BIWS abnormal behavior

Hi Friends
Currently we are working on SAP BW 7.4,BO 4.1,Dashboards 4.1 environment
1)Bex query based BO Webi Report is designed and running fine with 4 blocks
2)4-Blocks based 4-BIWS are used to design Dashboard
3)When dashboard is previewed for 1st time any 1BIWS will return data but not other 3 and in 2nd refesh any 3-BIWS returns data but not 1-BIWS
Could any one suggest the probable reason behind this abnormal behavior

This was a bug and is fixed in BI 4.1 SP 5 Patch 3.After appying this patch follow the step in KBA as below

when approver click on approval task ,the claim action popup window displayed successfully
when approver claim the action and it completes and popup window persist there with blank display(Observed a chopping of front end url from identity.mycompany.com/identity/faces/...... to www.identity.com/faces/.........Then approver needs to close the popup).

But the thing is recently 3 months back i implemented this ESS part in one server it is working fine.I'am able to apply Leave,Claims,Loan,travel from EP and the approver is able to approve the requests from UWL.When clicking on the Request in UWL it is launching a webdynpro iview and i'am able to perform the actions.
Now i'am facing the problem and i hope i did the same config which i did previuosly.
What would be the reason any Patch levels?

"Save As..." with abnormal behavior (bug in setting correct path)

When opening a pages (or numbers) document by double clicking the document e.g. in list view in the Finder window, and then select "Save As...", the path (target directory) shown and used is the path where you last saved a document. The correct behavior would be, that the path (target directory) of the currently opened document is used.
Cause of this bug you often have to search your "saved as" documents and
really have a disruption in the workflow. As well if you remember to select
the correct path it is a disruption in the workflow.
So where is the correct place for this information for having a chance that developers get alerted and fix this major bug, cause "Save As..." is a very often used and important operation.

I spent my time writing this content, for helping us to improve the product, or in this case, help to recognize a mistake. Not i want to come to the fore, it is for us. I already explained the reasons, which can be understood by the nature of the matter itself.
E.g: Adobe Products as Photoshop, AI, ... are examples you are looking for. But the question for examples is not needed, cause the cognizance of the benefit is enough. If the majority is wrong, you will always be able to bring more wrong examples, so the cognizance is more important.
As Adobe has always been one of the great partners and e.g. Photoshop, Xpress, now InDesign lead to Apples customers from the beginning, the behavior of "Save As..." is well defined by these chief products that have been used since the beginning, but not as a dogma, instead the behavior has - as explained earlier - a very good reason.
So i am very thankful, that you explained that it is a consistent rule. I know about these consistencies, but did not know that this behavior is also defined as a consistent rule. As e.g. Adobe does not use this rule it seems that it is not one of the very strict rules, like where the "file" or "edit" menu has to be.
I hope i could repacify you, cause of my figure of speech using "All other applications". You did not tell me your thoughts about the real content and my explanation. Don´t you agree with my cognitions for us?

Abnormal behavior of Map inside orchestration

Hi Guys,
I have a sequential convoy orchestration where each XML message gets transformed to 837P.
In map I am using StringParam.Replace("-","").PadRight(9,'0') function inside scripting functoid to remove dashes from ZipCode.
The solution was working before I did some changes in the map (did not touch this part). Now my problem is that I get dash removed from the only first XML messages, all other subsequent messages' ZipCode gets mapped as is with dashes.
Can someone point me in the direction why my map is behaving abnormally?

To me it sounds like a loop problem, If this is applied on some segment is occurs multiple times. if you don't loop over that, it will only map first occurence of segment. If possible please post a snapshot of your map (relevant portion only)

[SSRS] Abnormal behavior for parameter usage in checking case within query of dataset

Following error is displayed when I preview a report (SUR_EXPLORER-NG.rdl) in Microsoft Visual Studio:
“An error occurred during local report processing.

According to your description, you want to do a dynamic query based on parameter select in your report dataset. Right?
In Reporting Services, if we use query to retrieve data when creating dataset, this query will only be processed one time during report processing. So we can't make it change to another query after we change the parameter selection. And we can't combine
the data from two query together in a dataset, because in a dataset, if multiple result sets are retrieved through a single query, only the first result set is processed, and all other result sets are ignored. For your requirement, it can't be achieved currently.
In this scenario, we suggest you add one more column, and put in "-1" in detail row. Then control the visibility to show either "-1" or report data.

