  • Biztalk 2013 integration with CRM 2015

    Hi,
I am working on a BizTalk 2013 integration with CRM 2015 on premise server and currently developing a POC to see how it works. There are quite a few good articles on BizTalk-CRM integration and I am referring them while building this POC. However I thought
of taking expet’s advice for this. Here are my requirements as of now.
Search CRM contacts by Fname, Lname etc.. And definitely not by Contact ID which is GUID. In this case BizTalk can expect responses like Single contact, Multiple contacts, Contact Not found or soap fault.
Create a single contact record in CRM from BizTalk.
Update Contact details in CRM like multiple addresses for a single contact.
So we have 2 approaches to integrate CRM, using untyped soap endpoint or CRM SDK.
I did an orchestration today with soap endpoint for “Retrieve” operation bypassing a GUID and can see the response returned. But how to pass the fname, lname etc. instead of GUID as there are no fields to populate in the soap Retrieve schema?
Is it wise decision to use untyped soap UI instead of CRM SDK proxy by keeping the above 3 requirements in mind?
Using SOAP endpoint, how can achieve the requirement 1 that returns multiple contacts?
I have seen articles using Query and Fetch to get multiple contacts and I really don’t understand it. Is it the only way to get multiple contacts?
    Thanks!
    JB

    Hi Abhishek,
While exploring the CRM REST capabilities i found the below content on MSDN that says the REST endpoint works only for getting the contact by uniqueID and not by firstname and lastname etc...
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg328090.aspx#BKMK_RetrievingRecords
    Retrieving records
HTTP GET is used when you are retrieving records. When a unique identifier for
a specific record is provided, only that record will be retrieved. Otherwise, any system query options that are defined will be applied and up to 50 records will be retrieved that match any system query option filters.
We can't use a GUID as it is name search from customer website and GUID available at that stage.
So if it works only with GUID then we have to use either CRM SDK or SOAP enpoint right?
    Cheers
    JB

  • Connect BizTalk Server Configuration with Sql Azure - version 2013 R2

    Hi,
My data resides on Sql Azure. I need to create BizTalkRuleEngineDb on Sql Azure using Microsoft BizTalk Server Configuration wizard. Subsequently manage rules from Business Rule Composer.
I am unable to connect to Sql Azure from BizTalk Server Configuration application. Without this i could not create BizTalkRuleEngineDb on Sql Azure. I gave the following details:
    Database server name: <servername>.database.windows.net,1433
    User name: <username>
    Password: <pwd>
When i click configure button, a message pops "The database server you specified cannot be reached...."
All i need from BizTalk is to create Business Rules Engine DB on Sql Azure. Then I would like to manage rules using Business
Rule Composer connecting to Sql Azure BizTalkRuleEngineDb.<o:p></o:p>
My business logic will programmatically access BizTalkRuleEngineDb db and execute rules using Microsoft.RuleEngine.dll<o:p></o:p>
Is this a feasible solution? I would like to see your inputs.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Tushar

First I would suggest you to perform sanity check to confirm if SQL server connectivity is perfect.
    1) Verify the MSDTC Settings on both the servers:- It should resemble as below.
    2) UDL Test:- Create a new "Text Document"(new notepad file) rename it to ABC.udl, double click and give the SQL server details and Test connection. If this fails it means BizTalk is not at all able to connect with SQL and in this
case BizTalk Application is just a victim of Network connectivity issue.

  • Biztalk 2013 R2 with Windows Server 2003 R2 Domain Controller

Hello, I have a client right who has a Windows Server 2003 R2 domain controller with active directory installed. Is there any reason why I can't install Biztalk 2013 on a Windows Server 2012 R2 box and add it to that farm to use active directory?
    Thanks in advance,
    -Adam

BizTalk Server is only going to use the User Groups created in Domain Controller so ideally i don't think there will be any compatibility issue. Also there isn't any microsoft article which talks about BizTalk compatibility with respect to domain controller.
You will have to create all the Windows Groups and User Accounts in AD, before BizTalk Server configuration.

