up the environment to do so, It seems to be easy to handle.

We use a lot of document in Objective, can we make OTM compatible with Objective (WinTalk)

Oracle Functional Testing for Web Applications for Oracle Apps

I am trying to test Oracle Application 11i and R12 using Oracle Functional Testing for Web Applications.
In 11i:
If i open any forms then then the Application is getting crashed whereas it's recording the html events.
In R12:
If i open any forms then the Form is getting opened but it's not recording the events happening on the forms
whereas it's recording the html events.
Please let me know whether Oracle Functional Testing for Web Applications supports can be used to test Oracle Apps 11i/R12 including the Forms.

Custom host-name for web application SharePoint 2010

I am facing a weird behavior. Can anyone help me regarding this?
Steps performed:
1. Created a web application using custom host name.
2. Created a site collection using "Blank" site template. Nothing issues.
3. Created another site collection using "Publishing" site template. Authentication prompt came multiple times. IIS logs/Fiddler/HTTP Watch are full with 401 entries.
4. Added the custom host-name with web server IP in local desktop hosts file(which is in intranet domain). Prompt issue fixed.
5. Authentication mode set as NTLM.

After you created a web application with a custom host name, if you got a prompt for the user and you may face the following issues:
There is continuous prompt for the credentials
HTTP 401.1 error
This shows that there is a problem with the Loopback configuration. This situation should occur only when we access the application from the server machine.
For fixing the problem, we have to disable the Loopback value inside the registry.Open the Registry Editor (regedit.exe) and locate the following key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa, and create a new Key Value of type DWORD inside
it and set the value to 1.

Problem in Creating Source Files (Templates) for Original Application Files

Dear Friends,
I am trying to ccreate "Source Files (Templates) for Original Application Files" . I checked the link

I created a new DOc. type TMP with no statuses, checked in KPO, assigned no. ranges.
Created DIR & assigned the template file, checked into storage category. DIR no. 10000000390 created.
In Workstation application "DOX" in define templates for originals : doc. type: ZGA, application: DOX; language- EN; no - 01; In source doc- entered doc. type- TMP, doc. no.- 10000000390, part & version
Assigned for required source file copy" ZGA doc. type. -- Default Appl. as "DOX" workstation application.
Now created a DIR with ZGA doc. type, when clicking on originals , DOX prompted and clicking on "create with template" . TMP doc. 10000000390 template open in a new window. I edited & saved. close the MS word window. When comes to DIR, it prompted, Original was changed Do you want to save the original?.
clicked on yes.
Saved the ZGA DIR. When I saw the new ZGA DIR created it didn't capture. Where I went wrong ?

Following messages if you read, it may be clear.
By having templates in place we can utilize the pre-defined documents instead creating right from scratch.
Entries can be done in the Template and save the document.
Templates are used for standardization and uniformity. By using templates time consumption for creation of documents will reduce as most of the details are maintained in the master template and the same can be utilize by using the template when creating documents.
If in DMS editing functionality is not there what is the use of templates- documentation?

Storing output file created by web application in specific folder

I am creating a text file through my web Application which is on JBoss and I have to read this file in the JSP to print the out put.
My problem is, the text file has been created in JBoss/bin, I want it to be created in my project folder.
Can some one please guide me in specifying the path to place the file.

Different results on consecutive runs of OFT for Web Applications

I am using Oracle Functional Testing for Web Applications to test share point site [using: OS = WinXP SP3, default browser = IE8.0.6]
I’ve recorded simple scenario - browsing through two pages (home page > menu link > page 1)
there is no user input involved – just browsing)
problem:
I am running the same test multiple times and I get different results – sometimes (less often) I get clear ‘Passed’ results but more often I get warnings about missing items, Severe content differences)
upon comparing Master and Tested HTML I see that test fails because no content is being logged under Tested:HTML node (the content displays properly in right browser pane)
any hints?

You probably need a close no save step at the end of your action.
In the save for web dialog, when you record the action, save to the folder you
want the batch dialog to put the images. Then set the batch dialog as below.
