Black Berry curve 9300 3G doesn't want to reboot

hello all,
today i decided to delete the facebook app of my blackberry curve 9300, at the end of the process I was asked to restart the phone....but since then the starting process get stopped at about 3/4 of the bar...I waited for several hours but it doesn't want to get fully restarted...I did several restart by taking the battery out and back again without success. I just feel like I lost my phone just because I wanted to remove an application...I tried different things to get the phone back like reloading the OS with the KB1044 but it doesn't work...(it says it doesn't find any update for my phone) I don't know what to do. Can someone help me?

Start your phone in safe mode and delete the app if still in there. See this article.

  • My Black Berry Desk Top Manager doesn't work on my computer help!

On March 6 I took my BlackBerry® Style™ 9670 smartphone  in for software issues after tech support did a hard reset on the device. I went home to back up my information and was unsuccessful. The connection failed this is the first time that the desk top software had problems. I un-installed The Desktop software and reinstalled and the disk that came with the phone open almost "1 Million" windows therefore opening some type of virus on my computer. I tried to install from the Black Berry site and it did the same thing. I had to get my computer serviced, I tried installing from the site yet again and now it still isn't working when installed... Help!!

    Hi luciana247,
Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Can you provide more detail on what happens with the Desktop Software after the last reinstall? What error messages are being received? Are you able to open it? At what point does it stop working?

My blackberry curve 9800 keeps turning its self off then on. It doesn't stay on long enough to do anything, this started yesterday. I can't find anywhere how to fix it

Hello Brandon4406 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Sorry to hear you're device is having an issue and rebooting.
Is there an error on the screen when the device reboots? If so, what's that error?
Are you in a particular app when the reboot happens? Or is it random?
Are you able to reboot your device in Safe Mode as shown in KB17877?
    Thanks!

  • Problems with syncing Black Berry Curve to Mac

I transferred info from an old blackberry to a new blackberry 8330. My mac computer downloaded the rest of my contacts to the phone . An hour later I tried to sync the calendar now it won't recognize my new blackberry. The icon that popped on as "NO NAME" on my computer is no longer there when I attach the USB. Is there a way that I can reset my computer so it can recognize the new phone. HELP!!!

Would that be the FREE final? I thought not.
It's nice to know that you like the preview release of the Missing Sync for Blackberry and that you have been pleased historically with the Missing Sync for Palm OS, but uh - enough already. Mining this forum for opportunities to post generally incomplete or incorrect information isn't particularly helpful to anyone, except possibly you. Maybe that's the point.
If it is, you might want to take a look at that landing page in your Public Profile if you intend to attract any positive attention to your support services. You might also want to review the Terms of Use regarding the activity you're presently engaged in in this forum.

  • My black berry tour 9300 is going crazy help ASAP!

I went away for a week and the second day my phone started going crazy. It would freeze and type in huhuhuhuhuhuhuhu until the whole thing was filled with it and when i try to type "hahahaha" it ends up like this "huahuahuahua" i first thought that maybe i got sand in it so i brought that air duster you use for keyboards on computers it helped a little but its still freezing i still cant type in words or use my key board or my enter button, end button, and menu button. What can i do? it also took my pictures and deleted them. HELP ME PLEASE!!!

It sounds like what I have seen multiple times on a device with moisture damage.
Even sitting on a bathroom counter during a hot steamy shower or bath can cause keyboard and trackball problems UNTIL properly dried out.
It really is more common than you think.
    1. Remove the battery immediately!! Do not attempt to turn on your BlackBerry.
    2. Let the device dry in a warm, dry place for 3 to 5 days* (see below)
    3. DO NOT "check it each day" by placing the battery in. Leave it be to dry completely. This takes time. Replacing the battery to check it can only damage it more (moisture + electrical current = disaster).
    3. If the device is warm after the drying period, allow it to cool to room temperature before placing the battery back in.
*Suggestions on drying your BlackBerry in a warm place (open, with the battery out):
Place the BB in a container of dry UNcooked rice, and then you might also place it in any of the locations mentioned below.
On top of any dry heat emitting electronic component: TV cabinet or CRT, LCD, cable TV/Satellite converter box or plasma monitor
On the dashboard of your car on a sunny day

That's not quite what I meant. What I meant was that any authoritative forward looking information is not allowed on these forums (see the ToS). Anyone who has access to such information is restricted from releasing it. In essence, that reduces to "rumor" any forward looking information you might see here. Since these forums are not a user-to/from-RIM conduit, the information will come only from other users...who, by our very nature, simply don't have access to such forward looking information. I hope that RIM is looking into this situation (and hundreds others, btw), but we have no way to know if they are.

