Bios F28 for dv2

I have 2 identical laptops HP Pavillion dv2-1035ea - p/n NP805EA#ABU.
I had given one for repair in 2010 and the HP Service repair installed the Bios F28 which made the machine quieter and it is performing smoothly.
I did not realise it then, but recently I noticed my other dv2-1035ea is much louder compared to the one I had sent for repairs. The fan is always running and the performance on windows 7 is not as efficient.
The bios installed on the machine given for repair in 2010 is F.28 dated 07th January 2010.
The other machine has the Bios 27 installed and is performing at a lower benchmark in terms of processor performance and ram performance as per Windows Experience Index. When I downgraded the bios to F24 it performs better.
My question - how do I get hold of Bios F28 which is not available on the HP website to upgrade from F27. The latest version is F27 on the website. If this is not available to download, how can I transfer the Bios F28 from one laptop to the other which has F27 on it. Is there a way to do this?

I have read your post on how you are looking to upgrade the BIOS on your dv2 notebook, just like the identical model you mentioned, and I would be happy to help you!
Even though the BIOS is working on the repaired dv2-1035ea computer, the F.28 BIOS version installed was designed for the HP Pavilion dv2500.
Alternatively, I recommend following the steps in this document on Reducing Fan Noise; which should help decrease the excessive sound coming from from your computer's cooling fan. You can also increase the speed and efficiency of your notebook by following this resource on Resolving slow system performance (Windows 7).

First of all the BIOS update is not necessary if your notebook functions correctly.
But back to your questions;
On the Toshiba European driver page you will find all available drivers and also the newest available BIOS. At this time it seems to be a 3.10-WIN version
How to find out the BIOS version?
This is very easy you have to access the BIOS and then you could see the BIOS version.
To access the BIOS you have to press the F2 button immediately after notebook was started.

Is it possible to generate a BIOS update, for allowing the notebook to have 32 GB (2x16 GB) SODIMMs. It seems that the Memory Reference Code needs some adjustments to allow this. I got currently the MSI GP60 2PE Leopard (i7-4700HQ • 16 GB DIMM).
The currently available modules are IMM2G64D3LSOD8A-B15E or the IMM2G64D3LSOD8A-C15E from Intelligent Memory.

Yep, newest updates and drivers for your notebook you will find on the Toshiba download pages, as Jimi already mentioned.
Just as a little hint from my side is, that if there is nothing wrong with your notebook, just leave it as it is.
As there is the saying, never touch a running system.
So keep that in mind. ;)

There you could find all drivers and BIOS for the Satellite A200-14D (PSAEC)
But I checked the page and the BIOS 1.8 for Win Vista 32bit is still the newest one.

Cannot download BIOS file for Portege Z930 - error 404

+1 This is very frustrating. Tempro alerts are all very well but no use at all if Toshiba can't be bothered to maintain links!

Hey, is there an update for G770 for using only the discreet video adapter ? I'm using linux and the latest fglrx driver still can't properly start the X system.

no new bios update for your system but you should be able to change the settings in bios.

Cannot download BIOS Update for Tecra M5

Bug in latest 2 bios updates for FM2-A55M-E33

Hey guys,
Today I tried to update my bios of my FM2-A55M-E33 to the latest version(7721vA4.zip). Once everything completed succesfully, the bios wouldn't boot anymore.
I plugged out my 3TB hdd and it worked fine. I installed an earlier version of the bios(7721vA0.zip) and this did work with my 3TB hdd.
So in short:
The latest bios updates for FM2-A55M-E33 will freeze(black screen) at bios start when a 2TB+ hdd drive is plugged in.
Namely:
FM2-A55M-E33 (MS-7) V10.3 BIOS Release
FM2-A55M-E33 (MS-7) V10.4 BIOS Release
I hope you can fix this asap, especially since these are the latest updates.

Which is a A8M2N-LA Naos-GL6, is this that what you have? And what BIOS are you looking for, or should I say what did you try to put on it?
I happen to have the same motherboard on an old Compaq, so I could possibly exctact the BIOS file if it is the one you are looking for. It showes 3.00 I beleive but I will check if you need the info.

No one will give you that. You only can download to update the bios you will not get the source code and any bios you download and edit is use at your own risk. And since we have no P/N no one can direct you to the BIOS update your system needs. If HP support didn't give you this information why do you think the HP user are going to have access to that information.

The only time there will be is to fix a conflict between hardware

Hmm just posting my specs in the thread itself may have been a bit to much sticking to the hard facts but yea I would like to know if there is any bios update for my gpu, I have seen quite a few of these threads here before and I would like to see if I could also get a shiny new bios update for my card.

Need help finding a BIOS flash tool and BIOS updates for HP Compaq nc8230 running Windows 7

I put together this laptop. It didnt come with a hardrive, and basically I installed everything from the ground up.
It is an HP Compaq nc8230, IDE Hard drive, Windows 7 32 bit. The BIOS on it is the original one. I've searched far and wide, but to no avail, it seems there's zero support for this model anymore.
Basically it was never intended to go beyond Vista, back in 2004 when this model was introduced.
The reason I am searching for some kind of BIOS update, whether it is BIOS or SMBios is to get the ACPI driver to recognize the primary laptop battery. This is crucial: it only sees both as the travel battery. Other than that, all else is fine.

You cannot use the windows based flash because you installed windows 7, so I provided the link to the DOS based flash.
You need to use a USB floppy drive for this update.
Oh, and the card reader won't work unless you install this updated driver which is not on your PC's support and driver page.