  • Biztalk 2013 configuring to receive a 999

While attempting to process a 999 file that we receive (not generating it), the message goes suspended with the following error
Message Type 999 is not allowed as part of the Agreement
Since there is no 999 in the dropdown list for supported transactions, and there's lots of hints on the web that say the support for 999 was moved into the base artifact set for Biztalk 2013, what does one need to do in the party agreements to set to receive
    a 999
    Thanks

    Hi,
BizTalk Server 2013 introduces a new way to configure this, while allowing us to use out of the box components and update the setting at the agreement level.

  • BizTalk 2013 Integration with JDE EnterpriseOne 9.1

    Hi Guys,
I want to connect to JDE EnterpriseOne 9.1 using the out of box Enterprise JDE adapter provided by BizTalk.
I have done standalone installation of JDE EO on my machine.
I have gone through the tutorial and found that I would need Connector.jar, Kernel.jar and JDEDynAccess.jar.
However, I have found Connector.jar and JDEDynAccess.jar but somehow I don't see Kernel.jar in the installation folders of JDE EO.
Where should I get the specified file?
    Thanks in advance...
    Dhiraj Bhavsar

I hope I am not the only person on the planet who is trying to implement this solution (Integrating JDE using Adapter). :-(
Does BizTalk 2013/R2 support with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1?
    Thanks & regards,

I am having issues installing sccm 2012 on a remote sql 2008 r2 sp2 server on a seperate instance.
I get the error "The network path was not found"
if i point it at the primary instance it will let me continue but i cannot install sccm into that instance.
I have turned off dynamic ports and set a static port but I do not see where i can enter that in the installer.
I cannot seem to verify is the ssb port is working correctly or not.
my account is local admin on both servers and a sql sysadm.
There is no firewall between servers.
    Any suggestions?

  • EJB control configured with remote server

    Hi All,
I have a EJB control created in WL 8.1 workshop that talks to remote EJB deployed
on WL 7.0. I used the JNDI name format as " jndi://user@pwd:localhost:7005/MYEJB".
where the WL7 is running on 7005 port. In the design view, I can see all the exposed
methods of my EJB. That means the EJB control is able to connect to WL 7 on port
7005. However, when I build the webservice and try to invoke a method using test
browser, I get following exception -
    java.net.MalformedURLException: For input string:
    "localhost:7005"
    at java.net.URL.<init>(URL.java:613)
    at java.net.URL.<init>(URL.java:476)
    at java.net.URL.<init>(URL.java:425)
    at com.bea.wlw.runtime.core.control.EJBControlImpl.context_onAcquire(EJBControlImpl.jcs:468)
    I dont understand why?
In additon, I have already set the security credential setting between WL 8 and
    WL7 domains.

    Hi,
    Your help required please...
I am trying to do the same as what you are doing. (Integrating 8.1 with 7.0, i.e. invoking EJB running in 7.0 from 8.1).
While creating a EJB Control in Workshop, its listing only the ejbs deployed as modules. But as my EJB is running in 7.0 I have just imported my Remote and Home (in Libraries). But EJB Control doesn't look to recognise it.
    Any solution!!!
    Thanks in advance

  • Lync standard 2013 deployment with standard SQL 2008/2012

    Hi
I have been looking into the requirements and of setup Lync 2013 and I'm getting a little confused at to what would be required for SQL databases and what servers they need to be located on.
we have two sites siteA and siteB and a fast link between them 1g
I want to have two FE lync servers at site A in a pool
I want to have two FE Lync servers at site B in a pool
want to have the DR capabilities that have been mentioned in pool pairing as well can this be done with standard only
Do I require SQL for these Front end servers? or do I just need two BE servers at each location each with SQL standard installed?
To start with we really only want to use lync for IM and Presence but will require access from Iphones will this require a edge server in the DMZ? or could you use TMG?
what other roles will be required if we need to look at conversation that occurred in IM for auditing purposes.
I have looked on Technet and it only really refers to using SQL express  for standard, which to me historically is something I have not done since it has been looked upon as free and therefore maybe not seen as an medium enterprise solution.
    thanks in advanced
    J

