Black frames after export in Premiere CC 2014

Hi,
I am getting black frames in my exported video from Premiere CC 2014 and Media Encoder CC 2014. This is my first project in the CC 2014 suite, but in CC I never had this problem. When exporting directly from Premiere or queued from Media Encoder, black frames appear at random through out my video. I am using presets H264 HD 720 29.97 and Vimeo 720 29.97. My sequence is ProRes 422 1080 29.97. I am downscaling the final product for online.
I am making no changes to the process at all. Both formats of h264 give me black frames. Has anyone else had this issue? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have also now exported to QuickTime ProRes 720 29.97 and H264 1080 20.97 and still get black frames in the final export. I am using Premiere v8.1 and Media Encoder 8.1.0.122.

  • Black frames after export media

    Hi All,
I have problem with Adobe Premiere and exporting media.
When I export Media (MXF IMX50 8 audio channels) I have black frames in my exported video clip. (It happens for 10% of exported video clips).
On my time line I just trim video clip on begging and on the end. There is no additional effects.
Can you help me with this?

  • Black frames in exported slideshow

    Hi All.
I made up a slideshow of around 250 photos in iPhoto 08 with page flip transitions and shared it with iDVD.
The DVD started out OK but after around 40 photos there was a blank (black) frame. This occurred about 3 more times with the shortest interval being around 10 pictures. I sat through the start of the slideshow in iPhoto and it repeated it there too.
There are no blank photos or missing photos, all the photos have the same timing/transition, all are .jpg files and were taken with 3 different cameras on a family break. It would be an exercise in tedium to sit and identify if it occurs when there is a change of camera - and since they are ordered by date/time rather than by photographer a quick calculation suggests there would be more blanks.
    Any suggestions?
Originally, I was going to export it to QuickTime and drag that to iDVD. Would that have made a difference?
It's no big deal as the 2 recipients of the DVD are pleased anyway but I'm curious.
    Thanks

    Dusty:
Check on of the photos that give you a blank slide in iDVD by trying to edit it in iPhoto. See if is displays correctly in the edit or full screen mode.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.

  • Help Needed : Video Glitch after exporting from Premiere Pro CC

    Hi all ,
I have been experiencing this issue for sometime now. I occasionally encounter a video glitch after exporting a video from Premiere Pro CS6 or CC. Sometimes it happens in my NLE timeline , which I have to remove the affected clip that has the glitch/flicker problem from my bin and re-import the clip from my original source, which solves the problem.
However , the worst part is when the glitch/flicker happens when I have already exported the video when everything seems fine in the timeline of Premiere . My sequence settings do match with the clip . This issue happens intermittently as I always have to hope for the best when the video exports.
Here is an Example of what I mean, the glitch/flicker happens at 3:28 of the music video.
Hopefully those who have the same issue can share how to troubleshoot this problem . Thank you.
    Regards,
    Elias Lo

  • Keep getting black slides after exporting a time-lapse in LightRoom

No matter what camera I use, I continue to get black slides in between frames of timelapses I make using Lightroom 5. I'm using a plug in that allows me to export the slideshow at 30fps. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!

Me too. Would love to find an answer to this. As far as I can tell it's not to do with viewing it on a screen at the wrong fps, Lightroom is actually inserting black frames between the frames we put in...

  • Black video after exporting sequence in FCP7 - help please!

    hello,
So i'm not doing anything new - i've edited my clips as usual, settings are all as usual, but after i export the finished sequence and try to play it back, all i get is a black screen, with audio, for the entire duration of the sequence.
in the canvas it plays back fine, theres nothing to render, i've tried both with H.264 and Apple prores 422 HQ and nothing, i have tried to export as QT and also using QT conversion, checked the video settings there, all good, the video is rendered, also i checked the video processing in settings, used both render in RGB and render in 8 bit YUV, but no luck.
and i dont think it has to do with in and out points because the black video I get IS the duration of the audio, and the whole sequence for the matter.
The only thing I am wondering about is that I added some png files to make "gifs" over the video - I exported this same video BEFORE adding the pngs and everything was fine, but it is after adding these still images that the whole video goes black after exporting. But I have done similar projects before, with the same type of files, and I have never gotten this problem.
note; there are only a few of these still images scattered over the sequence, the majority of the video doesnt have these pngs over, but it is the whole of the video that goes black after exporting.
Can someone help me please, i dont know what else to give a go at and i cant find answers to my problem online!
    many thanks.

