BIOS Request for 2 R9 280X, One PCB V1.0, another PCB V1.2 (BF4 edition)

Hi there, I have flashed both my cards to the 015.040.000.000.003435 (113-3865000-X77) BIOS that is found on tomshardware.
However, whilst my original card came with an older BIOS than this, my new card came with a newer version. (These will be shown below)
Whilst my cards have both been working fine, I have noticed that my PCB V1.2 card has a strange "voltage lock". Every piece of monitoring software I have tried to use says the voltage is always 1.2, or 0.950 based on load levels. These are the values that are inside the X77 BIOS when inspected with VBE. However, in MSI afterburner, the voltage is displayed as a different value. After having checked allow voltage control and monitoring in MSI AB. My voltage is not shown as a number, but rather a + and - modifier, much like PowerTune is. This modifier does work, after having played around, I have figured out that each integer in this modifier is in fact a single mV (or around that). MSI AB then displays my new card's voltage as a varying number, whereas my old card is shown as a flat line. As shown here
I have no idea where MSI AB is getting this "pseudo-voltage" value from, since both HWiNFO and GPU-Z both report that it is always 1.2v when under any load. However, it worth noting that this value, whilst I do not believe it is the typical VDDC value, does in fact have some impact on the card's voltage, as I have tried running benchmarks with this card, and with a lower voltage according to MSI AB the card does indeed run cooler.
I have also noted that HWiNFO does in fact, show that the new card is missing a whole load of sensors, labelled as "ChiL/IR PMBus" as seen here. I can only assume that this particular sensor module was removed from later PCB's, or that this card is faulty?
Please note. I have only experienced unlocked voltage control on both my old and new card whilst using the X77 BIOS.
If I use the BIOS that comes with the card, which for my old one is:
And for my new one is this:
Then I am unable to modify either the "pseudo-voltage" found on card 1, or the voltage found on card 2, regardless of MSI AB options.
The reason I am still running the X77 BIOS is that I want the ability to modify voltage, as it very important to me.
My S/N's are
PCB V1.0 card: 602-V277-19SB1309097475
PCB V1.2 (BF4) card: 602-V277-28SB1311072756
The PCB revision numbers (1.0 and 1.2) I have gotten from the bottom of the PCB, right next to the PCI Express connector. However I have not inspected the PCB to actually confirm they are different, and this maybe just be an identifier.

Hey there, the 330 BIOS is the exact same as the one my second card came with when I purchased it (same MD5 hash), I have flashed the 302 BIOS to my old card and switched my BIOS on the second card back to stock and now I cannot change voltages in afterburner. Are these cards by any chance voltage locked by design and the X77 BIOS enables voltage changes?
Since I need the ability to change my cards voltage I have since switched back to the X77 BIOS until I can resolve this issue. Thank you.

Em, we don't have a second sight... You need to at least supply some info on your card namely S/N and a copy of your vbios saved to file (that you uploaded to some file hoster and added link here).

Don't bump your posts: >>Please read and comply with the Forum Rules.<<
I guess you mean ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS and not WD. That is a dual cpu socket XEON workstation board not meant for gaming (hardware). The NV282MS.352 vbios the vga uses is a current one. Contact Asus and report the compatibility issue and maybe they can help you with.
My use of my system is video editing.  It uses gpu heavily for encoding.  Hence, the hot GFX card I just purchased.  I have been in contact several times with Asus, since they also produce an N770 card, and they do not have any known compatibility issues with their own products, at least.  The card worked perfectly with this N770 card when it had the previous BIOS.  It was when I upped the BIOS to the latest version that I had the issue.  Other GFX cards do work.  The N770 wont finish POST.  100% fail.  I ended up purchaseing a new BIOS chip with the previous bios flashed, since they could not produce a procedure for me to downgrade.  However, I will not be able to use new CPUs with the later micro-codes until I find a way to update the BIOS.  Otherwise, I would be FD&H with the old one.
    Thanks for the reply,

  • REQUIRE One spool request for n copies in one print command in smartform

    Hii Friends,
I created a smartform..I require 5 copies of that form..There is a text which needs to be changed in evry copies...eg Original in first copy
                            Duplicate in second copy
Triplicate in third copy....n so on
So i used a loop n i am calling smartform 5 times....The problem is i need one spool request to be created..
Note: By default sometimes it create one spool request and sometimes 3 spool request...
    Pls share your inputs ............
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Sujit.