If you're using Standard edition servers, meaning you'd have 1 server per pool and you'd pair between the sites, no SQL licensing is required unless you want it for monitoring or persistent chat databases.
If you want to have multiple servers in a pool for high availability (you mentioned 2 per pool, you want a minimum of 3 per pool), you'll need a Lync Enterprise pool with a full SQL backend.
You can pool pair with both Standard and Enterprise.
You don't require SQL for the front ends in either scenario, as SQL Express will be installed.  For the Enterprise edition pool you'll need at least one SQL Standard instance, but a second for high availability using mirroring would be nice.  You'll
want a third SQL server acting as a witness to allow for automatic failover within the mirror, but this can be SQL express and doesn't require a license.
For access from an iPhone, using the Lync mobility client, you'll need an edge for A/V traffic and a TMG or other reverse proxy such as IIS ARR or WAP to publish the web services on the front end pool to the Internet.
Since this is Lync 2013, you don't need an additional role for auditing, auditing can be collocated on the front end server and write to the same SQL instance you're using for the front end pool.  You could also choose to keep the data in Exchange if
you're running at least Exchange 2013.
SQL express is the only thing you can use for Lync standard back end, but this isn't awful.  It does the job for Lync.  If you prefer a full SQL instance, then Enterprise is the way to go, and if you want HA with multiple servers in a pool, this
is your only option.  Lync will install SQL Express on each server regardless for local copies of the management store databases and presence information, but the primary copies will be in the full SQL back end instances.

  • Test/Verify Biztalk 2013/Windows 2008 R2 installation

    Hi
I have experienced problems with MSDTC on a new two server development box (virtual server)
    BizTalk 2013/MSSQL 2012 on Windows 2008 R2
MSDTC failed connection when receive locations was started
Seems to be fine now DTC tester is working ok
I'd like to check how the installation is doing on a more regurlar basis
Any ideas, some scheduled action, a service or something
    Thanks  /Peter

    Peter,
    You can consider few options:
Since you dont have any trace of MSDTC failure in your new installation, instead of looking for an trace, you can look for its reaction like suspend message and configure an alert to
be send to you (or to support team)
Normally any MSDTC related failures on a running instance would result in a eventlog entry, and again you can configure for an alert for this event log entry.
Another option is you can create a batch file to run the DTCPing tool and it can output an log file. Your automation script can interrogate or send the copy of the log file to you.
Also in MSDTC, you can enable tracing options, where you have options like “Trace Aborted Transaction” (In the same tab you can also choose the log file location). So you can create an
automated process to send you the log file (may be by email) when the log file is created or periodically.
As said, Messagebox view can be scheduled to run and it can capture the MSDTC failures. And this report can be emailed to you.

  • Remote Access to Windows 2008 R2 Server configured with local IP

    Hello,
    I have a Windows 2008 R2 Server configured with local IP (e.g. 192.168.1.115).
Please how can I access it remotely outside its local domain through (remote desktop connection).
    Thank you.
    Tony.

    Hi Tony,
Based on your description, you would like to connect to the Windows 2008 R2 server via remote desktop connection.
So you need to enable remote desktop on the Windows 2008 R2 server if it is not already.
1.Install and configure the Remote Desktop Session Host role service in the Windows 2008 R2 server.
2.Add related user to the Remote Desktop Users group in the Windows 2008 R2 server.
3.Configure remote desktop connection in the Client.
Also, due to you would like to access it remotely outside the domain, so you will need a VPN connection or a port forward to connect through.

This release supports an in-place upgrade of earlier versions of HIS. The Host Integration Server 2013 setup automatically
upgrades your existing configuration. The following releases are supported for automatic upgrade.
    Host Integration Server 2009
BizTalk Adapters for Host Systems 2.0
When you run the installation setup for
Host Integration Server 2013, we will get the information like the following. In my server I already have
BizTalk Adapters for Host Systems 2.0 (as per the requirement),
hence this installation wizard tries to upgrade it to make it compactable with 2013.
When you proceed with the installation, this will install/upgrade the BizTalk adapter to 2013.
