Binary Save of Loaded data
I load data in the database, do the requisite operations on it by executing the applications. Now i have to load a fresh set of data by deleting this one. Is there a way by which i can save the binary of it so that i don't have to load data again.
Hi,
I validate using a set of functions in a package that return substitute values. On the basis of these substitue values records are accepted or rejected. The set contains functions for validation of date & number fields.
So, in short. Write function to validate numbers or dates. Insert known substitue values for erroneous data and validate in the next step on these substitute values.
Hope this is what you're looking for.
Cheers,
Rob

Hi
I need to add functionality to my iPad app so that I can save and load notes from a UITextView then load them when the user selects the date in the UIDatePicker that it was originally saved on, much like a calendar, notes for different dates.
I have asked around on StackOverFlow and people have been spoon feeding me code samples but I am not quite latching on. Complain all you like, but I really want to learn how to do this, however currently its fairly important that I get the functionality added in.
Here is where I asked:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4133405/core-data-iphone-save-load-depending- on-date
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4177398/save-and-load-data-coredata
I have unsuccessful so far and if anyone can help me here I would be ever so grateful and even more so if you would take a short time to take a peek at my project. You can email me at [email protected], its a fairly simple project and Im sure especially for you guys you could see what I am doing.
Hope you can help me out.Core Data pretty much does away with the concepts of saving and loading. The data is just there. If you want a particular view of data, on a specific date, for examples, you create a predicate to pull only the matching data into a particular controller/UI control.

Loading data from a binary source file
Is there a way to load/import data in binary form directly into a table? For example, if I have a file that contains <n> records of the following format:
struct {
long k1;
long k2;
long v1;
long v2;
and a table that looks like:
key1 number(11)
key2 number(11)
value1 number(11)
value2 number(11)
is there a tool to load the data without first having to convert it to delimited text?Perhaps I should elaborate. I'm trying to load data into a table that can be partitioned, indexed, etc. I always assumed that that meant using 'primitive' types for the column definitions. The challenge is that we deal with very large keyspaces (i.e. lots of rows) and numeric data. Having to convert those values to strings is very costly, having to convert those back to primitives is costly (presumably done by sqlldr or Oracle using an external table), and transmitting that data over the wire is costly.

Save and load game into and from binary file
hello!
I'm new to java and i'm doing a game at school.
im doing the same game and im doing a "save" and "Load" game. i'm doing this to save the game:
public void jMenuJogoSalvar_actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
System.out.println("SAlvar o Jogo actual");
FileOutputStream out = null;
ObjectOutputStream s = null;
int valorRet = jFileChooserSalvar.showSaveDialog(this);
if (valorRet == jFileChooserSalvar.APPROVE_OPTION) {
try {
out = new FileOutputStream(jFileChooserSalvar.getSelectedFile().getAbsoluteFile());
s = new ObjectOutputStream(out);
s.writeObject(mesa);
s.flush();
catch (FileNotFoundException fNFExc) {
System.out.println("FileNotFound");
catch (IOException ioExc) {
ioExc.printStackTrace();
finally {
try {
if (s != null) {
s.close();
if (out != null) {
out.close();
catch (IOException ex) {
and i'm getting this error:
java.io.NotSerializableException: com.sun.java.swing.plaf.windows.WindowsFileChooserUI
i have already implemented the method Serializable into the classes that i'm trying to write and the classes they use but i still have this.
Tell me what to do .
thanks for the time.Does the Object mesa have a com.sun.java.swing.plaf.windows.WindowsFileChooserUI
object in side it? or does any of the object that are in side it have a com.sun.java.swing.plaf.windows.WindowsFileChooserUI
object?

How does my application save the raw data to binary file?
Hi all,
At first, please look at my attachment. There is the part of my code (it is inside of a while loop) which saves a raw data from my firewire camera. I am thinking how does this saving process work? How does it save the data in each while loop's iteration time (pixels, rows and columns)? For example if I use 100x1000 8-bit image. There is also Set File Position.vi which makes next line after iteration (at least I think so?). It is important to know when I'm processing the data later with Matlab.
My second question:
If I set height = 100 and width = 1000 as parameters, image indicator from IMAQdx Grab's image out says that the image is "only" 1000x96 8-bit image. Where are "missing" 4 bits?
B R,
Jick
Attachments:
binarysave.JPG 40 KBHi again,
Here is my whole CameraSoftware. It is a part of the bigger measurement program.
I hope you can find the solution of "lost 4 bits"

Can we load data using .xls in user define format(without using default template)
Hi All,
I'm new bee to FDM. Part of HFM support i use FDM to load flatfile data. Just has a bit more knowledge than end user.
Requirement is that i need to load data from MS excel to Planning application via FDM.
Previously application is in Excel(Macro driven) and upstream(data) is also in Excel(multi tab).
As of my knowledge data can be loaded from .csv file(Excel save as CSV) with single tab.
Could you please let me know possibilities to load data from .xls(.xlsx) to FDM.
Thanks in advance.If you want to load data using Excel, utilising FDM's out-of-the-box functionality you will have to use one of the templates supplied i.e. Excel Trial Balance or Excel Multi-load template.

Errors when loading data to ODS
Hi,
I am getting the following dump when loading data to ODS
whta might be the problem
Runtime Error MESSAGE_TYPE_X
Date and Time 29.09.2006 14:26:52
ShrtText
The current application triggered a termination with a short dump.
What happened?
The current application program detected a situation which really
should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was
triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).
What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.
is especially useful if you want to keep a particular message.

