Bit torrent not working

I recently upgraded my iMac to mountain lion, and my bit torrent stopped working.  Why is that?

Which bit torrent client and have you verified it has a Mountain Lion compatible version?
Java client?

  • Why can I not import pictures any more? Lightroom says "Your Lightroom 5 64-bit does not work correctly"

Why can I not import pictures any more?
Lightroom says "Your Lightroom 5 64-bit does not work correctly"
    Technical informations:
    PC with Windows 7 64-bit, Lightroom 5.7.1 64-bit installed.
    What I have done:
I downloaded the newest LR 5.71 and installed it again - mode repair; without success
I checked my PC with Norton 360: full scanning and optimizing registry
I restarted the PC and than I installed the LR 5.7 again - repair
    Trouble 1:
Two days ago I could work with my LR 5 and to import pictures from a SD was no problem. Now I can start LR 5 and I can watch/modify pictures, but as soon as I try to import new pictures LR 5 stops and gives the message "your LR 5 64-bit does not work correctly - searching for solution". I have not changed anything in my computer since lasttime LR 5 worked properly, only the registry was optimized by Norton 360.
    Trouble 2:
I live in Switzerland and my language ist German. I dit not find a place where I can present my problem in German, e.g. a phone number oder email-address oder german-chat. My English is to week for a discussion for computer problems and do understand it.
    Help:
I would very appreciate if anybody can help me, either to trouble 1 or to trouble 2. Thanks.

  • Vista PDF Preview handler installed on Win 7 32 bit does not work.

There is no discoverable information regarding failure to preview Adobe PDF files on Win 7 32 bit. The advice for 64 bit does not work. Adobe continues to install the Vista preview handler on my Windows 7 computer, which I suspect is the issue. Is there any way to find and install the Windows 7 32 bit handler or is there a registry hack that permits 11 to access the vista version or what? This is a repeat post, as I cannot locate the first and assume that there have been no responses, as I  have received no alerts.
If you have an answer I will name my first born for you. He is 41 and object loudly, but no price to great.....

I have fifteen minutes to mark this as a question, despite the fact that no question link or icon exists. Adobe?

Lightroom 5.6 would not open. I only get a flash picture then I get an error message. See below message: [Window Title] Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit [Main Instruction] Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit does not work more [Content] there was a problem making the program no longer work properly. The program is closed and there is a notification if a solution is available.

I may have just solved my own problem. Right after posting this I googled bezel lightroom and found this: Flickr: Discussing The word 'bezel' appears in the taskbar. in Adobe Lightroom
I changed the setting in the view menu and now everything appears to be working fine. I cannot explain why it stopped working before because I hadn't made any previous changes to the view options.
Still am curious about the memory usage, though.

  • Bit Rate Not Working

I'm setting my bit rate differently and it is not affecting the size of the file. I'm setting the main bit rate (not Max), and I'm in an SD session setting the SD settings. Any ideas why it might not be making any difference on the file size. I've tried the lowest bit rate and the worst motion setting and it still makes no difference of the file size.

Your best bet is to encode video outside of DVD SP using Compressor or other encoder and not set it in DVD SP. Take a look at page 66, changing preferences will not reencode assets already bought it. YOu can delete the asset and PAR files, or better yet, duplicate the .MOV with a new name then use the newly named asset and place it in the track.
But using Compressor helps avoid having to jump through those hoops.

  • Torrents not Working?

    Hello,
It seems that after installing Snow Leopard, Vuze (formerly Azereus) has stopped functioning.I DO NOT USE TORRENTS FOR ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES, and I use the Vuze HD Network, which cannot download stuff anymore. Vuze also gives an error while opening torrent files. In fact, none of my torrent clients (Vuze, Transmission or Limewire) work at all. They add the files to the download list, but don't download, despite having decent seeds. Thus I concluded that there is some problem with the OS. Please Help.
    Regards,
    AJ

I was not aware of that, as I've never actually heard of Vuze. In that case, downloading via Vuze sounds like it would be safe. However, many other P2P programs, like Limewire, do not have such controls.
Limewire is a different thing altogether. Many files can be mislabelled and yes you are crazy to use limewire.
The protocols used in Bittorrent are not specific for Vuze they are for all torrent clients.
Downloading from a trusted source is not what P2P technology was designed to do. P2P file sharing is designed to allow downloading from any average Joe who has the file on his hard drive.
P2P was designed to allow any sharing of any files trusted or not. Bittorrent is a technology that is way more advanced than the early sharing protocols and has been adopted by many legit sources. I still think you have a misconception of the meaning of peer to peer. Other p2p apps became legit the most famous being napster.
The technology was never risky or illegal how users chose to use it was a different story.
Most torrent files come from a tracker website. So if you went to a site that specialises in Music from bands that release their material under the Creative Commons License. They would release their material with a torrent file. Users then comment on that release. You can be sure that this is safe and if something was bogus then the feedback against that release would be reflected in the user comments.
However, I would still stand by that statement except when you are using P2P software to download from a trusted source (which seems to be contrary to the design of P2P,
You are missing the point. P2P was designed to share data thats all. In the same way an email can send an attachment. That attachment could be an illegal copy of an mp3 or a legit word document with the latest company shareholders report. Are you saying email was mis designed ?
Most people who are using P2P software, though, probably don't understand the concept of a "trusted source.
I would wager that 99% of torrent users know exactly what they are doing you have to be a bit savvy in order to configure your network to run bittorrent in the first place. I also wager many people however dont understand the concept of a trusted source or how else it so many pc's get viruses, and many people get scammed via phishing websites.

