BIOS Administrator Password Not Working

I just set the BIOS admin password yesterday and today it's not working. What are my options for resetting it?

Logon the computer and use the internal structure to set a password.
Should be via Control Panel, Users.
I am a volunteer. I am not an HP employee.

Can't install because of Administrator Password not working

Hi--I can't install anything because my administrator password is not accepted. I get a message that says something like this software requires Administrator or higher level privileges. I've checked it under "Accounts" in System Preferences. I've even changed it there, then changed it back, and I still get the same message. Help!! Janet

First off, what OS version are you running?
Second, are you saying that the installer application or something else is rejecting your password, or doesn't give you an opportunity to enter it? Where are you trying to install something, & what is it?
You should see a dialog box asking for your password with info about what app is asking for authentication, or at least be able to tell us what app is running (from its name appearing next to the Apple logo in the menu bar).
Depending on your situation, a permissions repair in Disk Utility may help.

Administration password not working

I've just updated my OS X system to mountain lion on my 07 Macbook Pro and now I can't update any of my appications do to the fact it wont register my administrative password anymore. Ive reset it and it still wont work. I use it for music and need it back up ASAP..

Reset it from recovery. Boot to recovery holding Command R. At the top click Utilities>Terminal>Type: "resetpassword" no caps, no spaces. Reset the password from here. click save in bottom right.

Bios administrator password no code HP Elitebook 8440p

Hi all,
I am trying to update the BIOS driver for a laptop that I recently purchased from a friend. Unfortunately he doesn't know the BIOS administrator password. When I tried entering various passwords three times, I was just informed that I could not update the driver but I did not receive any error code like other users.
Could anyone please advise how to work around this? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I did take time to read the threads posted with a similar heading but they did not provide a solution to this particular scenario where no error code is given.

Unfortunately, business machines such as Probooks or Elitebooks have more stringent security than consumer models - they don't produce 'halt codes', the password cannot be derived from the Serial No. and the code is stored in non-volatile memory so removing the RTC cell will not reset the password in this case.
If you Contact HP Business support, they should be able to send you a customised SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

HP ProBook 4510s bios administrator password ????

I have a second hand ProBook 4510s laptop suddenly when opening it asked me for a Bios administrator password.
while i did't create any password .
so i can't boot to OS or USB or any other external device .
please help me.

There are no master password generators for ProBooks or EliteBooks and most business class laptops.
If you can boot and still access a Windows OS try this first.
1. HP BIOS Configuration Utility.

SLD connection user/password not working.

I am new bee in SAP Netweaver.
I installed SAP Netweaver for java.
Now I want to connect it with BAPI from SAP.
so, some where i am sucked with SLD. I opened Visula Administrator and nothing there to connect.
I also tried http://localhost:50000/sld but my user/password not working.
1. What to do to see/get username/password for SLD?
2. How to connect netweaver to access SAP ZBAPI?

Where is your UME running? On the java engine, on an ABAP system or at a LDAP?
What i want to say is that your user has to gain the rights to connect to the SLD. Easiest way is to give you admin rights - to do that you have to know where your userstore is running....
I am not sure if this is correct http://localhost:50000/sld
Normally it should look like http://my.sap.com/56600/sld where my.sap.com is a fqdn and 56600 is the port of the java engine. 66 ist the system number of the as java.
ZBAPI? I do not really know but i think you have to use a jco to connect...

I had full control of the laptop BIOS, but did a factory security reset and after that I can’t change my pre boot password.

Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Tap your ID and sign out. Reboot your iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Go back to the settings and sign back in again and see of it works now.
If it doesn't work, post back with some information that might help us help you. Describe what you are doing in some detail and it might let us better understand why this is happening.

I got a MacBook Pro today. The previous owner had Apple wipe it clean for the new owner, me. When I first tried putting my wifi password in, I wasn't remembering exactly what it was, so I tried many different possibilities. Since then, I found my password in my office. I put it in, when it asked for it. But, it's not taking it. It just says searching for networks. And, this is after I identified the correct network. So, I am wondering if perhaps after a number of "tries" does it not accept ANY further attempts ? You know like Banking passwords....you get locked out. I'm wondering if I'm locked out?

No, not like a bank timeout.
Open keychain in your Utilities Folder and look for old router password, or delete wrong passwords.
You can always reset your router password to something new that you can remember.

Password not working, reset and not working again ...

Hi I have had nothing but problems today I think my account has been hacked. Couldn't log in to Skype on PC or iPad kept saying my password was incorrect, though same password I have always had. I changed my password by having Skype send me a new one to my email. I activated it and created new password and all good. IN the middle of a call it shut down suddenly and when I tried to log on again, it said it didn't recognise the password I only just created that had worked already. Kept trying and still nothing. So I went to create a THIRD password and now skype is saying my email address doesn't exist. I have had this account for years and they only just sent me a new password to that email address so it certainly does exist. Left for a few hours and now tried again and it says i have tried too many times today. I have actually tried to create new account to be able to use skype. Can anyone explain what is happening? I am currently scanning for viruses but i really want to be able to use my old account with all my contacts on it rather than start from scratch! My mother in law is having the same problem with her account so I wonder if it's a virus?? At the same time I have started receiving a bunch of emails from 'skype' in Chinese so I assume this is connected somehow? Please any ideas on how to fix this?!