Could be your sequence is corrupt.  Create a new sequence with the same settings and copy everything from the old sequence to the new sequence.
If you need help with this post back.

  • Interlacing in freeze-frame after export

    Hi,
I've come up against this problem. It looks fine while using PE, but after exporting the freeze-frame looks terrible?
    Anthony

    Hi Steve,
I tried a number of times to create the right preset but to no avail.
The 4 options I get in advanced settings, after selecting 'Share/Personal Computer/Still Photo' are the following:
    1. The type of file (jpeg, tiff, etc)
    2. Frame rate (I leave as is)
    3. Progressive/Upper/Lower
    4. A number of choices, the first of which is square pixels.
There doesn't seem to be any place for 'deinterlacing'
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

  • Missing Frames after exporting a video with Premiere Pro cc

Hi guys, i was working on adobe premiere pro cc (342) at work, is the first time i use cc,
by the way, 40 minutes mp4 video(h264/aac,720p), a video of 100 clips,50 images(title image), fade in/out (each clip), and other stuff( all the clips are mp4).
i go for exporting in h.264/aac, maximum quality rendeing, and after a perfect exporting(premiere pro cs6 takes 7 hours, premiere pro cc takes only 25-30 minutes, shocking) i see that the exported video is fantastic, but some video frames are missing(the image/title stille remains there), and sometimes even the image/title disappear for some frames, sometimes il like a intermitted flashing.
i use mpe with my HD7970, is the first time i use it, and during the exporting my AMD FX8350 runs over the 90% of use, it's ok for me, but i want to use ppcc and exporting without problems.
    can you help me?
    sry for my bad english.

I've never seen an export come out with frames missing.  Try turning of hardware acceleration.

  • PREMIERE PRO cs3 & cs5 - audio out of synch by 6 frames after export

i have never had formal training on adobe premiere, and therefore when i am working with my students it is basically down to expereince i have gained by myself.
with cs3, we always worked on the basis that it would always export the audio out of synch with the video by 6 frames so they would routinely have the audio tracks on two separate tracks, one for editing and one for exporting which was offset +6 frames.
when we made the transition to cs5 and new kit i was stunned to see that the synch issues were still there. and since a quick google yielded very little evidence that others shared this issue i thought it must be something i am doing wrong after years of bad habits learned on the fly.
so here is my workflow, where am i going wrong and why is it always out of synch?
    open cs5
choose an editing format. (this varies but the synch issue is always the same)
    import content
    edit
export (normally as a microsoft avi, with no compression which i later convert into quicktime compressed with ANIMATION)
i teach on an animation course so normally the content we import is a sequence of stills such as jpg or tiff, but we also capture stuff on dslrs too
the timeline colour is normally yellow, which is fine at standard def, but larger def we will render workspace to turn it green
the editing format depends on our target format. the current project is 720 hd
the export as avi with no compressor i suspect to be a weak link in this work flow, but the problem remains if i export as anything else so....
now as an additional point on the matter, the current project we have had people miming to an audio clip which we played live for their performance. the audio blips were aligned on the timeline with the audio blips from the edit
but after rendering out, the footage is out of synch by 6 frames. it has always been this way.
any thoughts? i know i must be doing something wrong, but the issue is consistant across different computer, running different OS and different versions of PREM...so either i am doing it wrong or premiere is fundamentally broke.....i suspect its me though

is there a logical reason for opting for a preset which is the lowest common denominator rather than a highest? is it not better to work at the best res possible?
does it matter either way? because i have often created 1080p content and worked in a 1024/576 edit environment only to later export at 1080p with no loss of quality?
i create the avi and then open this in quicktime to export to the desired formats.
now that you posted that comment i cant believe i have never done the simple trouble shoot of 'at what point does it go out of synch'
files are too big to playback uncompressed though.
i know it is a workflow issue and not a prem issue because no one else seems to have the problem.
im going to run some tests
    thanks, will report back

  • Black screen after sleep Mavericks security update 2014-002

I get a black screen for about 10-20 seconds on waking from computer sleep/display sleep after installing security update 2014-002 for Mavericks. The computer is awake, because I can click and change windows, pointer/cursor placement, etc., from before the time the computer went to sleep. Never had this problem before this latest update.

