Black apple might not be broken i hope
My ipod dosen't do anything anymore except show the silver apple on the black background on the screen?????? I don't know what this means. It is a 30g 5th gen ipod video, I have the new itunes 7.4.2 installed, I tried the 5R's on the trouble shooting web page and it just stays solid with the apple on the screen.
Niether itunes or my computer recognize the ipod as anything even after unistalling the USB drivers and rebooting. I do not know what this means.
Can you help?

I have a iPad 2 , not jail broken, just 2 months old fresh from the apple store. Recently I have been directed to **** sites or a fake bad oink **** application, through various applications. From google chrome app, the photon app and safari.
I always delete cookies and cache on exit. I use photon and puffin to watch flash player videos on tv series site with links such as put locker. I heard that there is no virus for the iPad but Trojans do exist.
Pleae help, at first this was just happening with photon app now in 3 different apps, and it is directing me always to the same **** site. I don't watch **** so it's. it from cookies or whatever and my iPad has been randomly turning off and also the videos are working really badly now. Also there is a message red alert staying untrusted site and hacker may be intercepting your device. What is going on? Please help
Is their a new redirecting Trojan or virus for iPad 2. ? If yes how can I remove it and will it cause permanent damage to my device? How could I have got this virus and in 3 apps. Again, even Kaspersky doesn't say such things exist now, merely that they might.
Speculation about what might happen in the future or articles focusing on the Mac OS or Android are not terribly relevant. So, if you do have any other citiations, preferably from a source that doesn't derive most of is revenue from the companies it reviews, that document a virus or trojan that affects an unjailbroken iOS device, I would be interested. I have not been able to find any. I thought, perhaps, as a professional, you might know of some.

Do u have to have a computer/pc to use home sharing? I have apple tv not sure if it's 2nd or 3rd generation or even if it's first generation. My laptop is broken and in the shop, can I run my apple tv off my iPad?
If you have home sharing turned on in the settings of your apple tv and your iPad you can AirPlay from your iPad to the apple tv. When you play a video there is a tv icon on the right side of the play/pause/fwd/rwd icons. Click that and choose your apple tv. Your apple tv and iPad must be on the same network.

I have restored it twice and updated it, the water sensor shows it has not been wet. Not jail-broken and exterior buttons all work. It seems to have problems connecting and being found by a computer (Windows). How do i fix this and will Apple fix it? Thanks

Anyways when I go to it theres a drop-down list and you select the one you want and I know the number next to it identifies the model but the thing is they don't have my model listed so my main question is, what version eg. 2.1.1. or 2.2.1 etc. etc. etc. etc. will work with my model of ipod touch which is the 2g Model A1288?

my i phone 5 was dropped, didn't break but went completerly black screen and nonresponsive. I pushed both the home button and top button no response. I plugged it to the computer it gave me white screen with black apple. I pushed the home and the top went black then gave the itune and the charging plug picture. - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer

You don't in the condition it's in. You will either have to get the phone replaced by Apple or pay a 3rd party to repair it.

Have most recent macbook pro connected to thunderbolt via thunderbolt cable. Occasionally when I close my laptop the thunderbolt display goes black and does not come back on---even in response to keyboard. Help

It sounds like you are trying to use your MacBook Pro with a Thunderbolt Display in closed clamshell mode (MacBook Pro closed), but sometimes the display doesn't stay on. I found an article that talks about closed clamshell mode. You would have to fulfill the following requirements to use your display this way:

I was having problem with my Back to my Mac as message was saying DNS Server not responding . I tried to turn my WIFI off, then my router to no avail. Decided to call Apple Support line in the UK . I got a call back immediatly and great support. The advisor took over my screen and we check that my laptop was synchronising with I phots and it was. The adviser also told that when the message DNS server is not responding next to Back to my Mac is has to do with Apple Server not mine , router etc... Hope this save others some time! Rather than spending time truining on and off changing IP address etc...
Thanks for your thorough post. I too need to use BTMM on almost a daily basis for my job, and it has fallen short countlness times. I too have taken great pains to check all of the typical trouble shooting steps within iCloud and in the Apple keychain on each Mac etc, but after the latest rounds of system updates from Apple a few weeks ago to Mountain Lion, BTMM on one of my Macs is completely broken and unusable. I would concur that if you need remote access for "real" mission critical use, just bite the bullet and pay for a service like LogMeIn. You won't regret it and you will get real software support.

Don't know if this went through the first time. Cannon printer would not print black. bought a new Epson-800. Same problem. Can it be something in my Mac causing the problem. It's only the black that is not working.
