Black Flashes in Export

Hey everyone,
I am trying to finish up a project, and I cannot seem to come up with a solution for these single black frames that are coming up in between each cut in my quicktime movie. Right now I am exporting under
DV NTSC 48 KhZ.
I initially thought the problem was the fact that I had some audio at 44.1 khz, but even after I changed all of the audio clips to 48 khz, the flashes were still there. My sequence settings are:
HD (1440x1080) (16:9)
Pixel Aspect Ratio: HD (1440x1080)
My last idea was that this problem was the result of a couple frames I altered in Photoshop to create muzzle flash effects.
Any ideas on how to properly export this thing would really be appreciated.

The color being represented is pure black, so monitor calibration can't be the answer.
Why not? You are making a mess of your Gamma values and the differences you see are at least in part a result of missing calibration as well as some formats being Gamma tagged and others not. This extends to both imported footage and its interpretation as well as output. That aside, for broadcast at SD resolutions there is no pure black - the old rules of broadcast safe colors still apply and usualyl that means the you only get a dark grey. On top of it, many CoDecs stil lassume these limited ranges and will equally compress the color range to fall within these specs. So in summary, the behavior could be perfectly correct. You are just not providing enough info to make any sense of what you are actually doing.

  • Partial black flashes/stripes on exported m4v and sometimes mov????

    Hi everyone,
    I just bought a Canon HF100 full HD camcorder and a Class 6 8GB SDHC card which according to Canon manual should be fast enough to record full HD by the camera.
    So the question is that in iMovie 08 where I've imported it at full resolution - when I export it using Share -> Export Movie and select either Medium or Large i get black flashes or stripes in the output video - note that they don't go across the whole video though
    I didn't think I was getting it using Share -> Export using Quicktime but I just saw one today that only has 1 black flash but it's there
    Playback in imovie shows no black flashes at all.
    I've tried exporting all sizes and all qualities and see black flashes in all qualities and sizes..
    Just wondering what it might be caused by???
    Thanks
    Jason

    Problem was a faulty logic board, apple replaced it under warranty

  • Black flash frames introduced upon QT export

    I'm having an issue where upon exporting a QT of my sequence, it introduces one-frame black flash frames in between every cut, both in the QT and in the sequence. This is a standard DV NTSC 48kHz sequence. Running FCP 6.0.5. Any ideas?

    Is this in your timeline too? Zoom in between two cuts to see if there is a gap between clips.

  • Black Flashes in Premiere and on Final DVD

    I was not too concerned about the situation in the Source Monitor when about every 4 seconds I see a very fast, but obvious (nonetheless) Black Flash/Flicker on the screen. I thought it may be just a playback/RAM thing and that it would not go onto the final DVD burn.  However, that was not the case, the Export, Burning and Playback of the DVD carried the Black Flash over. I am using Premiere Pro CC 2014. The footage is a mix of a Canon XH A1 and a Panasonic GH3. I have tried Square Pixels, NTSC and just a host of things that I lost track on, but it is annoying and obvious and has to be fixed. I am hopeful that there is an easy answer -- Please Help!!!

    Same issue here exporting to MPEG2. I'm using Premiere Pro CC 2014 on a Mac Book Pro. My source video is AVCHD. I'm getting a frame of black at a regular interval of 1 second.This only occurs with Premiere Pro CC 2014. My older version of Premiere Pro CC exports it fine.

  • Black flashes on render

    Hi! I am rendering a sequence with premiere and I am having black flashes on the final movie.  I tried different formats, but I don't know what it is.  It looks like a random black frame every 10 seconds more or less...
    I have my files on an external hard drive connnected through usb.  Could it be something related to that?

    Hi there - I am having a similar issue - black flashes on my exported video that are not there when I watched it on the timeline.
    Here is my info:
    1) Premiere Pro CC 2014
    2) MacBook Pro
    3) Intel Iris Pro Graphics
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M graphics processor with 2GB of GDDR5 memory
    4) Mpg4
    If you have any info, I'd appreciate it! THANKS!

  • Html link to specific photo in flash web export

    I want to send someone links to specific images in my flash web export. I know I can direct them to the source image file, but I want them to see it in the flash export interface. Is there a way I can make a duplicate copy of the index.html and edit the start image and save as another name, or would I have to copy and alter the flash file?

    You can't do a direct link to the image witht the built-in Flash movie. If you need to do this often, consider getting the SlideShowPro web engine and switching on "permalinks".
    But to resolve your existing problem, it is fiddly. I assume you want the rest of the web gallery to work, so copy the index.html file, and then look for a folder called resources\mediaGroupData and make a copy of the file group.xml, so you have two xml files in that folder. What you would need to do is edit this "copy.xml" so it only lists your picture. Then back to your copy of index.html and replace any references to group.xml with copy.xml. I told you it was fiddly!

  • Flash Album Exporter in iFrame problem. Greybox not working as expected

    Hello all,
    I've searched and I can't find the solution or any info on the problem elsewhere.
    I've used Flash Album Exporter for the grey box effect. This appears perfectly here
    http://web.me.com/james.veitch/BoxReviews.index.html
    However, it's aligned to the left hand side; I can't get it to centre and there's more text I want to put on. So I thought I'd put it in an iFrame. The moment I do that, things go wrong. Here
    http://web.me.com/james.veitch/KeatsinHampstead/Home2.html
    For some reason it won't load the images. What am I doing wrong? Also, is there any way to change the thumbnail images?
    Thanks in advance,
    James.

