Binding Mac to a OD for hardened email access

Hi All,
Is there any way to bind any Mac to be able to access email ONLY on that Mac.This is outside the client server architecture, That is, the Mac will on be the internet and when it contacts the server, unless it is the designated machine, the mails should not download. Is this a possibility within the native features, not involving third party associates like tokens,certificates..etc?

Ok, so I set up my old xserve as my OD Master and the new mail server as a Replica. ..bound just fine. The master has SSL turned on with "default" certificate. I tryed to log into the mailserver to get mail with macmail and it gives me "mail is not enabled for this user". Netinfo is set to local only. What am I doing wrong?

Setting up MX Record for External email Access

To All,
I'm having trouble getting mail sent from external users to email accounts setup on my internally hosted server.
I have setup my server in a Standard Configuration using the following format for my FQDN:
server.mydomain.com (not real name)
I have checked both Primary Zone and Reverse Zone and both check fine.
I can send and receive email, while connected within my local domain, between users I have setup on my server using the format:
[email protected]
I can send email from inside the network to an outside email account, but cannot receive email from any users outside.
I have POP, IMAP, and SMTP ports (110, 143, and 25, respectively) all forwarded to my server thru my AEBS.
Consulting the setup guides, I have found these references to editing the MX record to allow for external email access using the [email protected] format:
+"If you don’t want to use your server’s fully qualified DNS name for users’ email addresses, the+
+DNS service must also include an MX record for your server. For example, if your server’s DNS+
+name is myserver.example.com and you want to have email addresses like [email protected],+

1) What format do you want your users' email address in? (e.g. [email protected], >[email protected], [email protected], etc.)
I want my users to have a [email protected] email address.
I set up an A record as you suggested:
mail.mydomain.com A 1.2.3.4
My MX record was setup:
mydomain.com 10 mail.mydomain.com
However, I am still getting returned email from outside users. They are getting the following error:

Checking the Server Logs for IMAP I am getting these errors:

When I try and use an online MX Record checker to check the MX record, it says the mail.mydomain.com record is invalid.
It's not until I change my MX record back to:
+@ 10 mydomain.com+
will the MX record show valid.
Network Utility scans show the following with the MX record set to @ 10 mydomain.com:

If I have it set up the way you suggested, the Network Utility and MX Checker reports that the NameServers don't respond to the entered MX record name.

The Yahoo! IMAP server “imap.mail.yahoo.com” rejected the password for user “[email protected]”
Enter your password again or cancel.
I enter my password, click the box for it to remember in in my Keychain and ten minutes later, it pops back up.
My MacBook Pro

Stupid question from a Mac newbie: multiple users for webbased email

This problem has infuriated me over the last 4 hours---likely a keychain/cookie issue--- but help has been hard to find. New computer Latest OS X.
I use safari (or firefox) to log into a web based email account (happens to be an exchange server). initial screen comes up. Click on 'log in'. Up pops a username/password screen. Type in user name, password, don't click on "save password", get into my email account--- no problem. Check email, happy.
My wife, wants to log into her account.
I quit safari or firefox. She clicks on the icon. initial screen comes up. Click on 'log in' and up comes MY EMAIL. She did not log on.
Not sure what to do. Want to set up the web-based email to not automatically log someone into another persons' email as I want to use this computer basically as one account, with multiple people logging into muliple web based email.
Can this be done easily?

Just to be devils advocate, mind if I ask how you quit the applications? If you just closed the window by clicking the red circle at the top left corner, then both Safari and Firefox would still be running with your login session details still active.
Try pressing command+q to really quit the application (or click and hold the Dock icon and select Quit). Alternatively, select 'Logout' (or the equivalent option) on your web email account to close your active session.

Exchange 2010 email access from iPhone 4

We have Exchange 2010 in our network and we are publishing OWA & Outlook Anywhere using TMG 2010 with GoDaddy Public Certificate.
Everything works well.
I can access the OWA & Outlook Anywhere from Non Domain machines without any issues but when it comes to iPhone it just doesn't work.
I followed the procedure to configure iPhone from this link and selected the manual configuration option but i get the

Are you sure that the "On My Mac" folders weren't empty? If all your mail accounts are IMAP, they may have been.

I want to transfer emails from outlook 2011 for mac to outlook 2010 for windows.
Outlook 2011 exports mails only in olm format and there is no option to import olm files in outlook 2010.
I can drag and drop emails from outlook 2011 to a finder folder which saves emails as eml files. How can import eml files into outlook 2010.

The cheapest Mac available new is a Mac Mini. It is no bigger than many an external hard drive. But the screen and keyboard and mouse must be purchased separately. They support USB and Bluetooth keyboards and mice, and pretty much any DVI, HDMI, or displayport display. Although the iMac is certainly an attractive option if all you want to deal with is deciding on a printer. I still recommend getting an Apple USB keyboard for the occasional times you may need to troubleshoot startup issues. Normally not a problem, but as it gets older some issues can be fixed at startup or diagnosed at startup.

It sounds like your hard disk is not accessible, I would first you need to start your iMac with the system DVD that came with your system, then format the hard drive with disk utility, then install the Mac OS X on to your newly formatted drive.

Aliases are merely another address within the same account, you won't see additional groups of settings for them. You should however see them as an option in the pull down "From" menu when you create an email.

Thank you for the question. Are you seeing the previous Apple ID in the iTunes and App Store? If you are, use these steps to sign in with your new Apple ID:
Sign in with a different Apple ID
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores.
Tap your Apple ID.
If you see the option to Sign In, you can change your Apple ID now.
Tap Sign Out.
Enter your Apple ID and Password and tap Sign In.
Or if you don't have another Apple ID, tap Create New Apple ID.

If you trying to change the Apple ID signed into iCloud, use these steps:
On your iOS device’s Home screen, go to Settings > iCloud, then at the bottom of the screen, tap Delete Account.

Connect the HDD to your MBP. Open Disk Utility>Erase and drag the HDD icon inrt the Name field. The format should be Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Click on the Erase button.
Then try the clone process again. You may use Disk Utility>Restore or a third party cloning application such as Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper.
