Black Friday or Cyber Monday? Also, Samsung Stratosphere and age.

Will the Samsung Stratosphere be available for free on Cyber Monday as well as Black Friday? and the white version?because I am only 15 and I am sure they will not let a 15 year old just walk up and get one, but online they would. Can A 15 y.o. go into the store and pick up an upgrade?

  • Black Friday and GCU

Just wondering if the GCU 20% off will work on the black friday game deals.
Also I received a welcome coupon packet with a 10% off a digital gaming purchase. Does this coupon stack with the GCU 20% making it 30%?

    Hi lastone & himeko123,
Good question! Gamers' Club Unlocked benefits do, indeed, stack with prices and offers available Thanksgiving through the Monday after Thanksgiving. We'll have more information for members in the coming days though, so make sure to keep tabs on the My Best Buy Gamers' Club board for updates.
Thanks for being My Best Buy members!

  • Samsung mobile black friday site broke my Safari Browser with email link

I went to view their Black Friday deals in an email and now their mobile site is asking for a password each time I open Safari. I can't even close the window or press cancel . If I press cancel Samsung mobile site just asks me for a password again. Now I am writing this to everyone at apple on my google chrome app. Samsung sabotaged my safari app and I need to know how to fix it.

Apple does not participate on this forum. We are just other users like you.
Quit the Safari app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or ....Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Or ...Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

First thing to do is reset the USB chip set on the mother board. Unfortunately, when you power down the computer there is always a bit of power still applied to the motherboard to keep things alive and this usually includes powering the ports to do stuff like detect when a device is plugged in or wants to wake up the computer. The downside of this is when a bus/port chipset goes into a weird state, locks up, etc., simply power cycling (shutdown & restart) the computer won't work.
So first thing to try is resetting the chipset and to do this you have to power down the computer and completely unplug the computer from the wall power (unplug the power cord to your Mac). Also unplug everything from the Mac's ports (USB, FW, Ethernet, etc.) to make sure no parasitic power is still there to keep the chipset alive. Now let it sit for a minute (give those big power caps in there time to discharge). Now plug in the keyboard & mouse, plug the power cord back in, & start up the Mac. Now see if your USB ports work any better.
    Best of luck!

  • Black Friday TV Deals

So I'm thinking of upgrading to a bigger size TV.  Wanted opinions on the deals for Black Friday.  I was looking at the SHARP 60" LED 1080P 120hz for $999.99.  But I'm kinda dissapointed that SEARS has same set right now for same price.  There are also reviews suggesting picture is not as great as higher 'SMART' model.  Would've hoped for a better Black Friday deal as price is same as SEARS.  I'm also looking at the Toshiba 50" LED 1080P 60hz for $399.99.  I'm not too thrilled about the brand and specs, but seems like a good deal at that price.  The other deal is the Panasonic 55" LED 1080P 120hz SMART 3D at $899.99.  Bundled soundbar and wireless subwoofer for additional $150.  I don't HAVE to have SMART/3D but it seems like good option at that price.  What do you all think?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The Toshiba TV may SEEM like a good deal - only problem is Best Buy's Black Friday ad is deceptive.  Best Buy doesn't even have any 40" Toshiba HDTVs.   NONE!!  Channel 19 News (Cleveland) reported on one poor soul who started camping out at Best Buy last Thursday.  That poor customer was talking about the money he 'knows' he'll save on the 40" Toshiba by being the first in line for Black Friday.  BB has known for days they don't even have the product but hasn't bothered to post this information at the door.   I'm not wasting my time or $ shopping at Best Buy.  Wal-Mart .... here I come!!

  • Guy with "VZ Corporate Source" at WPcentral says Lumia coming to VZ on Black Friday

So this guy is said that his source his saying VZ will have the it by black friday after AT&T has sold enough with their exclusivity deal. Instead of having to read the the whole thread, I am giving you the links to where he comes up and talks about it. Read the whole post. I'll quote some of the main points just for a head up.
What does your source at VZW do?.
Corporate contracts.  Negotiates contracts and deployment for larger Verizon customers like Clearchannel, etc.  He knows where Verizon is going because he's kept in the loop to prepare his big customers.
But expect a HUGE Black Friday Windows Phone push from Verizon with some crazy prices for those who want to go to a VZW store on that day, including early contract discounts and incentives to trade in iPhones and Android devices.

