BindingSource Filter ignoring accents (using COLLATE)

Question

Hello, I have a database in Access format and I'm using this structure to filter the registers:
me.TablaArticulosBindingSource.Filter =
"[Proveedor] LIKE '%"&
ProveedorFiltroTxtBox.Text & "%'"
This works perfect but I need not to recognize words with accents. For example I have in the field Proveedor a value "Locación" and this is not found when the variable ProveedorFiltroTxtBox.Text has the value "Locacion" (without accent)
In others discussions I could found there is a way to indicate this by using command COLLATE but I was not succesful in the implementation
I tried with:
me.TablaArticulosBindingSource.Filter =
"[Proveedor]  LIKE '%"&
ProveedorFiltroTxtBox.Text & "%' COLLATE SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AI"
and
me.TablaArticulosBindingSource.Filter =
"[Proveedor] COLLATE SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AI  LIKE '%"&
ProveedorFiltroTxtBox.Text & "%'"
But both of them end with an error message
Error de sintaxis: falta el operando después del operador 'COLLATE'. (It is necesary an operand after COLLATE instruction)

First off I removed your other post on filtering as that question could had been asked here as it is the same topic simply doing another filter. In the future if you feel that the need to ask two questions first close out one then open another and please
do not post as you have done here.
What is supported is dictated by the underlying data source as
described here. An alternate approach you might look at is done in
this article which shows both filtering from the BindingSource and also from the underlying data source. If [] does not work using these methods then it's the data source not supporting it, not the BindingSource. You might need to resort to writing a SQL
statement in the xsd file and overload the Fill method for the table bypassing components on the form.
