Black frames on the screen

Please can anybody help me to find a solution to this problem? Since a couple of days black frames appears on the screen, they're the same frames that appear when a text box is selected, but they also appear around icons on the desktop, around the browsers buttons etc. but also randomly in bigger size somewhere in the middle of the screen with nothing in it.
It appears like something which have been clicked even if it's not.
It started apparently with no reason after switching the computer on.
Thanks a lot.

Open the Universal Access preference. Be sure the option "Voice Over" is turned OFF. Click on the Voiceover Utility button. In the dialog click on the Display tab and uncheck the option "Show Voiceover Cursor."

First off, try a reset of the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, see if the problem persists.

I believe your only option will be to get Apple to replace the screen for you, which won't be cheap.  If the machine is still covered under warranty, you could try to push the case that the screen must be defective for a bug to get in there.  Apple has been known to do free out-of-warranty service in some pretty unbelievable circumstances, that that is at their discretion, so be very pleasant and polite so they'll like you and want to help you out.    But be prepared to have to pay for the repair.
    Good luck!

  • I have a very tiny, fuzzy black speck on the screen of my Macbook Pro 15".

I have a very tiny, fuzzy black speck on the screen of my Macbook Pro 15". It doesn't resemble dead pixels I've encountered in the past (it is only visible behind a white or brightly colored background), and I'm positive it isn't sitting on the surface. The computer is only a year and a half old and my software is up to date.

    Hi austinbread,
It is hard to tell exactly what your issue with the MacBook Pro’s display is, but it is possible that there is a pixel anomaly. See this article for further information -

So what do you want us to do? Apple has already told you and there is nothing anyone here can do about your problem as no one here works for Apple.

  • How can i get rid of a black speck behind the screen?

Brand new, quad 2.8 GHZ Intel iMac. Beautiful. But has a black speck in the screen. How on earth would i get rid of this? I'm quite positive it's not on the screen. i've wiped it very firmly w/ the cloth provided. the thing is simply on the other side. Ideas?

    Hi Peter,
If you can take it back to the Apple store (assuming you bought it from one). I had similar with a 24" iMac last year and they just replaced it there and then no questions, no arguing. They even transferred all my Data to the new machine. It was hassle free and I walked out of the store with a brand new replacement iMac set up like my original machine.
Don't try doing anything to it yourself if it is brand new, it will void your warranty.

  • I get a black frame at the head using image sequence every time

I am using tif frames number 1-xxxxxxxx and each conversion adds black frames to the Qtime movies when there are none in any of my sequences.

Hi guys. So we did some testing. Using the original presets, it works. However, if I change the quality settings in any configuration, it will always output the black frames at the head. It can be any combination or just one setting adjustment and it will add the black frames.
However, we found that if the sequence is renumbered to start from frame '0' ( this was discovered by accident ), then it will work, regardless of the quality adjustments.
The quality settings I am referring to are 'Resize Filter', 'Retime Quality', 'Adaptive Detail' etc etc. If any one of these are changed from default settings, it will add the black frames.
We can only presume this to be a bug? The big issue though, is that we have hundreds of clips that start at frame 1. We can of course not change the default settings but that means we cannot make adjustments.
    Cheers

  • MacBook Pro having weird black noise on the screen.  Anyone seen this befor

So I have a 15 inch MacBook Pro 2.2 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 gigs of ram. Recently the DVD drive has died on it but more importantly it has started having weird black things on the screen and it will freeze right up. It has been doing this more and more. It will do it when I have had it running for a long time and everything is hot, it will do it when It has just been sitting there in a screen saver doing nothing, and it will do it when I have just had it on for a few min right out of my bag. I am running Snow leopard on it. I have never seen a machine do this before in my 10 years of having Apple Laptops. Anyone have a similar experience? I have a little video of what it's doing on youtube.

  • Ipod Touch, black line on the screen

    Hello.
I recently went on holiday to Corfu. I took my ipod with me, and while there, noticed one day that it had developed a black line across the screen. Even when turned off, you can still see it.
It doesn't effect the touch screen from working, it just doesn't look so good.
Is there a way to fix this?
    Thanks

You may want to remove the Invisible Shield from the unit before taking it to the Apple Store. If they end up giving you a new touch, they likely won't replace/reimburse you for the Shield. If you have the Shield removed, at least you stand a chance in getting it replaced by sending it back to Zagg (you need to send your original Shield back to them to get a replacement). You can just send it back as being damaged and should get a brand new replacement which you can then use on the new touch. You cannot re-apply an already used Shield.
Tip: if you get a new touch and are waiting for a replacement Shield, keep the original protective plastic film on the touch until you get the Shield. I'm sure you know that the back of the touch will get scratched if you even look at it the wrong way.

  • Black ink inside the screen

Hi, I bought this phone some months ago and it started to show some black ink inside the screen out of nowhere, and it's getting bigger and bigger.   What can I do?

    Hello
Did you drop it? .....unless someone did and didn't tell you.
Looks like the liquid inside the display is seeping through hairline crack. Best to replace the screen. That is if screens are still made they way I remember them.

  • I'm getting a series of black lines on the screen in Safari

This just sort of started out of the blue today.  There are a bunch of black lines on the screen, and when I try to scroll, the lines just scroll along with it.  When I look at things via an app, there are no lines, making me think it's a software issue with Safari.  Anybody have this problem or know how to make it go away?

Using iCloud to sync bookmarks between your Mac and iPad?
If so, on the iPad tap Settings > iCloud. Swich Safari off then back on.
On your Mac, open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Safari then reselect it.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync your bookmarks.
If you are using iCloud, don't sync Safari bookmarks on iTunes. That could be why the bookmark tabs got emptied out.
