Black album cover image?

So I just received my Ipod Nano, synching songs works well and all, but when I play a song, the little square for album cover are black for every song.
Album cover shows up in every program I listen to my mp3 in except on my nano ?!

Plug in the iPod, uncheck the box to show artwork on the iPod then sync the iPod (all artwork will be removed from the iPod).
When it is done, reselect that check box and sync the iPod again (all artwork added to iPod).
This often times clears up display issue with artwork on the iPod.
Cheers,
Patrick

  • Embedding "album cover" image in a video podcast file

I've created a video podcast and successfully submitted it to ITMS. The issue is that the individual episodes of my video podcast do not have cover art images associated with them. Instead, when I test subscribed to my video podcast, it generated an "album cover" for the podcast in a seemingly random fashion. For the first episode, it grabbed a still frame from second 6 of the .m4v file. and for the second episode, it grabbed a still frame from second 11 of the .m4v file.
So, I thought I would go into the .m4v file via QTPro and create an image metadata association like is done with ID3 tags in .mp3 files. However, I cannot find a away to do that.
Does anyone know how to embed an "album cover" image into a video podcast file (.m4v file)?
If I add an image to the file via iTunes Get Info>Art Work tab and then export it back to my server, will the added image stay embedded in the .m4v file so that when others subscribe to my video podcast they will see my selected "album" artwork for that episode?
You can view my video podcast at http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=83434502

    Super Mario:
You were correct. Adding album artwork through iTunes "Get Info>Art Work" tab and then exporting my video podcast file back out to my server did the trick. I tested subscribing to it and this time my video podcasts had the album artwork that I selected attached to them.
Also, thank you for the compliment on my sci-fi video podcasts. I'm currently working on a major overhaul of the website which will serve the fans of the series (if any). You can check it out in about two days at http://www.sayremedia.com.

  • Album cover image missing in Itunes

Itunes added most of the album covers I have in my music library but some are still missing I have gone to google.com and clicked on images then searched for album cover images, chose a cover and saved to my desktop, but the image will not paste. What am I doing incorrectly? I have recently upgraded to I'11

Thank you, I found the answer on "More like this..." The step I was missing was clicking on file, then get info...I was able to paste my image.

  • Problem with Album cover images...

It doesn't happon to every album, but for some reasion, ill notice that the image for an album will be gone, blank.
The B** is, i cant always find the picture again, or one with good quality. All i do to add the picture to the song/album is click on the *Album Artwork* box on the bottom left corner and past. (Or if its a group of songs, highlight them, and add it in the *Multiple Item Information*, Artwork box.

easiest way to do it is to go to album view in iTunes and right click the empty album cover and select 'get album artwork' - but you may have to log into iTunes.
Otherwise google the album on wikipedia, right click the artwork and copy - then in iTunes right click the album, info, and paste the picture into the artwork block. It is a little work, but you only have to do it once.
artwork automatically downloads only for albums purchased on iTunes.

  • E7-00 / N8 music album cover images

    Hi,
I transferred MP3:s from my laptop to E7-00. Some how one of the folders got CD cover image in phone music player. I tried to add cover pictures to same folders with the mp3:s, but didin't work out.
Does anyone know if its possible to add pictures for album covers manually? Or what might be the logic?

If you drag album art jpg onto Album icon on WMP it should be embedded on all tracks once transferred to phone (works for over 3000 tracks on my N97 anyway !!)
If I have helped at all, a click on the White Star is always appreciated :

  • IPhoto album cover images are lost when I sync to my iPad and iPhone. Can I fix this?

I have a few albums that I created with iPhoto on my Mac. I picked a cover image, and it has worked on the Mac, but when I view the albums on my iPad or iPhone, the cover image is just the default one - it isn't the one I picked. Can anyone suggest how to fix this?

iPhoto on the Mac and on the iPhone are to totally different programs sharing only a name - at this time changes made in one do not sync to the other - only the photos that yu sync when you sync them are synced

  • Unable to update album cover images and sometimes ID3-tags

    Hello everyone,
I'm having problems with updating my track information on those tracks that I imported from my hard disk (mainly mp3s). I'm unable to add an album cover to most of them and sometimes it doesn't save the changes when I'm changing title and album information.
The last things I've done were updating iTunes to version 7.3.1.3 and additionally I chose the option "convert ID3-Tags to v2.4".
Before those two changes everything worked very well, but now I don't know what to do.
    Thanks for your help already!
    Andy

    Anyone got a clue?
I figured out that after the ID3-Tag-conversion there are some files that are still alterable and some are not.
With the latter ones I even cannot re-convert the ID3-Tags back to version 1.

