Forgotten Bios Admin Password COmpaq CQ-62

Hey guys,
I have unfortunately forgotten my BIOS admin password, I still have my startup password, but for some unknown reason I made the BIOS admin one different. I have now tried too many times and all I get is an error code 58827813.

Hi,
Unfortunately, business machines such as Probooks or Elitebooks have more stringent security than consumer models - they don't produce 'halt codes', the password cannot be derived from the Serial No. and the code is stored in non-volatile memory so removing the RTC cell will not reset the password in this case.
If you Contact HP Business support they should be able to send you a customised SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

BIOS admin password recovery (aka "system disable")

Hi,
I will be very grateful if someone could help me to reset BIOS admin password on my HP Pavilion tx2500 - I didn't use it for more than one year so the password is obviously forgotten.
After 3 invalid attempts it displays "System disable Key: 72015992"

yes I am OperationDumbo when it comes to cpu's nowadays...I read and learn a little & then become very dangerous...I have a smart cpu friend to help me...he didn't know about my cpu and resetting the bios admin password...he suggested unplugging battery for 20 min and didn't work..I have tried every passw I thought it might be & wrote it down on my cpu paperwork which got lost in a move.....sure would appreciate any ideas you have for resetting it...After I tried what I thought it was 3-4 times I get an error message14284278...I tried that # and it didn't work either...I haven't figured out how to post in this forum yet so I pm'd you...I guess I have an acct to see if you respond... HP 2000 Windows 8 Bios/Admin Password

Hello, I have an HP 2000 with windows 8. I am able to get into the desktop and have the OS password.
But I am trying to sell this Laptop to my friend who doesn't like Windows 8. I tried to reinstall Windows 7
on this machine for her. But it will not let me boot to a CD. It says that I need an administrator password.
After I try 3 passwords it gives me a code and says "system is disabled" Is there anyway I can reset this password
Any help would be appreciated..

I am no longer near the laptop tonight. But I will try that password tomorrow. I really appreciate your help. I have run into this issue a couple times with other models. As I am inclined to learn as much about computers as possible, I was wondering how you were able to figure that password out or how you came up with those numbers. I would love to learn how to do this for when I come across this issue again. And thanks again for the quick assistance!

I just set the BIOS admin password yesterday and today it's not working. What are my options for resetting it?

Logon the computer and use the internal structure to set a password.
Should be via Control Panel, Users.

As your notebook is a business class machine, security is more stringent - the password is stored in non-volatile memory and there are no 'backdoor' passwords. Your best option would be to contact HP regarding this.

Problem:Forgot Windows 8 admin password and no reset disk available, how can I reset Windows 8 admin password? On the occasion, how to reset password on Windows 8 seems to be our problematic issue. However, the problem looks difficult, not difficult actually. Two factors make efforts on it. One is the new characteristics of Windows 8 system, the other is software technology development. So just let me help you to solve it. Just choose one and put it into practice:1. Get User password via Windows Password Hint.2. Get into computer with PIN code, and reset password for locked account.3. Login windows 8 Via Microsoft MSN Account.4. Reset Windows password with another available admin account.5. Reset Windows 8 password with iSunshare password tool. These methods will be introduced in details for people who have encountered or are facing this problem. 1. Get Administrator password via Windows Password HintWhen we are creating our Windows system account and login password, a password hint will be asked to set up for preparation. This password hint had better can remind you, only just you of lost or forgotten password. So it couldn’t like the password, but is related to your login password. As a result, while you type a wrong password, the password hint will pops up below the password input box. Based on the password hint, you can think of your origin password. Method 1: Recover Windows 8.1 Administrator Password with Third-party Software
1. Download and install Windows Password Recovery Tool Ultimate on a workable computer and launch it.
2. Insert a blank CD/DVD or USB Flash Drive to the workable computer; choose a way to burn a password reset disk.
3. Insert the created reset disk into the locked computer and restart the locked computer, then you need to set BIOS to boot the computer from the disk. If your computer with Windows 8.1 preinstalled uses UEFI, you should disable UEFI Secure Boot firstly.
4. On the showed program after several steps, you can see a list of accounts, choose the administrator account and follow instructions remained.
Method 2: Recover Windows 8.1 Admin Password by Password Reset Disk Created before
1. Sign in Windows 8.1 with a wrong password, then under the password box will appear the option of "Reset password". Click it.

There is a built-in Administrator account in Windows 8.1 which has no password. It is different from a normal administrator account and has super privileges over other accounts. If the super account has been enabled before you lost password, you can use it
to crack Windows 8.1 administrator password or just remove it. Here are detailed steps:
Note: this method can be only used when you have enabled the super administrator account. As the built-in administrator account is usually turned off, you can go back to Windows Password Recovery Tool for Windows 8.1 admin password recovery.
1. After you start your PC, you will see a list of accounts on the computer; choose the super administrator account to log into your computer.
2. Now you can change or remove Windows 8.1 administrator password from "Start-> Control Panel-> User Accounts->Sign-in Options" easily.
