What is the DEFAULT BIOS Password for my Probook 6550b?

I have been struggling to find a DEFAULT password for my 6550b (i5 Windows 7)
I want to change my boot order so I can install Windows 8, but I can't since if I install it, I would be stuck in limbo and I don't want to take the risk.
I have previously cracked the BIOS Password on a Dell Latitude E4510 and everyone said that was IMPOSSIBLE! So I am sure you guys can help here, thanks

Forgot bios password of hp probook 4540s

Last week I purchased a brand new hp notebook, Probook 4540s core i5. and i have installed windows 7 with 32bit.
unintentionally i set the bios password, now i don't remember it.

How to reset BIOS password on HP Probook 4740

My son blocked BIOS with administrator password and now I can't logon to BIOS and change boot order. Tried to register at support, but h20565.www2.hp.com timed out from my place. Please, inform me, how to pass password recovery procedure and reset password? Son forgot password and we can't boot from any other device, but hard drive. If Windows will broken, we can't recover it by boot CD. Please, help.

Dell E5530 BIOS password locked!

The password should work, if it doesn't it normally means a Motherboard replacement is needed.When you got the password was it emailed to you or did you note it down? As it's case sensitive and - I'm not sure if the agent told you this - when the password is entered in the field you need to hold CTRL and then press ENTER for it to take affect.If you haven't tried that, try it and let me know if it works. If it doesn't and you confirmed the password with the agent, then you will need a Motherboard replacement to fix this.There's 3 options available to you for a replacement:1. I'm a Dell employee working on Spiceworks.
The BIOS will need to be unlocked using a password reset. The only way to get the password reset is to call in to Dell technical support. If you go to http://www.dell.com/support and click on "Contact Us", then "Technical Support" you will find the telephone number to dial for your country and they should be able to help get the password reset.

Unfortunately, business machines such as Probooks or Elitebooks have more stringent security than consumer models - they don't produce 'halt codes', the password cannot be derived from the Serial No. and the code is stored in non-volatile memory so removing the RTC cell will not reset the password in this case.
If you Contact HP Business support they should be able to send you a customised SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

HP 2740p BIOS password

I recently bought an HP 2740p with a BIOS password locked that i cannot access, it came from a legit source and the guy just forgot the password, my question is does removing the RTC battery or CMOS battery resets the password? And I just to be make sure, is the Sophos Safeguard Logon the BIOS password? If the CMOS battery removal does not work is formatting the hard drive the easiest way or purchasing a recovery cd from hp?

Let me just be clear on your issue:
Is the password in the BIOS or is it the Windows logon password?
If the password is in Windows and you can't access the operating system, then yes, you can reformat. There should be a recovery partition on the notebook, and you hit the F11 key at bootup and select the recovery option. It will erase everything on the hard drive and restore the notebook like the day it was shipped from the factory.
If the password is in the BIOS, that will prevent you from making any changes to the system configuration. You will not be able to add any hardware (hard drive, memory, etc), or change the boot order or any other settings in the BIOS.
Reformatting the hard drive or flashing the BIOS will do nothing to erase the BIOS password because the password is stored on a hardware memory chip soldered onto the motherboard, not on the hard drive like the Windows password is. You probably won't be able to flash the BIOS without providing the password, and even if you can, the password will still remain intact.
HP technical support cannot help. They only way they can help is if the person who owned the notebook originally, submitted the BIOS password to HP for safe keeping via the HP Sparekey program, which is found on newer HP business notebooks from the last 2-3 years or so.
The original owner has to contact HP to retrieve the password (if they registered it in the first place), and even then they will have to provide proof of ownership before HP will release the password.
Unless the person who sold you the PC can remember the BIOS password (if it is the BIOS password), there is nothing you can do.

If you can boot and still access a Windows OS try this first.
1. HP BIOS Configuration Utility.

Mazzif’s program will detect your UUID, Serial Number and model number then use that information to produce an .exe file to clear the password.
If you find it to be too technical then.

HP Probook/Elitebook BIOS Password Reset [Utility]

So a few months back, I got an HP Core i7 Probook 6550b from my dad (that he picked up 2nd hand). It had a busted display though. Upon repair, it was found to be BIOS Password protected. And thus began my quest to reset the protection. Long story short here, I did what I set out to do. I was able to reset the TPM, and clear the password. Along the way, I have applied my technique to a few other models and have confirmed successful TPM reset. I now have a self contained utility to generate "keys" based on your specific serial number and uuid. The Key is unit specific. The keys are DOS executable , and will clear the TPM.