How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:
"MESSAGE_TYPE_X" C
"SAPLSDCL" or "LSDCLF00"
"INTERNAL_ERROR"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->
Save->Local File (unconverted)".
2. A suitable printout of the system log
To obtain this, call the system log through transaction SM21.
Limit the time interval to 10 minutes before and 5 minutes
after the short dump. In the display, then select the function
"System->List->Save->Local File (unconverted)".
3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
supply the source code.
To do this, select the Editor function "Further Utilities->
Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.

How to load data from a virtual cube with services
Hello all,
we have set up a virtual cube with service and create a BEx report to get the data from an external database. That works fine. The question is now:
Is it some how possible to "load" the data from this virtual cube with service (I know that there are not really data...) into an other InfoCube?
If that is possible, can you please give my some guidance how to set up this scenario.
Thanks in advance
JürgenHi:
I don't have system before me, so try this.
I know it works for Remote Cube.
Right Click on the Cube and Select Generate Export Data Source.
If you can do this successfully, then go to Source Systems tab and select the BW. Here, Right CLick on select Replicate DataSources.
Next, go to InfoSOurces, click on Refresh. Copy the name of Virtual Cube and add 8 as a prefix and search for the infosource.
If you can see it, that means, you can load data from this cube to anywhere you want, just like you do to ODS.
ELSE.
Try and see if you can create an InfoSpoke in Virtual Cube. Tran - RSBO.
Here, you can load to a database table and then, from this table, you can create datasource, etc.
ELSE.
Create query and save it as CSV file and load it anywhere you want. This is more difficult.
Good luck

164Hi Hardeep,
Looks like the transformation and DTP need to be activated again.
The error is RSBK (299) - 'Invalid program status'. So please activate the transformation and DTP possibly activate the DSO's too.
It should then work.
Thanks

Duplication Error while loading data in write optimized DSO
Hi Experts,
I have an issue.In BI7 I'm trying to load the data in a WRITE OPTIMIZED ODS from the controlling data source 0CO_OM_CCA_10. I'm getting the data properly in PSA, but while loading it into my WODSO i'm getting the duplication error although my keys fields and data fields are properly placed in my data target(WODSO).
pls let me know what is the solution to load it successfully.
Thanks in Advance.
AmitHi,
thanks for your reply
I'm getting this error message:
Diagnosis
During loading, there was a key violation. You tried to save more than
one data record with the same semantic key.
The problematic (newly loaded) data record has the following properties:
o DataStore object: GWFDSR02
o Request: DTPR_4BA3GF8JMQFVQ8YUENNZX3VG5
o Data package: 000006
o Data record number: 101
Although i have selected the key fields which identifies unique record,then also i'm getting the duplication error.
Even i have reffered to the BI content for this data source and found that it has the same key fields as of mine.
Debjani: i need unique records without duplication and i'm doing a full load in DTP.
What is to be done pls help
Thanks in advance.

Getting an error while trying to load data into cube
Hello,
I am trying to load data into cube but it gives me following error:
fiscal year variant not expected.
Can someone tell what could be done on fiscal year
Cheers
Jim.Hi,
May be you have not mapped anything to fiscal variant or not included fiscal variant in the cube but you have used fiscal period inside it.
You should load fiscal variant if you wanna use fiscal period.
Map fiscal variant to a constant K4 or from the source if present and then see the result.
Generally it is K4 except for FI-CO cubes .
In the transfer rules, select field '0fiscvarnt' 'Tp' click
Enter K4 for Constant................Save and Activate
Iam sure you'd fix the issue.

Regards,
user1672911Hi,
The trouble in "<default>:" - if you set XML_PATH as C:\DATA_FILE\www.xml instead <default>:C:\DATA_FILE\www.xml- it will work correctly.

How to load Data of 2 tables into 1 dimension? Snowflake?
I want to load data of scott.dept & scott.emp into one dimension using AWM.
Don't want to join the 2 tables into 1, don't want to create a view either.
Is there a way?
I tried to select 'snowflake' as the dimension table type in the mapping editor.
but the data was not loaded properly.
only the dept data got loaded.
Any idea?I created a new dimension called DEPT and added two levels : DEPT and EMP.
In the mapping I used the setting 'Other' rather than 'snowflake'. It requires a bit more mapping as you have to set the mapping details for each attribute and the member/parent details. This worked and loaded the data correctly. The mapping looks a bit strange as their are lines everywhere. But it works.
However, I then started playing with this to try and expand it a little further and things started to get very difficult
1) Manager- I tried to add an additional level to map the manager but this would not work because you cannot find the department for the manager from the existing table. If you try and use the Dept column what will be allocated is the department for the last employee in that table with the selected manager.
2) All - there is no way to add an 'All' level. Most OLAP dimensions require an 'All' or top level node to allow the data to be aggregate to a useful total. May be this should be an automatic feature of AWM - A possible enhancement request? Who knows it might be in the next release of AWM which is due shortly.
3) It is not possible to save the mapping - once you have created the mapping if you click on any other node in the AWM tree and then click on mapping again the type of dimension table reverts to 'Star Schema'. If you change the type to 'Other' some of the mappings get lost. This looks like a bug.
4) If you want to make this a value based dimension then you have to use the natural keys in the data. If you use surrogate keys then you can only create a level based dimension.
Hope this helps
