BIP Report Server URL

The default URL for the report server ( http://10.146.91.165:9704/xmlpserver ) returns an error message. I am accessing from Word and everything else works and appears to be running. Would someone please check the June 2009 BIC2G Windows Image and confirm the correct URL?
Thanks

First question is did you configure one?
If not, you need to configure it first
This will give you some insight into that

  • Report Server URL field no longer visible in Dashboard Designer after applying SP1 and the October 2011 CU

    Environment: 1 WFE on W2K8Ent x64 SP2 | 1 App Server on W2K8 Standard x64 SP2 | 1 Dedicated SQL Server 2008 R2
    SharePoint 2010 Enterprise Edition
I recently applied SP1 and the October 2011 CU (Server updates, not foundation) on both the WFE and the App server and now I'm experiencing an issue with PerformancePoint Dashboard Designer in that when I want to deploy a new SSRS report, I no longer have
the ability to indicate the report server url under the report settings section because it's missing.  I also do not have the ability to preview the report nor can I modify any of the settings like Zoom or Format as they're greyed out.
I've been researching for several days now and cannot find anything to remedy my issue. I have reviewed the upgrade logs on both the WFE and App server ... I ran the product config wizard after applying the SP and the update ... Sharepoint is configured
to use Windows Integrated Mode for the reporting services configuration via Central Admin.
I noticed that the web config for my app was updated and compared that against a backup of the old web config and I mainly see diffs in version references for reporting services, etc.  (Ex. version 10 in the old, 11 in the new/updated config file).
Anyone else out there have this same issue?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Chad

Ultimately, I ended up installing SharePoint 2010 RTM on a separate system and then copied the folder with the PerformancePoint Dashboard Designer and put that on my PC at work.  If you open a PerformancePoint report inside SharePoint, it
will default to the version of the update so be sure to open up the designer from wherever you store it on your PC.  You'll know if it's the right one anyways if the URL is missing.
Also, once you've opened the RTM version, this will be the one that opens from the SharePoint shortcut via the Windows Start->All Programs->SharePoint Folder.

  • Error in Accessing the Report Server URL

    Hi All,
I am trying to access the Report Server URL in PowerPivot. But facing below issue .Can any one help me how can I solve the issue
    Thanks,
    Sid

    Hi Visakh,
Yes,The user is holding the permission as "Global User" in sql.Hope you help me in solve this issue
Thanks, Quality Communication Provides Quality Work. http://siddiq-sharepoint2010.blogspot.in/ Siddiqali Mohammad .
    Hi siddiqali,
According to the screenshot you posted above, the use account didn't have sufficient permission to open the report, please check the following prerequisites before you perform the action:
You must use a report definition (.rdl) file as a data source. Importing from a report model is not supported.
You must have permission to open the report under your Windows user account, and you must know the address of the report or the report server that hosts it. You can check your permissions by trying to open the report in a Web browser first.
If the report opens, it confirms that you have sufficient permissions and the correct URL.
Reporting Services must be version SQL Server 2008 R2 or SQL Server 2012. Those versions include the data feed export feature that streams report data in the XML data feed format. You can identify the report server by the Export as Data Feed option
that appears in the report toolbar when you open the report in browser:
    For detail information, please see:

Take a look at data templates. You can use the "BeforeReportTrigger" option using a PL/Sql function to accomplish this. Look at the Report Designers guide for information about datatemplates.

  • Report Server URL page can't be displayed.

So we attempted to upgrade sql 2012 to sql 2014 for SCCM. Upon doing so this broke reporting services.  My dbadmin reverted back to sql 2012 and now we cant get reporting services at all to work.  The issue started when he went to upgrade sql and
it had an error on the reporting services part because of some ssl cert which I don't think we use since the service urls are all http.  I could never get the https to work the first time.
I am doing all of the below on the sql server itself.
in the reporting services configuration manager web service url section when you click on the report server web service url it goes to a page cant be displayed.  If you go to the report manager url section and click on the report manager site identification
url it does take you to a webpage but says unable to connect to the remote server.
    Any one have any ideas?

