Black and white bar screen x230

Since recently my laptop shows a big black and white bar after booting. After applying a little force to the screen i get different colorsLike so:
And after applying some more force, not too roughly of course, it is all fine again. However im afraid that after a while it will not be fixable by a little force anymore. I did not drop the laptop to cause this and have never taken the screen appart.
Is this something i can fix? should i send the laptop for warranty? (still have a year or so left)?

Seems the culprit is a damaged cable from systemboard to the screen or connector between them. I know about the such issues with x220 that has similar design and the same screen models.
To attempt resolve an issue you should disassemble keyboard, remove the screen bezel and get access to the entire cable (inside of the hinges including) and connector. Then have a look at them closely, probably you'll find some defect.
Or contact with warranty service.

I cant get the black and white apple screen off

every time its not being used or chraged, it goes to a black and white screen with an apple on it.
its not at hold and it is responding but how do i get it off of the screen?

oh... and when ever i try to update my ipod, it never works.
only when i have the cd in there, and i redownload it.
is there any way to skip around any of these steps?
because i really dont want to go through the complicated prosses of downloading the softwear every time the softwear refuses to work.

Black and white lined screen

I was using my iphone to watch movies and programs the other night then my screen got lines coming half way across the screen at the bottom right hand corner. After they disapeared my phone screen went black and now it has white lines going side to side covering the screen. Every now and then the date and time pops up. I can still unlock my phone and use it but i cannot see anything, i can hear my messages coming through and i can answer the phone.
Do i need to get a new screen?

Specifically -
If you see lines, missing sections, discoloration, or poor image quality
Try to restart your device. If you can't restart, reset your device.
If restarting or resetting doesn’t fix the issue, restore your device.
If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.

Iphone start up screen black and white stripes

My iPhone 4S powers up with a black and white striped screen then goes black. If I do a reset, it will eventually come back, work properly, and then go black again. When plugged into power, with screen set never to sleep, it works.

That's a sign of a hardware fault.
make an appointment at the genius bar and have it looked at.

Macbook monitor is a shaking black and white screen

My macbook monitor screen keeps going to a black and white shaking screen and the only way to get it to stop is power off and back on. Soon after I power it back on, the screen goes back to the black and white shaking screen. Any idea?

Unfortunately protected content is blocked from Airplay using Apple's DVD Player (same for playing back DRM protected video in iTunes or Quicktime, but you are better off using Home Sharing for that).
For this reason the OS does not allow the Airplay algorithm to grab the screen displaying 'protected video' - annoyingly even unportected home made DVDs will exhibit this.
Try using something like VLC Player instead.
This was such an obvious use for Airplay but the movie studios probably insisted.

I am going to sell my second generation ipod touch, so i resetted it to factory defaults. It said it would take up to an hour, and i patiently waited. But when the black and white loading bar completed, the ipod went to the black screen with an apple logo

But now, there is a processing circle on top of the logo, but the circle spins once, and stops at about halfway to the bottom. It just stays there, and about every half to one hour it becomes a white screen and starts all over again. (not the loading bar part, just the circle). I've tried holding the power and the home button, and it works, but it just goes back to the circle screen with the apple logo. HELP PLEASE?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My screen flickered and now all I get is black and white pixels - any ideas for a fix before I take to the Genius Bar?

MacBookPro is about 8 years old now so has had a good innings. Last night the screen flickered, and then went off. Turning Mac back on again brought black and white pixels - small rectangles all over the screen. In background is little apple in middle of screen with the round rainbow timer thing vaguely visible. This then sticks and I just have the pixels nothing else.
Any ideas?
I have booked with Genius bar tomorrow but am feeling bereft!

Yeah it's dead. Take it to an Apple Genius Bar and have it checked out. Then buy a new one.

Try resetting your phone, hold the home and sleep/wake button down until the apple symbol comes up, then release. If that doesnt work, you may have damaged your phone and need to take it to an apple genius bar.

I have just updated top Firefox 4 and now it seems to flixer black and white with my screen and is unseable

I have just up dated firefox and it is running unstable when there is any action on the page the whole window not the screen flashes black and white. this is the only program that this happens for and the only version of firefox it has happened for. and now when I remove firefox 4 and attempt to install a early version that version wont run

At this time there is not an option or a default to set black and white only from the front panel of the printer. Some applications may give you settings in the Application itself for color or black and white but that would be the only place to change the color of the document/photo for your print jobs.
