Bios download. It's required to have support contract
Hi,
looking for a bios update of my two SunFire x4450 i've noticed that i can't download anything without "customer support identifier" or some other form of support contract.
All my other hardware is made by other vendors and all their software is public.
Oracle/Sun policy is different?

There is a very limited amount of content and/or product that is available for free.
An update to the BIOS of your system will effect how it functions.
If you accidentally muck up the update process you'll be calling them for service.
Think about how much a service visit will cost you with no contract coverage.
Oracle/Sun policy is different?Sun used to let a lot of stuff "go out the door" for free.
Sun doesn't exist any more. Whatever policies they may have had, do not exist any more.
Sun wasn't able to survive with the amount of product it gave away.
Oracle is not Sun Microsystems.

It has its own policies and you are experiencing one of them.
If those systems are important to your company, they should be covered by a service contract and you wouldn't be asking these questions.

If you register the machine with sun update connection using updatemanager
but specify you don't have support contract.
Then updatemanager and smpatch analyze/update should let you download security patches but no others. -

I have a Macbook Pro. I just purchased Acrobat Pro DC and keep getting an error message when I try to download, saying I need to contact support. I've eliminated previous versions of the application because they were US-based versions and I'm now living in Australia. I checked Flash and it seems to be installed correctly. what am I doing wrong?

Try downloading apps on your iPod (not on your Mac or PC). Apple now permits downloading "last compatible versions" of some apps.

New issue , when importing new paid app spreadsheet into Configurator iTunes attempts to download an ipa file for each redeem code . If you have 100 codes 100 downloads will start. Call enterprise support if you are seeing this issue.

I was at 30% on the arvato downloader and it messed up, suddenly sent a error message and said "download canot continue, plese contact adobe support" I have been sitting here for 2 hours dowloading. I am upset. I didnt pay over 100 bucs not to be able to use it. I have customers waiting!! what do I do???

I recently changed my iCloud email address but now when I try enter my debit card details so I can download music it says I have to contact iTunes support why?

Which version of operating system are you running? Please go to Apple in menu bar, click on 'about this Mac" and click on the numbers under the big Mac OS X until you see "version 10.x.x" - copy what it says and post it here please.

NO, I do not have an ATI Card I only have the internal AMD Graphics pre built on the motherboard.
About a year ago I had a recurring issue with Firefox in which I had to disable hardware acceleration inside Firefox to prevent certain kinds of menu-related graphics corruption in the browser. It worked as a workaround, but fortunately I did not have to wait long for Mozilla or AMD or both (who knows?) to get things straightened out and I haven't had a problem with hardware acceleration inside Firefox ever since--for the past several months if not a year, or more, in fact. HW accel does, in my opinion, produce a superior result although the difference might well be negligible for some people with different eyes/monitors... At any rate, that particular Firefox problem has been long ago solve-ed, as Clusoe might put it! I do not recall the precise version of Firefox I was running when the hardware acceleration bug was finally cured, but at the moment I am running version 33.0.2 and I have *no* such problems (I do not use Chrome at all.)
It sounds like you need a driver update--for your particular AMD board in which everything is integrated. Even though the hardware is integrated, it still requires software drivers for Windows that are separate from the motherboard bios.

But as I mentioned, keep the motherboard bios separate in your thinking from your Windows device drivers--you need both...
So follow the link above, selected the "Drivers" tab, select your OS version, and then download and install all of the device drivers applicable to your board...all three (3) of them, actually. I'd just make three folders on C:\, AMD System & Chipset drivers, AMD on-board LAN drivers, and AMD on-board audio drivers, and download the respective files into each folder and then *install* them all, beginning with your LAN drivers, then your System & chipset drivers, and finally your audio drivers, rebooting where prompted. (Your AMD video drivers are a part of the System & chipset driver package.)
Do this *before* installing a new bios version as simply installing these latest drivers could very well solve your problems entirely. Remember as well to check back on the above page--once a month or so, to check for updated drivers as all such drivers are updated on a regular basis by their respective hardware OEMs. Although I don't own an AMD APU system (check my Sig) I suspect that due to the highly integrated nature of the hardware you need to do driver upgrades exactly like you'd do them with a laptop--only go to the horse's mouth for your device drivers--only go to AMD, in other words, in the case of an APU system like this one. I have found that in the (very) rare past wherein I have seen errors similar if not identical to the ones you report here, more likely than not a driver update fixed me up, so I'd surely give that idea a spin.
(P.S. I was having a bit of fun trying out some of the newer advanced text-manipulation features of the revamped forum....Niiii-i-i-i-iiice...!)