Abnormal behavior of READ_TEXT for PO text in ME23N

I am facing the following issue in reading PO text from ME23N.
I am using function module READ_TEXT to read the text.
For the first time the function module is not reading the text.
If I edit the text and save, Then the function module is working.

Hi Pavan,
if you create PO via ME21N the System takes the text from Material (look in MM03).
The item itselve does not have an own text.
If you Change the text, this Text belongs only for this item, not to material in General.
That's the reason.

Minus operator abnormal behavior question

Oracle 10gR2/Oracle 11g on Windows 2003 R2 32-bit
There is a very weird query with minus, it is basically:
select id from table1 where xxxx --> query 1
minus
select id from table1 where xxxx --> query 2the queries are against the same table, only difference is the where clause. There are 3rd party implemented type and index being used in the where clause in both queries.
query 1 returns 100 records (i.e. all the records in table1), query 2 returns 0 record.
but with the minus operator, it returns 1 record.
If I modify query 2, remove the 3rd party type/index, use another filter that will return 0 record too, then the minus query returns 100 records correctly.
If I modify the whole query to use not in/not exist instead of minus, then query returns 100 records correctly.
Question: is it possible the 3rd party type/index can cause the minus operator to behave this way?

Visual Studio - Crystal Report: Abnormal Behavior from Crystal Report with Charts

I'm using Crystal Report 13 under visual studio 2012 where i build a report that contain pie chart and bar Chart in two different sections in the report header the report get the data from a DataTable.When i display the report in Crystal Report Viewer it is fine and as expected but when printing the report i get the first chart overriding the second chart: here the right report as displayed in CRV:
And here the wrong print out where the pie chart is duplicate and override the bar chart:
I inserted both charts in two sections in Report header and they get the data from the same DataTable. the pie chart: On change of: Discipline show values SumTotals and the Bar Chart On Change of Disciplie show values SumTotals and SumCompleted. I need your help to prevent Pie chart form overriding the bar chart by duplicating itself

Abnormal behavior for java plugin 1.3.0 and 1.3.1

One note about the applet, the applet's loads RenderingCanvas.class from required.jar.
Now when i open Internet Explorer , it loads the 1.3.0 plugin and when i open Netscape Navigator it loads the 1.3.1 plugin !!!.
Well thats not the biggest problem. The applet works correctly in Netscape Navigator. However, the java plugin 1.3.0 in internet explorer complains -> NoClassDefFoundError org.xxx.yyy.RenderingCanvas (Note: it doesn't say ClassNotFoundException).
Another thing, why does the plugin call the applet's INIT and START methods before the jar archive has even been loaded(thats what the output shows). Wouldnt the plugin always complain that the file was not found since the jar archive has not been loaded.
Although my description does seem a bit vague, does anyone have an idea why this could be ?

since the jar archive has not been loaded.Are you saying that MyViewerApplet.class is available directly from the server, and the remaining classes that it depends on are in required.jar? If so, this is normal. Java (or at least common Java implementations) load classes as needed. This means that MyViewerApplet should run fine until it encounters a class which is in required.jar, at which time it will have to wait for the loading to complete. If you want it all to load before anything starts, put MyViewerApplet.class in the jar as well.

Out Bound dialer abnormal behavior

i have a problem with OB when i put the compaign in OB it imports then it just dialed the some specific number every time and never dialed the remaining number. even if i have changed the number with the same user name which was dialing previously number like 4435006- could you please tell me the solution.

Choice Box abnormal behavior

I have an application with a choice box, which when clicked, the drop down menu pops out in a different location (away from the choice box).
This application behaves fine with other machines except in one whose config details are below:
Windows XP service pack 3 (32 bit).
Anyone else who has faced this issue? Any info would be of great help.

Abnormal behavior of adjustments

Hi all,
sometimes, just randomly, I cannot see the adjustments I've made to some pictures, mostly brushes, but even exposure.
If I quit Aperture and relaunch, most times this seems to solve the problem, other times just don't.
Adjustments however are there, in fact if I "lift adjustments" I can see brushes strokes and other things listed, but if I export the image then no adjustments are visible on the final jpeg.
If I duplicate version, the new version does have all the adjustments.
Also - and this is odd - if I resize the viewer window, I can see the adjustments, but they just disappear as soon as I stop resizing...
I've been searching the net for solutions but haven't found any so far.
Does anyone have or had the same problem?