If the resets don't help try the following in order as necessary:
1 - boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down), select Disk Utility and repair both the disk and disk permissions. Reboot normally and check for improvements.
2 - boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down) and reinstall the system.

  • Chapter markers don't appear in Encore after Export from Premiere

I have to admit that I am really frustrated by this whole Adobe Cloud. Every time I 'upgrade' to the latest version, there is some new bug that REALLY hampers my workflow, and in the meantime I find no new features that are really all that useful to me right now.
Here is the latest: After creating chapter markers in Premiere and exporting the timeline as an m2v, I bring the file into Encore and none of my chapter markers are there. This worked up to two days ago right before I 'upgraded'. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Also, if I export a file that uses the Warp Stabilizer effect, the word "Stabilizing" appears on the output during any clips that use it. This was a little embarrassing to discover after I sent out a DVD to a client. I have found a work around for this, but seriously WTF??
I don't feel confident that I should ever upgrade any more, but then what am I paying for?
Does anyone know if it is possible to revert to an old version once you've upgraded.

I am on a Mac 10.9.3, but I don't think that would have anything to do with it. I did output an .mp4 last night and brought it into Encore and the cahpter markers came in fine. So it must be something about the m2v file it doesn't like. Obviously, .mp4 is not the ideal way to bring the file into Encore because then the program has to transcode again, but yet another work around I have to come up with to make up for the program's shortcomings.
I will open another thread about the "Stabilizing" issue.
    Thanks.

  • White text appears black/grey after export to PDF - but only on a PC!

I use Pages to make flyers in A4-format. But 8 out of 10 times I make one, convert it to PDF and send it to my boss via Mail, I get a reply where he says that everything looks good but the text.
I have a colored background or image with white text on top in its own layer.
This problem has been tauting me for several weeks now, and I thought I had the soloution recently when I started to make sure that the text layer where brought to the front (top layer). But still i get the message back that the text is either black or dark grey and can´t be read on his PC. It looks fine on my Mac, but not on his XP/Vista computer.
    - I usually convert using the "Better" compression mode.
    - I tried to convert it using Print - Print to PDF but the problem persists.
    - I have deleted the plist-file as well. Same problem.
But since this doesnt happen with all my flyers, I am beginning to think that there is something I am doing "wrong" while making the flyer or that there is some kind of "rule" that I dont know about. Or is it an unstable PDF-export algorithm?
    Can anybody help me please?

  • Plugins + Mediacore disappear after most recent Premiere CC 2014 update?

Just updated to the most recent version of Premiere and when I loaded a project, I found that all of my plugins had disappeared. Thinking it was just a Mediacore issue, I went to Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-Ins and found that my 8.0 folder was missing! And more than that, almost all of my plugins (Red Giant, Twixtor, FilmConvert) were missing from the 7.0 folder!
Any idea of what's going on and what I can do to fix it?
    **EDIT/UPDATE:
Anticipating that I might be instructed to re-do my search for the mediacore by starting at Macintosh HD (Instead of user library), I found an interesting (but unhelpful) difference from when I started at my user Library - I also found my plugins folders for CS5 Through CS6, which contained all of my plugins.
The 7.0 folder was still empty, and the 8.0 folder was still missing. See screenshots:

    Sort of found a fix:
    - Simply moved everything from my CS6 Mediacore into the 7.0 Mediacore, and that put all of my plugins back into CC 2014.2
    - Had to reinstall FilmConvert, which isn't too bad, but it's annoying that I have to update all of my RedGiant plugins again. May as well reinstall everything.
It's weird how the 7.0 folder now communicates with CC 2014.2, and its super inconvenient that it basically got rid of all my plugins post-CS6. Luckily just reinstalling to the 7.0 seems to work.