What you might do is look at the URL reservations.  In order to view what is bound to http.sys you will need to open a command prompt on the server use the following command to view records:
    netsh http show urlacl
If someone isn't correct, you can remove it using the following command, as an
    example:
    netsh http delete urlacl URL=https://servername:443/reportserver
URLs also get written to the rsreportserver.config file.  So you may need to remove entries there.
I have had to do this for failed SSRS bindings.  When making changes using netsh, do so with extreme care.  In theory, removing all your bindings using reporting services configuration manager and re-adding them is supposed to do this for you,
but i've found out that isn't always the case.  You could always try that first.  It should be noted that in order to complete this step successfully, the report manager URL should be removed first (through the advanced button), then the web service
URL.  When adding it back, the order is reversed, with the web service URL being added first and the report manager URL being added second.

  • Adding a second report server/url

Hello!  I am somewhat confused by what I have read in these questions and need some help on how to do this.  I am using SQL Server 2008 R2 and we have set up Reporting Services on it.  I created the reportserver database and have a url pointing
to it to access some reports.  However, we would like to set up another url pointing to a different set of reports.  Can someone please explain on how to do that?  Can you use the same reportserver database?  Do you just change the target
serverurl somehow to point to a different url?  Most of the topics I have found tell me how to set up the initial url.  I have done that and it works fine.  Thanks for any help with this topic.

    Hey,
each instance of report server held it's own database and it's own "URL" - Report manager. Having different URL means having multiple different instance.
Each server can have one default instance, others must be named.
Within one instance, trough Report manager, you can set multiple different user privileges to access only specific reports.

  • Setting an Alias for a report server URL

Can anyone guide me to on how to set a reporting server alias?
I have links to a set of reports that are accessed via a Sharepoint server site.  I want those links to point to the server alias, and not the fully qualified URL of the report.
    Thanks
    K

Take a look at this thread...
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/476c0851-d424-46a5-9598-21c6afd41e78/ssrs-2012-with-no-virtual-folder?forum=sqlreportingservices#7473994e-95f2-446b-9919-ed4631ef22b4
You can create a DNS CNAME, but if you have SSL that will throw a loop in things...  Otherwise see the last post in the thread linked above.

  • Security on report server URL for SSRS

I have a report which takes DEPARTMENT_ID as parameter. Users can only see report of their own department but problem is anyone can access the below URL and view other department's report.
    http://<server>/Reports
    OR
    http://<server>/ReportServer?/<FolderName>/Report&DEPARTMENT_ID=5
Is there a way to make these URLs secure so only authorized users can access it? Or this option is not available in SSRS and I have to block access through firewall or something? Like disallowing access to this URL from all IPs and only allow my web server
IP to access it and then I make a page in ASP.Net in which I show this report using Report Viewer?

    Hi,
For this issue I'll suggest you to add one Unique Id in URL lets say id = "ykljlkl340kjkl".
    For this you have to follow below steps;
    1. In BIDS create one Report Parameter Name as ID with visibity = Hidden
    2. Tablix Properties -> Visibity ->  show Hide based on Expression -> iff(Parameter!ID.value="ykljlkl340kjkl",False,True)
    3. In Application ReportViewer Control will be only accessible if Id ="ykljlkl340kjkl" .
    Thanks

  • BIP Report access via URL in OBIEE

Experts, I want to access a BIP report via URL in OBIEE. Here are the details. I already have Answers request with 'Is Prompted' filters. I have a dashboard prompt. The request works according to the values given in the prompt. Say, the user gives some filter conditions in the prompt and the result returns 10 records. Now, due to some business requirements, I want the same result set(10 records) to be opened in a new window. For that we thought of using BIP and invoking this BIP report from OBIEE. Any ideas how can we accomplish this.
    thx,
    parag

I mean to say that....assume your first view might be pivot report, then you create a BIP report from answers and place the view just below the pivot view in the dashboard.
Globally you give those prompts ,so that when you give values....it applies to both the views in the dashboard.
Suggest the end user instead of pop up....you can view both views at a single instance :) .......Give a meaning full name for that BIP report according to what you want to achieve
    =====================================================================
    EDITED:
you can use go url for your pop-up .....but you need to pass the variable values of the prompt to the go-url so you can achieve your requirement.
let the end user pass dynamically any values multiple times but the same should be passed to the go-url to get what you want.
    ========================================================================
    EDITED
I suppose YES we need to pass all the 5 prompt values to BIP report......if user gives 3 values then it filters on those 3 values and only 3 will be passed to BIP i suppose.
Never tried this passing 3 values and next session passing 2 values.....Play around with your requirement you will achieve it.
hope all questions are answered.Mark Points.

