  • UEFI/GOP VBIOS for N670 TF 2GD5

Hi, I´d like to get a UEFI/GOP BIOS for my graphics card:
    Model: N670 TF 2GD5
    S/N: 602-V284-06SB1210120427
    BIOS: 80.04.31.00.43 (Link: **https://www.dropbox.com/s/n2wlcxg7btifhas/GK104.rom**)
    Thanks

If I enable the Windows 8 Feature in my BIOS, the Internal GOP Configuration still says:
    Unknown Device
    Unknown Driver
I have flashed your new BIOS on my GTX670. Also the bios version changed from 80.04.31.00.43 to 80.04.4B.00.EC.
But if I try to start the PC with "Windows 8 Feature" enabled it automatically boots into BIOS.
Edit: OK after some trouble, it seems to work fine now

  • [Request] UEFI GOP VBIOS for MSI R7850-2GD5/OC

    Use the attached.
Create a bootable usb stick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0).
Then unpack the previously provided archive (1F0.rar) and put the included file (TV273MH.1F0) on that stick.
Rename TV273MH.1F0 to 1F0.rom. Put the atiflash.exe also included in the archive on the USB stick too. Now boot from the stick.
Type atiflash -p -f -noaper 0 1F0.rom [ENTER] and let it flash the vbios.

    Thank you so much!

I didn't reinstall Windows 8.1, but it was installed onto a brand new SSD (specs of my whole rig as below) with GPT partitioning theme.  Windows installer created several partitions along the way.
I think the ultra fast boot does shorten the time a bit.  I haven't timed the "fast" boot yet, but the "ultra fast" was 11 seconds from pushing power button (completely cold start) to log on screen (I disabled the lock screen).  May not be the fastest time, but ok enough for me.
However, I noticed another anomaly: sometimes when cold booting, the monitor will show something like "Your VBIOS does not support UEFI GOP and CSM disabled. Press F1 to continue to boot in fast mode; press F2/del to enter UEFI setup."  This does not happen all the time, but fairly consistent if the computer has been completely switched off for a while.  Any thoughts?
Here is the detailed hardware specs of my computer: (running Windows 8.1 Pro x64, clean install)
    ASROCK Z87E-ITX UEFI version 2.30
    Xeon 1245v3 @ 3.4 GHz
Zalman CNPS 8900 Quiet CPU cooler
    MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC
    ADATA XPG 1.0 DDR3-1600 9-9-9-24 2x8GB
Samsung 840 Pro SSD: Windows boot drive, GPT partitioned, the whole drive is partitioned (with 3 small extra partitions created by Windows 8.1 installer)
Seagate SSHD 2GB as data drive: also GPT partitioned.
    LG 14X BD-R
    Seasonic Platinum 520W Fanless PSU
Cooler Master Elite 130 mITX chassis
    Thanks!

Currently running the skyn3t vBios rev 4 on this card, assume there is no way to add UEFI GOP to that?

There is no gop vbios for your card (yet). Somehow none had been released for that batch. Contact MSi about it: >>How to contact MSI.<<
Also you can't add gop support to that mod bvbios.

    BIOS Version: 80.04.C4.00.30 (P2004-0010)

    Use >>this<<
Decompress the provided .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Then flash the included file with Nvflash for dos: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvflash_download.html
To do so rename the included file to .rom and create a dos bootstick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0)
Put nvflash and the vbios file on it and boot from the stick. Then type nvflash -4 -5 -6 gop.rom (if renamed vbios that way) and hit enter. Confirm the questions and let the tool flash.
