Black border after rendering

My video is perfect while I'm working on it but every time I hit Enter to render it does render, but also all of the video clips jump a little, creating this black border around them all on the top and sides.  I can fix it by adjusting the anchor point or position one notch, but I have to do that for every clip and then of course the "rendered" line turns red again.  This seems like a bug.  Here's a screenshot showing this border:

OK, I'm not quite sure what you are doing, when you are adjusting:
when I make that fix, suppose the number is at 243 (as it was in the test I just did) and to fix it I raise the number to 244.  Now I hit Enter to render.  The black border appears, but the number is still at 244.
Your Project/Sequence is 720 x 486, which appears to be the largest Frame Size of any of your Assets. Are the Sequences in the Project each set to the Frame Size of the contained Assets, or are you using Motion>Scale to fit them into the 720 x 486 Sequences?
Where are you using the 243 and 244? Is this in the Effects Control Panel>Effect>Motion>Scale, vertical dimension setting, or elsewhere.
It's probably that I am just not following something in the workflow, and not something that you're doing, but I'm not clear on a few aspects.
Thanks,
Hunt
[Edit] I think I just got it. You are inputting the 243 into Motion>Position for the center of your Asset. Sorry, it took a moment to sink in.

  • Blacks wrong after rendering

    hi,
i have a problem with the blacks after rendering in any codec and size. the source files are all very good 720 oder 1080`s. what could that be ? see picture attached.
    thanks for response on this.

"Creative Cloud with all the current updates" is not enough information; please report the exact version number displayed in the About Premiere Pro dialog. If it turns out that you're on 7.1, they you might be hitting the bug discussed in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5826830#5826830.
I'm not clear on what exactly the problem is. Is it that the video appears squeezed in the horizontal dimension during playback? Or did the sequence's dimensions actually get changed?
What are the Program Monitor's Zoom Level and Playback Resolution?
What are the sequence settings? (a screenshot of the Sequence Settings dialog would help.)
Do you have GPU acceleration enabled? If so, please try switching the Renderer to Software Only and see if the problem persists.

You haven't given us nearly enough information to help you.

  • Anyone else getting a small black line after rendering in PPCC?

I just started working on a new project, and I've noticed that when I render after adding a cross dissolve transition I get a small black bar on the right side of my video.  It's only in the rendered part.  I haven't changed any settings or added any filters or adjustments- just put two pieces of video together, added cross dissolve, rendered with the default settings and that's the result.  I've never had this happen before.  Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

Interesting.  I just opened this project with PPCC2014 and it's not there.  Must be something buggy with the other version.

  • Black squares after rendering

After export (H.264 1920x1080 25fps) black squares flashing in the top right corner. In Premiere everything is ok. I only haveproblems in the exported file. Anybody any ideas?

    Weird, man.
Do the black bars on the sides also appear in PP, or just the export?

  • Big black marks after rendering  DNxHD Codec after using some effects, using Eos Mark III footage on FCP7

    Dear All,
I hope you can help me. Working on an IMac with FCP 7. It's the first time that I am using footage shot with Canon EOS Mark III. I did not expect this to be such a problem as it was almost impossible to edit with the footage, as I kept on getting the beach ball and then it would crash. Finally fixed the problem by downloading the DnxHD Codec and was able to do a rough edit on a compressed timeline to make the job faster and show a rough cut to the client.
Now I am trying to cut an HD version, where I'm using the same footage with matched timeline settings and when I don't do anything and render it, it looks fine. The minute I use an effect (e.g colour correction or a simple crop) and render, I literally get big black blotches or marks all over the image. Any advise on where I should look to fix the problem?
    Many thanks!
    Amanda

Convert the footage to ProRes LT before editing.
Your camera shoots H.264 and Final Cut Pro does not like that one bit.
You can use FCP's Log & Transfer function to do this (you might need to install a Canon Plug-in first) or you can do the conversion in Compressor.

  • Colors in an image comes out different after rendering comp

Hey guys, having an annoying problem.
For a project, I've imported a jpeg file that I made on Photoshop. The colors look perfectly fine on the RAM previews and stuff but after I render it, just that specific jpg image comes washed out. It should be dark grey / almost black but after rendering into .mov that image becomes medium grey. It's noticeably more washed out and lighter. All the other colors in that image are also noticeably lighter as well.
Any ideas whats going on? I have set my working space to my monitors color profile and I have proofed the colors after saving on Photoshop.
Thanks! This is driving me nuts!

I send the composition to the Render Queue and do it from there. I have my render settings to "Best", and output module to "Lossless".
Regarding the codec, I'm not sure about that. How can I find out? Sorry this is my first time really with AE.
    EDIT: FIXED!
On the output module, I had it set to Quicktime before. I changed that to H.264 and the colors were fine after that. Whew!
Thanks for all your help Rick!

  • I get every time after rendering four black bars around the video, I would like to fix this because it is not really professional.

sorry for my poor english, I have a problem with adobe premiere elements 12 when I render I get a video black bars on all sides of the screen, which makes the video smaller. How do I fix this?

