Birthday calendar in notification centre alerts

Hi there
For some reason, all my birthday calendar entries have changed their alerts which means that in notification centre, instead of the birthday alert appearing the week before, the alert now only shows on the same day.
I generally like to have a weeks notice, so is there any way of changing them all to alerting 1 week before?
Cheers

Same problem here.
I wanna have a look into my 5 upcoming appointments!

  • Is there a way to exclude specific calendars from Notifications and alerts?

I have 4 calendars:  1 Exchange and 1 Yahoo that includes 2 shared calendars (wife and MIL).  I activate the Yahoo calendars only when I need them and do not need any yahoo reminders at all.  When I swipe down the Notifications page, it includes all four calendars including the shared Yahoo calendars. What's worse, I get alerts from all four calendars.
I only want Exchange alerts and notifications. Is there a way to exclude the Yahoo calendars from Notifications and alerts?
Right now, the only way I can eliminate them is by deactivating the Yahoo account in Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Is there a way to only choose specific contacts from an existing group and add to a new group?
I mean there has be a faster way than typing everybody by hand..

  • All-Day Events and Birthdays not in notification centre in iOS 7...

    Hello!
    I am using iPhone 4S, iOS 7.0.4.
All-Day Events and Birthdays are not showing up in the "Today" tab in the notification centre. I have read some articles and majority has the same problem but there are some people who have birthdays showing under date and above weather in "Today" tab in notification centre.
I want them in the same place too! I hope this is possible. I am really upset because of this.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards..
    Thanks!!!

I want my events and birthdays there... please help me...

  • All day calendar events not being displayed in the notification centre for iphone 5 post ios 7 upgrade. Please help. Is it a bug?

All day calendar events not being displayed in the notification centre for iphone 5 post ios 7 upgrade. Please help. Is it a bug?
With iOS 6, the all day events showed up in the notification centre but it lacks in the upgrade iOS 7.

Same problem here. Some people pointed out that all-day events do show up in their notification center, but that seems only to be the case for birthdays (and only as text like the weather). I've tried it myself on my iPhone and iPad and it did work for birthdays but not for any other all-day events. I already sent this to Apple as a product feedback as well, as should everyone of you. The more people mention it, the faster Apple's going to fix this issue. In its current state, notification center is not a very helpful feature in my opinion. There's absolutely no point in not showing all-day events in the 'today' calendar overview.
Here's a link to the product feedback page: http://www.apple.com/feedback/
I posted my message in the iPhone section since I couldn't find a page specifically dedicated to iOS 7.
I really love the look & feel of iOS 7 but it's kinda sad to see notification center not tapping its full potential.
    Cheers!

  • Calendar events not showing in notification centre

Was hoping there was someone out there that may have experienced the same problem, and has a solution.
I have noticed this morning that after upgrading to OS X Yosemite, I do not have my calendar events showing in notification centre. I cannot be sure that this is a result of upgrading to Yosemite.
Problem #1: In the today tab on notifications, an event did not show up for today, in both notification centre on my Mac, and on my iPhone. This seems to have been solved by changing the event from an all day event, to set hours. Is there a way that all-day events can be shown in notification centre?
Problem #2: In the today tab on notifications, down the very bottom, my Mac says there are no scheduled events for tomorrow. On the same tab on my iPhone, it says "there are 2 all-day events scheduled". Similarly, the event is listed in the notifications tab (not the today tab), in notifications centre on my phone, until you press on the event and it flicks you through to your calendar. Is anyone aware of why these events would not be showing up on my mac's notification centre?? I am assuming it has nothing to do with changing it from an all-day event, because it shows up on one device, but not another.
Calendar is switched on for notification centre on iPhone and mac.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I found when I created an event, I needed to add an alert to it. Then it started showing up.

  • Birthday calendar notifications?

I've got several contacts' birthdays input, so my question is this:
Will I receive a notification, like I do with other manually input events, when one of those dates arrives? Or is it just a passive note marked on the calendar?
I ask because when entering a separate event, you get the option to set an alert but with the contact b-days no option exists...
I guess I may have to delete all contact b-days and enter all manually as events on the calendar itself if no alert exists???

I just noticed this problem on my phone. Every one of my birthdays is multiplied about 30 times. It doesn't have a calendar icon next to the event so not part of any one calendar. Says it's part of my gmail calendar but if I hide that it still shows. Only if I hide my iCloud calendars as well do they disappear. Clicking on them doesn't give any edit options. Also says a contact has been invited and when I hit that it shows a huge email address with random numbers and letters @virtual.com - spam? I dunno. What's going on here!?

  • Notification centre only shows calendar

I am having trouble with the notification centre in OS X Mountain Lion. It is showing me notifications for my calendar events, but that is all. I have gone into "system preferences > notifications > [app name] > show in notification cantre: # recent items" and yet all that appears are the calendar items. I have done this with native OS X apps and 3rd party apps as well, neither will appear. I do receive the alerts that I request, but they do not store themselves in the notification centre.
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Thank You

Try deselecting the Show in Notification Center box and then selecting it again.

