Black at the start of one iPhoto09 slideshow, green discoloration on a 2nd

I have created and exported a number of slideshows successfully, both on mpeg-4 and .mov formats. I created one that runs fine but starts with a black screen, as if the first picture is a blank. The music plays during the black and everything else is fine. Why can't I get the pictures to start sooner?
Another issue came with a 2nd slideshow that plays fine but when exported as a .mov file is green and the picture is slanted/distorted. It runs fine in iPhoto. When I share it to iDVD using mpeg-4, it comes out fine. Basically I can't get this particular slideshow into mpeg-4 format.

I have created a number of slideshows just as you suggested: First an album with the pictures that I select for a show, then the + on the lower left; once created, I sometimes add, delete or change the order of what's in the slideshow; then I use the Export button on the lower right or the Share button to send to iDVD. I prefer Export because typically I add a slideshow as a chapter to a longer DVD that I have created. I encountered 2 separate problems:
1. When I Shared one slideshow to iDVD it worked fine, but later when I tried to export it as a .mov file, it was green and the image was distorted to the right. This happened with only one slideshow; perhaps if I deleted it and started over it would have resolved the problem. I just used the mpeg-4 file Shared to iDVD. Problem was, I couldn't make that file widescreen.
2. One slideshow that I Exported on the Display (1240X800) setting works fine, but it begins with a blank screen, as if I've placed a black slug for 5 seconds at the start of the slideshow. I did move a picture from later in the show to the first spot, but that shouldn't create a blank. No other slideshow has done that. I suppose I could, again, delete the show and start over, but that's not elegant as Apple should be, too much like a PC.
Neither of the above could not be worked around, but.....

Voice Contrl blacks out the screen

Hi, I bought iphone couple of days ago and noticed that everytime I use voice control (be it for dialing a number or playing a song) my screen goes black with the start of that call or music. It does not come back so easily. I mean I can understand that the phone is working in the background but I don't get any display. Sometimes it gets so frustrating that I powered my phone off and then back on three four times just to see the display.
It is really very annoying. Is it really how "voice control" works or there is something wrong in my set.

There is nothing wrong with the OS update.
Delete ALL your email accounts.
Restart Playbook
Put the accounts back and ensure they are all set with PUSH ON. Manual (push off) will burn battery.
Similarly delete your wifi connections and add back when required.
Turn off wifi is not connected to wifi.
Any "hunting for connection" in email or wifi will burn up battery.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

Satellite A305-S6898 - half black screen on the start-up

I purchased this laptop back in the beginning of March and had to return it to store due to an issue at start-up when half the screen would turn black on the Windows log in screen. They ordered me a new one that I received about 3 weeks ago and I used it for about a week before I got the same issue of half black screen with the start-up.
Now it has been running really slow and about an hour ago I had it freeze up on me and my entire screen turn into a bunch of colorful lines.
I had to restart into safe-mode and run a virus scan just to make sure that wasn't my problem.
I don't download anything on this computer other than the basic messengers and photo editing programs.
I have an HP MP7170N desktop which i use to download everything that seems to run quicker than the laptop and I use photo programs, downloads torrents and store most of my music and photos on that one and it only has 1GB of memory compared to this ones 4GB.
What is the deal?
Anyone have any ideas as to what I can do.
I can't really return it to the store because they only give a 14-day grace period for returns.

Looks not good for me it sounds a little bit like graphic issue.
Before you would contact a professional Toshiba authorized service provider it would be interesting to know if you would notice some improvements after recovery procedure and BIOS update.
I believe you didnt get an recovery disk because you can create it using the preinstalled Toshiba software check your user manual how to create recovery disk
So after new installation check the notebook usability and if similar issues still persists.
If nothing will be changed its strongly recommended to contact an ASP

(1) You say you did the symbolic link. I will assume this is set correctly; it's very important that it is.
(2) I don't know what you mean by "Been feeding the [email protected] for several weeks now, 700 emails each day at least." After the initial training period, SpamAssassin doesn't learn from mail it has already processed correctly. At this point, you only need to teach SpamAssassin when it is wrong. [email protected] should only be getting spam that is being passed as clean. Likewise, [email protected] should only be getting legitimate mail that is being flagged as junk. You are redirecting mail to both [email protected] and [email protected] ... right? SpamAssassin needs both.
(3) Next, as I said before, you need to implement those "Frontline spam defense for Mac OS X Server." Once you have that done and issue "postfix reload" you can look at your SMTP log in Server Admin and watch as Postfix blocks one piece of junk mail after another. It's kind of cool.
(4) Add some SARE rules:

You might have a 3rd party plugin that isn't compatible with Safari 4.0.4. Go here for help...

If you are using a USB hub, try disconnecting and restarting with just your keyboard and mouse connected.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...

It contains fixes that might help. Then repair disk permissions.
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

A much simpler solution would be to go into Settings > Store and turn off Automatic Downloads

yes you can have multiple devices on one account just not in the same library before you sync it create a new library by:
If you are using Windows, hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu and choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes.
Then add the songs you want
THen yuo can sync sync it by plugging in the usb cord the computer then plug in the ipod to the cord that it came with