  • Install demo of CS4 Web Premium-Photoshop Installs 64 bit and x86 versions but 64 bit does not work

Just installed the CS4 Web Premium demo onto a brand new 64 bit i7 processor with Windows Seven Home Premium machine with 9gb memory. The install seems to be fine except it installed a 64 bit version as well as x86 version into different folders. The x86 version works fine but the 64 bit version does not.
Every time I try to open a file using "Open With' I get the following message "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."
First of all why does it install both versions and why does it try to open everything in the 64bit version even after specifically telling it to open in the x86 version (even after setting the default file association to the x86 version.
I would of course like to use the 64 bit veriosn but if it not going to work. I'll use the 32 bit version. I just wantto be able to right click my mouse and be able to "Open With". I can open Photoshop 32 bit and open the file that way but it is a pain to do that way.
    Any help would be appreciated

Both are installed to allow you to use 32 bit plugins. As for the problem, you'll get far more attention in the Photoshop forum.

  • ITunes download using Firefox on Windows 7 64-bit does not work

I just got set up on a new Windows 7 machine (64-bit) at work.  I was trying to download the iTunes exe file to my machine and was initially using Firefox as my browser.  After multiple attempts to save the file were unsuccessful, I decided to try a different browser.
I popped over to Chrome and it downloaded with no problem.  I thought I would share in case anyone else runs into the same issue.

This has worked for some of us but not all. Go to control panel and uninstall itunes and icloud, restart pc, go to apple site and download itunes and icloud. Good luck.

  • 32 bit app not working

I had the photo browser app ACDSee running fine in Lion. I've upgraded to Mavericks and it no longer works. I click on the app in launchpad and it starts but disappears about a second later. I've gone to 'file info' and found there is no checkbox option to run it in 32 bit mode. System info says it can only run in 32 bit mode. Is there anywhere else in the system I can ensure it runs in 32 bit only?

Running the diagnostics at http://www.hp.com/go/tools may help resolve the issue.

  • 32-bit bridge not working in lion

OK, I know this is early days for me, given that I only upgraded to Lion today, but I've already come up against a significant problem relating to Logic ( 9.1.6 ) and the 32-bit AU bridge, which worked pefectly well for me in Snow Leopard. Sure, it crashed when the computer was idling: a well known issue. But it really did its job when actually required, whereas in Lion, it's simply ceased to work at all now, and I've reverted to 32 bit Logic, for the time being, which really defeats the whole object of even moving to Lion, despite the fact that I'm having to use some 32 bit plugins, etc.
I was working with Logic, 64-bit in SL and it was fine, and I enjoyed a marked improvement in memory performance. Right now, though, the whole experience is very disappointing. Before I level the blame at anyone/ anything , I just want to know if anyone else is experiencing,er, issues with Lion and the 32-bit bridge. When I first started Logic today, in Lion, it seemed fine. After a few hours, however, the bridge crashed and never recovered. Also, when launching Logic, the aunetreceive stage of the launch would hang around forever. That improved  (though still dwells on it for a long time ), but the 32-bit bridge has just stopped working.
Can anyone please shed any light on this? I really don't want to revert to SL now, though I backed everything up, so I could easily. I'm liking the look and feel of Lion and feel that Logic should be really sharp in this OS, but it's not feeling quite like that right now.
    Thanks for any advice.
OK, a big PS. I've just switched back to 64, and the bridge is now working. This doesn't instill confidence, frankly! Can I now ask if anyone is experiencing erratic performance/behaviour of the bridge?!

OK, so, I've had it with Lion. It's a great interface: I love it and I love the new functions, which should make the computer experience  so much more enjoyable. I'm totally behind this new interface. I'm sure, one day, it'll be wonderfully music-friendly, but, right now, it's ,as they say, PANTS.
Me? I'm going back to SL, in the warm and comfy knowledge that it'll work predictably, and greet me like an unconditionally affectionate puppy. Well, as predictable and affectionate as is possible in the world of 21st century operating systems.
Lion, however, reminds me of the bad old days of the first, tentative forays into OS X, after the idyllically safe and reliable world of OS 8/9.
I can see the motivation, here, of consolidating ios and OSX. In principle, I love that. For me, tablet OS is the future of interfaces. But as far as complex and diverse systems, such as music production, it ain't working right now....

  • 64-bit iTunes not working on Windows 7.  Apple needs to help!

I have reinstalled the 64-bit version of iTunes multiple times / ran the repair utility too, but to no avail!  I have followed the various suggestions on Apple.com and on the web but it isn't working.  It is not a 32-bit / 64-bit conflict on the Windows side.  Other applications are running without issue.
Apple support needs to provide some fix to this!

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

now nothing happens when I connect the iPod by USB - it's not even charging.
Do you have a laptop, Nin?
If so, the following document might be of some assistance with that:

(That issue seems to match your recognition and charging symptoms.)