  • Prompting for UserName and Password when I click Report Server Web Service URLs in ssrs 2008 R2

    Hi All,
I am using SQL Server Reporting services 2008 R2 . When I tried to open report server webservice URL in SSRS 2008 R2 It is prompting username and password. I tried to resolve the issue by deleting the <!--
<RSWindowsNegotiate/> --> line in rsreportserver.config but still I am getting the same prompt
and i tried by putting the server URL in trusted sites in IE also still no luck. I referred the below link 'http://blogs.msdn.com/b/lukaszp/archive/2008/03/26/solving-the-reporting-services-login-issue-in-the-february-ctp-of-sql-server-2008.aspx'
I am getting the same error.
Can anyone help me out to resolve this issue easily.
    Thanks
    Dathy

    Hi Dathy,
Generally, this is a very common issue in Reporting Services 2008 R2, the blog you post is a good blog that summary the common solutions. If it doesn’t help, could you please try the following:
Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools and click on Internet Options.
Under the Security tab, click on Trusted sites and click the Sites button and Add Report Manager/Report Server URL to the trusted sites.
Then click Custom Level, and check the option Automatic logon with current user name and password.
Repeat step 3 and step 4 for Local Intranet.
    Hope this helps.

  • SQL 2012 R2 - SSRS with the Report Server Web Service URL, can't access

    Hello:
I am installing Dynamics CRM 2013.  When I am on RS Configuration manager; I am running into the SSRS (SQL 2012 on Server 2012)SQL issue, can't access the
    http://servername/:80/ReportsServer or
    http://servername/:Reports web pages
The database server has SSRS native mode installed, it is using a domain account for the service credentials.  This account also has permission to log on a service in the GPO
Account is a domain admin and is a local administrator
SQL server is 2012 R2 on Windows Server 2012.  User base is less than 60 people and they have SharePoint 13 on the same SQL server.  Server more than enough resources.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.
    Thanks..Dan

    Hi DCas1,
According to your description, you could not access
http://servername/:80/ReportsServer or http://servername/:Reports web pages from Reporting Services configuration manager, SSRS in configured in native mode and the account you used is a local administrator.
In Reporting Services, URLs are used to access the Report Server Web service and Report Manager. Before we can use either application, we need to configure at least one URL each for the Web service and Report Manager. If we are using the Reporting Services
Configuration tool to create or modify the URLs, we can accept the default values for a URL or specify custom values. When we create a report server URL, we must specify the following parts: Host name, port and Virtual directory. In order to improve the efficiency
of troubleshooting, I need to ask several questions:
Since the default URL is http://<computername>/reportserver, did you type the URLs manually? or the URLs configured in Reporting Services configuration manager are
    http://servername/:80/ReportServer and
    http://servername/:Reports?
Could you provide detailed information of error log(default location: %programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles)?
For more information about Configuring a URL, please refer to the following documents:

  • Error Message: The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version. The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.

I have a web page that contains a ReportViewer control.  I am trying to display a report, which is an .rdl file located on the SSRS server, in this ReportViewer control.  I have set the ReportPath and ReportServerUrl correctly.  I am
    getting an error message.
Am I suppose to use an .rdlc file rather than a .rdl file?  Does the web server configuration need to use a certain account?
I am getting the following error message:
The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version.
The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.

    Hi bucaroov,
The error "The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found." means the ReportServerURL configured in the ReportViewer control is invalid.
Please follow these steps to solve the issue:
    Logon the Report Server machine.
Open the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
Copy the Report Server URL from 'Web Services URL'.
Logon the application server(in this case, it is the server that host the web page), check if we can use the URL we got from step 3 to access the Report Server. If so, please replace the ReportServerURL in the ReportViewer control with this URL. If it is
not available, could you please post the error message.
Additionaly, we don't need to provide the extension for a server report. The ReportPath should be like: /<reports folder>/<report name>