    James:
    First, I can't get your first link to work. Removing the ".index.html" from the link does get the flash to load and play.
    For some reason that particular flash presentation won't work in an iFrame/HTML snippet. Have you tried using a different FAE theme to see if you can get it to work in the iFrame. I've been able to get several to work in my demo sites: SimpleViewer and Flash Album Exporter and Flash Album Exporter Postcard and AutoViewer Slideshow Themes.

  • Flash album exporter plug-in

    I used to use Flash Album Exporter happily until the last update of Aperture - i'm now running 2.1.4. Now when i try to export with it aperture quits. Has anyone got any ideas on how to make 2.1.4 play nice with Flash Album Exporter, or have any alternative means to create a flash photo gallery from Aperture?
    Thanks!

  • Black flash in iMovie template

    I'm using iMovie 10.0.3.  I'm using the Retro template to make a video.  Near the end of the template, there is a millisecond of black video that I can't seem to get rid of.  It flashes between two "Title" clips.  I placed an iMovie "Transition" clip between the two "Title" clips... didn't work.  Black flash still there.  I've changed the length of the title clips... didn't work.  Black flash still there.  Any ideas how to get rid of the black flash?  There must be a simple answer... or perhaps not.
    Thank you.

    QTpro is able to convert some flash files into .dv... but most people are not satisfied by quality....
    some bravehearted simply use screen recorders as SnapzPro to "film" any flash playing on screen..........

  • Flash Album Exporter

    Has anyone used the Flash Album Exporter to put slideshows on iWeb?
    I use Aperture and have create a slideshow by exporting it to the Flash Album Eporter plugin. However, I'm not sure how to incorporate it into iWeb. Is it even possible?

  • Flash Video exporter for CS 4

    Is there a flash video Exporter for CS4 on a Mac and if so where can I download this?
    Yhanks
    Jeff

    Thanks for getting back so quickly,
    Here is my problem. I have 2 Macs, a desktop and a laptop. The laptop
    running Tiger (operating system) and Adobe CS3 which is fine for
    conversion through Quicktime to .flv but on my desktop which is
    running Leopard (OS) and Adobe CS4 I cannot do this type of conversion
    without going into Adobe flash encoder which requires 1 more step.
    I looked up Flash video exporter on the Adobe site (see link below)
    and this component is only available for CS3. I want to know if it is
    available for CS4 and for Mac.

  • Flash CC, export video w/AS & sound

    Hi, I have 2 frames in the Stage.
    Frame 1 has a movieclip with an animation inside, it loops.
    Also, I have this code:
    import flash.media.Sound;
    import flash.media.SoundChannel;
    import flash.events.Event;
    var sound:Sound = new Music();
    var soundChannel:SoundChannel = sound.play(0,1);
    soundChannel.addEventListener(Event.SOUND_COMPLETE, complete);
    stop();
    function complete(event:Event):void
              play();
    Frame 2: just this code:
    stop();
    If I export it as a SWF, it will play my song, show my animation looping and at the end of the song will reach and stop on frame 2.
    If I try to export this as a Video to upload it to youtube, the video is just 2 seconds long, no sound at all.
    If I export it setting a time limit instead of "when final frame is reached"... it captures the animation but no sound at all.
    Should I use Flash CS6? or am I doing something wrong?

  • Premiere Pro CS6 error - black flashes on frames - Basic 3D bug?

    I am currently working on a lyric music video which incorporates video and still image backgrounds with lyrics superimposed over the top in time to the music. I'm adding the lyrics by creating images with the words in Photoshop and then animating them (scrolling, spins, wipes, etc) in Premiere. All was going well until I tried a recent render and noitced that some effects were showing flashes of black on screen during text movement (flips or twists seem to be the culprit). I figured it was a render error but after trying a few different output methods and not curing the problem I realised I was getting the issue on the timeline when scrubbing through frame by frame. I've attached some images to demonstrate the problem. If I open an earlier saved version of the project then effect is fine on render and on scrubbing through the timeline. Have my later saved project files got corrupted at some point? If it was a software or hardware issue I would have expected it to have been happening from the outset but this effect has been fine until now. Is it fixable or do I have to go back a few versions and redo my recent work?
    Ok I've just realised while grabbing the attached images that the black frames appear to be occurring on the first frame of each new text still image - I don't know if that helps with identifying the problem?
    Ok another update - it appears to be the Basic 3D video effect that is causing the problem - if I remove that and have the text just appear then the black flashes go. But as I said above it worked fine in earlier project versions so it can work and isn't an inherent fault so I really hope I can find a solution and not have to remove the effect.
    Really hoping someone can solve this for me, it's only a hobby video not a job but I've put a lot of hours in and am nearly finished so would be pretty bummed if I can't resolve the problem.
    Thanks :-)

    An update - this is definitely looking like a bug!
    Each of the words is a separate Photoshop image cropped to the size of the word and I have then used the Basic 3D effect to rotate each image in turn from -90 degrees to 0 degrees so it appears on screen. Yesterday I tried changing the settings for the first clip and the black square disappeared if I reduced the range to -63 degrees to 0 degrees.
    Success! Or so i thought. I moved the the next image and changed the range to -63 degreees to 0 degrees but the black square remained. In face I had to reduce the start rotation down to -58 degrees before the black square disappeared from that image. This progression continued with each subsequent clip needing a futher reduction the starting rotation so by the time I got to the last image I the start rotation had to come down from -90 degrees to around -20 degrees.
    Defintely a bug? (It works the same whether I was using negative or positive start angles btw).
    I'll try using a different file format for the word images in case it's an issue with Photoshop image

    Scroll Down - its about mid page
    This is on the intro page:
    Note: You must have Flash MX Professional 2004 installed on
    your machine to use the Flash Video Exporter with your video
    editing application. The only exception is using the exporter in
    Demo Mode.