  • Twitter Alerts Not Updating in Notification Centre On My iPhone

Hi, I am hoping someone will be able to help me.
I have an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4. Both devices are running on the most recent iOS software and both have the notification centres and apps within the notification centre set up the same way. But all of a sudden I have stopped receiving twitter notifications on my iPhone. My account is fine and I can send tweets from the phone (tweeting from the gallery and tweeting from safari etc).
The notifications come through on my iPad as normal but the iPhone is displaying twitter notifications from 5 days ago but nothing recent despite having been sent many today alone. When I get a tweet sent to me, it alerts me on the iPad but not on the phone at all. Last week, it was notifying me on my iPhone the same way as my iPad. I get all other notifications on my iPhone and iPad as normal, Facebook, eBay, iMessage and email. All of those are set up in the same way on both devices and notifications come in at pretty much the exact same time, as usual.
Twitter has just stopped on one device.
Going in to the Notification settings on the phone you can see it set up the same way as my iPad. I have deleted my account from my phone numerous times, hoping that when I re-enter my account details it will right itself but to no avail.
I haven't done anything, it just stopped. The only way of knowing I have even have twitter messages or notifications when I am away from my iPad is because I get an email alert.
Is anyone having the same issue? Has anyone heard of this problem? Has something turned off on my phone that I am overlooking? Can anyone offer any advice on how to correct this problem?
    Many thanks!

I am bumping this because now they have completely stopped now on both devices.
I've have had multiple people tweet me today and yesterday and not a single notification is appearing on either device.
Again both devices are iOS5.0.1 both devices are logged in correctly to twitter. I can send tweets from iOS5's interface (gallery, safari etc) with no issues on both devices. But I am yet to receive a tweet notification on my iPhone (last notification is well over 10 days old) and now my iPad 2 (last notification is over 2 days old).
Neither device has had the twitter app in the notification centre messed with or turned off. Both are on signed in and sound is on, banners are on, "show in notification centre" is on as is "show in lock screen".
    Please help!

  • Duplicate Birthday calendar entries in Notification Center

I have many contacts' birthdays saved with their contact info.  This created two calendars: one "Birthdays" calendar in iCal on my Mac, and one "Birthdays" calendar in my iPhone's Calendar app.  I want to keep each of these in their respective places.
    Here's my problem:
Both show up in Notification Center.  For example, my friend Bryan's birthday is tomorrow, and it shows twice in the Notification center (once, pulled from the iOS Calendar; the other, synced from iCal).
I've disabled the imported calendar from displaying in the Calendar app (so I only see iOS's "native" entry listed on my calendar).  But it still shows both in Notification Center!  Any ideas how I can get rid of the duplicate NC entry, without deleting the calendar itself from either source?

  • Birthday calendar alerts ?

I wonder if I'm the only iCal user in this world who tends to forget birthdays. At least I seem to be the only one who keeps asking Apple for adding an alert feature to Birthday Calendars. For what other reason would they not care about this feature request?
Anyway, without alerts, iCal is the perfect tool for forgetting birthdays - which may have serious consequences, both in your private and in your professional life. You DID note your girlfriend's or your CEO's birthday, so you rely on iCal and on your looking at iCal in time. Then you do so - and there you are, buying apology cards because you've missed that birthday.
I have already tried a Birthday Widget, but it was just as crappy as it looked: It didn't update its "2 days left until Valentina's birthday" message - and of course, I missed her birthday, too.
Isn't there a decent little utility, workaround, crack or hack to get me birthday alerts? (...without messing around in Address Book, doing scripts to iport whole new calendars etc.)
Or can I hack into that birthday calendar to make it read-and-write & assign alerts manually?
Thanks a lot for a hint!
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
The script checks for the calendar, then checks for the birthdays already entered. New birthdays are added when the script is run. The calendar is not deleted.
You would need to run the script when you want the birthdays added to iCal.
I agree that Apple should have added alarms to their birthday calendar - but they haven't. Not a very "Macintosh way" in my opinion, but no-one is perfect

  • IOS5 - Erratic Notification centre behaviour on iPad 1 when displaying calendar entries

Anyone else having an issue when enabling Calendar events to be displayed in the notification centre - where the notification centre scrolls up and down, adding and deleting entries constantly? (as if it's in a loop from ****)

Seemed to have solved the problem ...
If you do see this happen - you'll notice a calendar entry that it keeps adding / deleting... go delete the offending entry from your calendar. Problem then goes away ...

  • Notification centre doesn't show upcoming calendar events!!!

After upgrading my iPad to iOS 6 my calendar events don't get updated in notification centre. I've set my calendar to show 25 events, now it only shows three even though I have other events coming up tomorrow (all within 24h). For events to show I have to restart the iPad which I find very annoying!!
Anyone else experiencing the same problem?
    HELP!

I am having the same exact problem on my iphone 4, only in my case the problem just started a few days ago (it doesn't seem to be related to ios 6).  This is the first ASC discussion board I have found specifically dedicated to the topic.  Any other posts have just been in passing.  It seems either only a handful of people are having this problem or are actually noticing it.  I am planning to go to my local Apple Store tomorrow to see if I can get any suggestions, but my fear is that they aren't aware enough of the problem to really have a solution.

  • Calendar subscriptions not showing up in mountain lion notification centre

Has anyone else had this problem when your calendar subscriptions are not showing up on the notification centre. Everything seems to be turned on in the preferences but I'm not seeing any of my calendar subscriptions entrys showing up in the notification centre.
    Please Help.

I had the same problem with my calendar subscriptions and notifications disappearing after upgrading to Mountain Lion (or maybe user error around that same time). Here's how I  resolved the issue:
In Calendar application, click "File", and select "New Calendar Subscription". Paste your calendar feed address into the "Calendar URL" box. In my case, I was re-adding my TripIt calendar feed which looked something like this:
    webcal://www.tripit.com/feed/ical/private/ABCDEFGabcdefg/tripit.ics