    hi,
this is more complicated see below description from help
    regards,darek
Printing Several Forms in One Print Request
    Use
You want to bundle several forms into one print job.
    Print Request vs. Spool Request
SAP Smart Forms allows you to bundle several forms to form one output unit. This output unit is called a print request. A print request is different from a spool request:
Whether a new spool job is created in the spool depends on the settings in the spool dialog.
Whether a new print request starts depends on the standard parameters of the generated function module you set in SAP Smart Forms. For each print request, the spool dialog is called only once. If you suppress the dialog, you can pass parameters for spool processing only at the beginning of the print request.
This means that a print request gathers several forms before submitting them to spool processing. Thus they cannot be spread over several spool requests. Vice versa however, you can include several print requests into one spool request.
    Procedure
Use function module SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME to retrieve the name of the function module generated from the Smart Form (see also: Integrating the Smart Form Into the Application).
Call the Smart Form for the first time and set the NO_CLOSE parameter of the control structure. This prevents the print request from being closed after accepting the output of the Smart Form and allows you to include all other form output into this print request as well. Leave the NO_OPEN parameter empty.
Instead of calling the Smart Form for the first time you can also call function module SSF_OPEN .
If you want to start a new spool request for the print request, set the TDNEWID field of the Output Options in this first call.
For all other form output of the application program that you want to include into the print request, use a loop to set both the NO_OPEN field and the NO_CLOSE field of the control structure.
To close the print request, in the call of the last Smart Form set the NO_OPEN parameter and unmark the NO_CLOSE parameter.
Instead of calling the Smart Form for the last time, you can also call function module SSF_CLOSE .
    Result
The forms you called in the steps described above are included into one print request. If in the first step you started a new spool request, you can now view its status in the spool request overview (transaction SP01 ).

  • HELP: Customizing ESS Leave Request for multiple entries in one submission

    Hi experts,
I appreciate help on this urgent problem. We're on ECC6 with EP7. My customization requirements are below:
    1) Allow multiple leave entries to be submitted at one go. Standard ESS only allows one date range entry per submission. We've customized the Webdynpro Leave request form to allow multiple entries in table form.
    Assuming there's 3 requests:
    R1 ~ 01-Oct-2007
    R2 ~ 03-Oct-2007
    R3 ~ 05-Oct-2007
Whenever user clicks 'New Entry' button, Webdynpro will call bapi PT_ARQ_REQUEST_PREPARE to generate a new request ID.
When user clicks on 'Review' button, I will loop at the requests internal table and check each of the entries, which is an individual request, via BAPI PT_ARQ_REQUEST_CHECK. Am I doing correctly so far?
The checks return no error. Next comes the problem. When I click the 'Send' button, I will loop at the request IDs (in ascending order) into BAPI PT_ARQ_REQUEST_EXECUTE. I will get a dump, saying that the object cannot be found. Debugging shows that it cannot find the first request ID (R1) in the memory. I found that if I sort the request IDs in descending order, it will be able to find the last request (R3) and could process it. However, when it comes to the 2nd last request (R2), it will give me the same dump saying that object can't not found. Both R1 and R2 cannot be found whereas only R3 can be found.
In overview, the logic we adopted is like this:
    1) PT_ARQ_REQUEST_PREPARE-CREATE (R1)
    2) PT_ARQ_REQUEST_CHECK (R1) upon clicking 'New Entry' Button
    3) PT_ARQ_REQUEST_PREPARE-CREATE (R2)
    4) PT_ARQ_REQUEST_CHECK (R2) upon clicking 'New Entry' Button
    5) PT_ARQ_REQUEST_PREPARE-CREATE (R3)
    6) PT_ARQ_REQUEST_CHECK (R1, R2, R3) upon clicking 'Review' Button
    7) Loop PT_ARQ_REQUEST_EXECUTE ( R3 - Returns OK, R2 - Returns object not found and terminates, R1 - not processed because execution terminated by R2).
Can anyone please advise me how I should go about changing the BAPIs? Or are the CLASSes/BADIs to be changed?
<b>Points will be rewarded for helping with this urgent requirement.</b> Thank you.
    Regards,
    Damien

    Hi Kiran,
Thanks for replying. My guess initially was also that the requests are overwritten.
I heard of another company's implementation who did the same concept and was able to do it. Unfortunately, I'm unable to get any information from them.
Initially, my frontend programmer and I thought of adopting the 'dummy checks' methodology. i.e. Do dummy checks when clicking 'New entry' or 'Review' button. This is to ensure that the entries were entered correctly at front end. Only when the user clicks on the 'Send' button, my BAPIs take in a table of request entries and perform the Request_Prepare&Request_Check&Request_Execute one at a time.
This may be expensive as there will be double the processing needed. One set for dummy checks and one set for the actual backend processing.
Is there any way that I can create multiple requests in 'transcient' state so that it won't be overwritten and I can still find it when I call the BAPI PT_ARQ_PREPARE_EXECUTE? PT_ARQ_PREPARE_EXECUTE only takes in request IDs instead of request structures.
Thanks again, Kiran, for replying. Have a good weekend.
    Regards,
    Damien

Hello, could someone please provide an original BIOS for G580 Model 2189 x64 Windows 7? Thank you!

Not to difficult to find... Why the "original" BIOS request?  Usually not a good idea to backstep BIOS unless directed to by support professionals.  Also, BIOS updates are independant of Windows Versions, the installer or "flashing": program used to install the BIOS file is sometimes Windows version dependant.
Either way - check this page for BIOS files:  http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/lenovo-g580-no...

I figured it was the graphics card my BIOS was having trouble with, must be something else...!