No full screen mode when editing.
Share previews is turned off.
Quick preview is 1920x1920, preview quality 8 medium.
Does not happen in new test library.
I tried repairing and rebuilding the library with no success.
I want to try trashing the library cache folder, but cannot find it, the path should be user/library/caches.
Any ideas?
Your User Library is hidden by default in 10.7.x or later - to open it in a Finder window use the "Go" menu from the Finder's main menu bar.
Quit Aperture, if it is running. Log off and on again.
Open the user library by using the Finder's "Go > Go to Folder" menu and hold down the options-key, until "Library" appears in the drop down menu. Select it.
In the widow that will open, scroll down to "Preferences"
From the "Preferences" folder remove "com.apple.Aperture.plist".
Do the same for the mirrored items in "Caches".
Then try to launch Aperture again.
But deleting the "Preferences" file will cause Aperture to forget the preferences settings. Be prepared to have to reset all options you set using the Aperture Preferences panel.
However, before starting to trash Preferences, check, if the problem is unique to your user account. If you log into a different user account (for example, the guest account) and launch Aperture there, do you see the same strange behaviour? Then deleting User preferences will not help at all. In that case reinstall Aperture. See Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics
If however the problem is not system wide and only occurs in your account, tr, if removing any presets from "your user library > Application Support > Aperture" will make a difference

On homologation environment, the user asked me to execute this script:

Well, looks like this script do a TRIM in all values at table tablex, in column MEMCALC, with objective to eliminate de blank spaces.
It executed succesfully, but.. i read the alert.log:
Errors in file /u01/xxxx/admin/udump/dbhom_ora_3668.trc:
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kafspa:columnBuffer2], [4506], [4000], [], [], [], [], []
Reading the .trc:
ksedmp: internal or fatal error
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kafspa:columnBuffer2], [4506], [4000], [], [], [], [], []
Current SQL statement for this session:
insert into itemcobranca2 (SELECT * FROM ownerx.tablex WHERE situacao = 2)
Well, everytime this SELECT is executed or called, it shows this ORA-600 error.
Researching around google, i figured it out that this ORA-0600 error means that in some fields the datatype limited has been trespassed. The maximum varchar2 is 4000 (bytes) and after the TRIM it gets 4506.
Now my question: How the function TRIM (that suppose to reduce the number of characters eliminating blank spaces) could make the field trespass the datatype limit, if before the trim was working normally ?

That's weird because before the TRIM it was ok (with lots of blank spaces, but working).

Abnormal behavior of Opaque view

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement in OBIEE 10g to create an opaque view.
I have created an opaque view combining 2 facts and 1 dimension table(Included only 1 column in the view) in the physical layer of the RPD with appropriate foreign key joins.
Copied the table to BMM layer, created all necessary complex joins and set the logical levels for the dimensions.
We also have a Inner join with a dimension. Copied the logical table to presentation layer.
Now, I have created a adhoc report by taking columns from the newly created view to test whether the measure values are coming up or not.
When validated the results against the original fact table the amounts were not matching.(Limited the data using fiscal year)
The report which is created from the view is showing less amounts comparitively.
I have tried checking the session log queries of both the view based report and the original fact table yielded report but I didnt see any difference in the session logs.
All the joins in both the queries are one and the same.
While adding another 4 columns from the same view the results are coming good in the pivot table.(Added using trial and error method, these 4 columns were kept in excluded section as these are unused in the report)
Even if I remove one unused column from the report, the measure values are changing.+Another important thing is I havent used any aggregations in the BMM layer for the measures.+
When aggregation is set to Sum in the BMM layer the measure values are getting doubled.(So hasnt set any aggregation in the rpd)
Used the logic IFNULL(Column,0) for all the measures in the rpd. And has set the aggregation to Sum in the pivot table.
Can anyone suggest possible workaround for this issue. This newly created view should show same results when compared to the original report.
Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

When I set the aggregation rule to sum in BMM layer the measure values are getting doubled.
So I preferred to bypass the aggregation rule in BMM layer and has set it in the pivot table as of now. Does my approach affects anything or wats the exact difference in these two approaches?
Also do you have any clue on how to achieve correct results in the report(opaque view report) I was talking about in my first post?