  • I need to know a lot of things about Blackberry Curve 9300, I need hel please...

Hello there! Some of the questions or problems I'm encountering now maybe for some is nothing & seemed silly but for me it's giving me headache. First, just downloading & installing the Blackberry Desktop Software for PC is giving me a problem already, I downloaded & installed Blackberry Desktop Software v.5.0 but seemed not compatible with my PC & Blackberry Curve 9300, some options & features were missing/incomplete. So what is the best BB Desktop Software for BB Curve 9300? And I want to upgrade my BB Curve 9300 v.5.0.0.977 (Platform 6.3.0.63) to 6 OS. However, I want to know the advantages of the 6 OS first, what features are so special with this OS? Is it ok to download & install the 6 OS leaks? Among those leaks(V.6.0.0.448; v.6.0.0.418, v.6.0.0.380, v.6.0.0.344; etc.) what is the best & safest & most compatible with version of blackberyy Curve 9300 that i have??? Is it a must to upgrade my version of BB Curve 9300 to 6 OS? Í love changing my themes, wallpapers & ringtones but the version I have doesn't allow me to do so... So limited choices... What can I do???
I will really appreciate any comments, suggestions, replies regarding my concerns... Thanks!!!

Hi and Welcome to the forums!
Wow...that's a lot to pack into a single paragraph with a large colorful font! But, let's see if we can take your points one by one, shall we?

Exactly how did it seem not compatible? Precise descriptions are always better than vague generalities...which leave us to only guess...which helps no one I find...
    Netteski wrote:

    Again...what, exactly?
    Netteski wrote:

The most recent version (6.0.1.18), available here:
    http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/
BTW...the version of the Desktop Software itself is not at all tied to your BB model, nor your BB OS level. It is always best to use the most recent Desktop Software version, regardless of BB model/OS that you have. (There are some very special cases that are exceptions to that...but they are indeed very special.)

OS 6 is very very different from OS 5. I suggest you read the release notes, view the videos, and other things. If, ultimately, you decide you don't want it, then you can always fall back.

I don't know if those versions are leaks or not. But, if they are from a carriers download web portal:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
then they are official and not leaks. From what I can quickly find, the most recent official OS for the 9300 is 6.0.0.461 (from Telus). Typically, on this officially sanctioned (by RIM) site, we shy away from much discussion about leaks since they have bypassed the official channels and are not sanctioned by anyone for release to the general public.
    Netteski wrote:

Nope...you can stay behind for as long as you want. Just be aware that someday your OS will be End Of Life and there will be no further formal support. Before you ask...no, I've no idea when that would happen.
    Netteski wrote:

Given that OS 6 is even newer, I'd expect that your choices for those things would be even further limited. But, over time, that will shift and there will be plenty of options for OS 6 for you to play with.
    Good luck!

  • How to block a Black Berry stolen?

Last december I got a Black Berry  Curve 8520 and last week someone stolen it. In order to anyone can use it, except me, How I can block it?

You can't really "block" it unless you had purchased an app such as SmrtGuard.  If the phone was password protected, the person who stole it will end up wiping the phone of all the data on it, in which case, your phone's data will then be gone.
What you should do immediately though is to call your carrier and let them know your phone was stolen.  They will then cancel your SIM card and issue you a new one.  By cancelling your current SIM card, the person who stole you BlackBerry can no longer make calls that will be charged to you.
Depending, it's also possible that your carrier is able to disable the phone and prevent anyone else from trying to activate it.  At the very least, they may be able to block the PIN making it impossible to connect to the BlackBerry network.
Regardless, your starting point right now will be with your carrier, and depending on who your carrier is, they may be able to do more to at least make the phone worthless to the person who stole it or the person who ends up buying it.

You must have a dataplant inorder to get email notifications. If you dont believ me the try it by your self concern with the forum call every technical person you know and tell your problem and aks him to on the email notification services with using data plan. If any body does then please let me know.