    Bram Bakker
Are you OK with translating the language English to Dutch? Have you been using the Translate button at the bottom right of the posts to translate what is written in English to Nederlands (Dutch)? Is the major problem that you cannot find the locations that I point to in Premiere Elements?
    1. What are the properties of the video that you are putting on the Timeline? The quick way to find this
information is knowing brand/model/settings of the camera that recorded the video on the Timeline.
From this question I am trying to find out what the properties are for your video - video compression, audio compression, frame size, interlaced or progressive, file extension, pixel aspect ratio. I was hoping that you could tell me the brand/model/settings of the camera recording the video so that I could find the information myself.
    2. What are you setting (manually) or the project (automatically) as the project preset that will match
the properties of the video that you are importing? If you do not know, then tell us what you see under
Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and the readouts for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size, and Pixel
Aspect Ratio, even if the fields look grayed out.
Besides knowing the properties of your video, it is just as important to know the project settings. Are you setting them yourself or just dragging the video to the Timeline and letting the project set the project preset automatically? If you are doing nothing, then the answer is that the project is doing the setting automatically.
Either way, you can find out what is being set by going to Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and looking for the reading that you see in the following screenshot.
    3. The next big question is "What do you mean by rendering?"
Do you see these black borders after you render the Timeline content in the Edit area to get the best
possible preview of what you are seeing in the Edit area monitor?
    or
Do you see these black borders after you go to Publish+Share/ and export the Timeline video?
If your "rendering" refers to the export of the Timeline, please tell us Publish+Share/and then what?
This question 3 should not need a screenshot. The question is where are you seeing the black border in your video.
    a. When you are in the Edit Area of the program and you press the Enter key of the computer main keyboard or the Render
    button above the Timeline.
    or
    b. After you have exported your Timeline using Publish+Share/ and one of the export paths.
Please see if any of the above helps. If it does not, then let us try this. In Dutch if you want, describe in your own words
what you are doing in much more detail and post screenshots of the areas involved on your Premiere Elements 12.
Then I will deal with interpreting what you wrote.
We want you to succeed. So whatever way works, that is the way to go.
The answers are in the details.
    Thank you.

  • I am getting some frames half black after rendering on AE CC using W7 processor I7. Who can help?

I am getting some frames half black after rendering on AE CC using W7 processor I7. Who can help?

Nobody without further information. What is in your comp? Any footage? If so, what format and codec? What format and codec are you render into? What are your computer's specs?
And all of this info too.

  • Super thin black border showing around video when I zoom out or pan the video...

    Hi all,
I have a video I'm making in Adobe Premier Pro CS5.5. I am using 2 video slots in Premiere Pro's sequence area. A white image is in "Video 1" spot and a video is in"Video 2" spot.
The white image in "Video 1" slot is the exact same color as the background color of the video in "Video 2" slot.
The reason for this is when I zoom the video out or pan it slightly off the screen I just want it to look like the video is moving (and I don't want anyone to be able to see the black backdrop that is normal background color on a Premiere Pro video).
After I go to effects control, and change the position and scale of the video; the video scales out and pans over fine ...however, the border of the video shows slightly ...even flickers a little. Is there a way to get rid of this thin black border line? ..So no one can tell where the video (in "video 2" slot) ends and where that white background I have in "video 1" is ...by removing this flickering border?
Here's a Screencast of the issue. I point at that thin border I'm talking about when I pan the video over (which reveals the white backdrop):http: Screencast.com/t/45xp0bQ82f
Thank you so much for any help you can provide. I appreciate it.

  • Is there a global setting to turn off black border on swfs?

    Hi there
I started this question in the Framemaker forum as I assumed it was a Framemaker issue..
see: FM12 Imported Captivate 8 files, how do I get rid of the black border?
but it seems to be an Acrobat thing, so am trying here as I've not used Acrobat much.
My problem is that all my swfs (imported into Framemaker 12 and then saved as pdf), show up with an unwanted black border around them. So there is this dialogue box which comes up when you right click an imported swf... and I can turn off the border on individual swfs after the pdf is produced. Could anyone tell me if there is a global equivalent or a way to stop them happening in the first place? Would be very much appreciated.

You need to file a feature request for Framemaker - it doesn't use Acrobat to create PDFs. The default for embedding Rich Media in Acrobat is 'no border', but the FM team clearly have another opinion on what their users want.

  • Black border around jpegs even tho frame size set right

    Hi
Can a friendly soul please tell me why my images are not the same width as my video footage.
The project is set to "standard" at 720 by 576.
When I set up the image prior to importing to CS3 i make sure they are the same 720 by 576.
Yet after theyve been imported i get a virtical black border around the left and right side. the pic is too narrow.
Experimenting with the sizes before import it seems 769 by 576 is about the right size.
But now the image (its a movie title) moves ever so slightly as i play the timeline. Its the first clip in the project.
Images are created in photoshop and then saved as Jpegs.
Video footage is DV PAL quality filmed on a Sony pd150 camcorder (this is a GREAT bit of kit btw)
    thanks in advance