  • Distorted Album Cover Images In Cover View Mode

I have recently developed a problem where a number of album covers appear distorted (lines, dots etc.)when in the cover view only.
The same album when viewed in the grouped or list mode displays the correct image in both views.
    Please Help

i am probably being bad taking this topic to three different threads. strange thing there is no button for me to start my own new thread.
try this...copy album to artist album and grouping, each album done seperately of course. its a work around for me. i think artist ablum and grouping is redundant. if i sort by artist, thats fine to split them all up, but if i click album, it should group them all together in any view. (i can see the use for grouping, but then playlist or genres can do the same job.

  • HT201269 Why is my album cover image not displaying on my ipod touch (5th gen) , but is available on my mac book pro?

I have an an ipod touch 5th gen. IOS8.1
Recently new songs that I download from the iTunes store does not have an image for the cover instead it shows the singer's name in grey, the image. Is there something wrong when I sync my device? I've tried re-syncing my library, but nothing is working.
    Thank you in advance.
    Grace

    That happens sometimes:
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
      - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • I have an iNano, 16 gb,  and loading music with the image of the album cover seems to take a huge amount of space.  When one buys music via iTunes, is there a way to not have the album cover image,  or how do you load music with no album image...?  Grizzw

Is there a way to download music bought on iTunes and not have it include the  Album image.  Seems the images take up a huge amount of space on my iNano.   OR,  is there a way to  load it onto my  iNano,  just the music,  and not the image...?

The album art takes a very small amont of space.

  • Music album cover images and track titles show on iPhone 4s but music doesn't play - any ideas?

I am a Young at Heart Senior, new to iPhone 4s, have an old creaking pc with Windows XP Home.....but plan to enter the real world any day soon by buying a new Mac!
Here is my problem, I purchased an album on iTunes and mistakenly started to sync it to my phone, (although I don't have iCloud loaded on my pc). I stopped it mid download and later noticed that the total track numbers were showing as a red number above the "more" button as if they were waiting to complete the download. It stayed there while I thought about it for a few days, but when I click the Album button all the tracks are listed.
Now to the funny part.....when I click on a track or indeed any of them, it doesn't play a sound...but the progress bar above moves as if "now playing".
So, I thought.... no problem, I would connect the phone up to iTunes and delete the tracks....but when I do so, this album and none of it's track titles show in my music list for the phone......weird.
So, I have a large album with titles only on my phone, no music behind the titles (which, incidentally, is rubbish anyway) and I can't get rid of it off my phone, any of you young whizzy iPhoners have any ideas how to clear it off???
I did think I might just Restore my phone, but wondered whether downloading all my stuff from iCloud would still include the dreaded  "Now That's What I Call Christmas" album, which I only purchased in late 2011 to play at a seniors Xmas party...........you live and learn!
You will guess from my ramblings that I am not at all techy, but consider myself willing to learn and apart from this hiccup........I luuuurve my iPhone!

If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go

  • Now Playing Stuck on Album Cover

Whenever I am playing a song, the now playing screen which normally shows the artist, song title, album name and the duration of play now only shows either the album cover image or, if there isn't one, just a blank screen. When I go up a level to see the song lists or main menu everything is fine but I don't know how to get back to the original settings and no, Reset All Settings doesn't do the trick.

    See this...

  • Cover-images gone

All album-cover images have recently disappeared from my iPod for a reason I don't know, though they are still shown on my iTunes window. The only cover-images on my IPod are from the two albums I bought yesterday. I also just used the "Receive album-images"-function in the "Advanced"-menu to get images for some of the albums I got with CDs. But the cover-images of all the older albums I bought from iTunes won't show. I suppose I may have accidentally turned off some option or something. Any ideas?
    Message was edited by: Nilas

the only idea i have is to go into your library, hit select all (command a on a mac or control a on a pc), right click (or command click if you have a 1-button mac mouse), and hit get album artwork. once it's done, sync your ipod.

  • After downloading the latest ujpdate from itunes it is impossible to see album songs individually, the screen is black and all that shows is the album cover.

Trying to find music to download and buy but the screen is black with no facilities to view the records on the album.
When I click on the album it plays and offers a single purchase on that song playing, but no other option to
buy the whole album.  It also displays 4 pictures of the same album cover.
Have tried deleting and downloading again and pressed repair, but the same thing happens.
What do I do now please?

    Hello hsielglad,
Thank you for your question. iTunes 11.1 is required to update to and sync with iOS 7.  If you are still running iTunes 10.6.3, I recommend trying to obtain the update by going to the iTunes menu and selecting Check for Updates.
iTunes: How to install the latest version

If you continue to get the message that iTunes is up to date, you can download the latest version of iTunes here:
    Download iTunes

Once the file downloads, double click on the installation file that downloaded to initiate the installation.