Just got info that Verizon will not likely get the 920 but a variation of it with a different number like the 820.  I guess the frequencies between the two will be different.  May be to prevent people from jumping between carriers with the phone - no idea
    http://forums.wpcentral.com/1710903-post32.htm
    Post #3
What I do know is that Verizon is also giving something to get it.  They want it badly.  A bunch of the corporate people were given a demonstration of the Lumia 920 by Nokia and they were apparently blown away by it.  My source was not there to see it, but his boss was and the word was the VZW people felt this phone could be a game changer if marketed correctly between the NFC, wireless charging, the camera tech on it, and the mapping.  Nokia showed them the JBL wireless charging speaker system too.
    http://forums.wpcentral.com/1710981-post41.htm

Look... You're yelling at one of the guys who is trying to provide information. That won't help you at all.
It is no secret that Verizon is one of the most anti-consumer companies out there, is it? Bing it. Verizon is anti-consumer, anti-phone manufacturer, anti-anyone who doesn't wear a Verizon name badge, and they're probably anti-half of THEM. Does it really surprise you that we can't get information out of them?
I have reached out to execs in the past as well as currently to try to make them realize that this is not constructive, but the reality is that Sprint has the best customer service in the industry, and at least in my area, the worst coverage. This is how you can treat people when you have them over a barrel. I can go to ATT, who has just as bad customer service, and if we end up not getting a 920 caliber device, I probably will, but I am still under contract for a couple more months for two of the three devices on my plan, so I will wait until they either expire or I decide I just don't want to wait any longer, then pay the ETF.
Until they open up, how about exercising some courtesy and being kind to those of us who ARE trying to pass along information to the rest of you. Otherwise, I'd rather you hunt ot down yourself.

  • Black Friday 2014 Pricing

I have single app (Audition) subscription and I subscribe to the Photography Program. I just logged on and noticed that for Black Friday, individual users (such as myself) can get the entire CC suite for just $29.99 a month. How do I subscribe to this without also keeping my existing subscriptions? Also, if I cancel my existing subscriptions, won't that penalize me, even though I immediately sign up for the CC suite? Please let me know.

    1. You can cancel the present CC & buy the complete CC, the cancellation fee is waived off for such cancellation(you need to contact Adobe Support for that)
    2. You can buy the Black Friday deal with another valid Adobe ID.

  • Black Friday Insignia 39" LED 1080p 60Hz HDTV

So this a two part question:
This is my first back Friday that I want to take part of. They're two deals that interest me. The $179 40 inch Toshiba and the insignia 39" LED....
First, for people that have experience. I am looking to hop in line around 5 am on thanksgiving. With the new hours is that too late?
Also does anyone know the black Friday price for the Insignia?

I suggest you do regular surveillance of your store. If you've got a lot of time on your hands, log off immediately and get in line/start one.
    Disclosure: Former BBY employee.

  • Black Friday DISCOUNT

I am planing to go visit some of the Best buy stores for the Black Friday. But this is my first time doing this. Anybody knows how this is working, and where I can find the informations what will be on sale and what will be the price . ? Is there any magazine ?

    Hey olipetk,
Excellent questions, and ones that will probably generate a lot of buzz the closer we get to Thanksgiving!  Here's the basics:
Best Buy® stores will be open from 5:00am until 10:00pm on the day after Thanksgiving.
Many of the products advertised in the "Black Friday" flyer may be only offered in limited quantities.
Lines tend to form early, so be prepared!
In the past, Best Buy® has also offered various "doorbuster" promotions that are only valid for seven hours (from 5:00am until noon).  For more information on this year's sale however, you'll need to check your local newspaper on Thanksgiving day.
    Hope this helps you out!

  • Black friday gift card

I ordered my ipad Air last Black Friday through online.
They gave me $75 gift card after I purchased ipad Air to my e-mail address.
However, they charged $75 from my bank account too.
When I picked my ipad Air at the Apple Store, the assistances said that amount of fee is kind of holding and it will be back into my bank account later.
After 2 days, I checked my bank account, Apple still didn't give me back $75.
    What should I do?
Is there any people have same situation as me?

    Same story here:
Ordered iPad Air using apple.com on Black Friday.
Picked up in store on Dec 2. Store customer rep told me to expect $75 gift card via email.
Called up Apple customer service on Dec2 and told to wait for 1 day after store pickup.
Called up Apple customer service again on Dec 4, told that gift card did not "attach" (not sure what that means ....) to my initial order. This customer rep has started a "manual" process to get the gift card/credit to me and said that this can take up to *3 weeks*.
I have also been asked to call up again next week to make sure that things are on track.
I wonder why Apple could not give a physical gift card along with the iPad when I picked it up in store. Instead, I have already wasted 1 hour talking to Apple customer service and it is still not resolved. I am not sure how much more time I will need to spend to get this resolved.
IMO, this is not a very good customer experiencea and makes me wary of availing any future offers from Apple.

  • Black Friday Exchange

I ordered a Silver iPad Air on Black Friday. But now, I want Space Gray color. So when I pick up the iPad Air, can you ask for the Space Gray color without giving back the $75 gift coupon?

You need to call the store or Apple and ask. This is a user to user forum and no one here can give you an answer.
You can get information about an order you placed on the Apple Online Store through the Order Status page. If you prefer, you can also get order status or make changes by phone at 1-800-692-7753.

  • Black Friday - iphone 6 sale - clarification required

Black Friday add for iphone 6 (16 gb) says - $99.99 (with 2 year activation) after Trade in Gift card of $100.
So the price is $99.99 after trade in, what is special about this sale for Black Friday? It still seems to be $199.99 - $100 for trade in gift card.. let me know if I am reading it wrong and it will be $0 after BF promotion and trade in GC.
also, is the 64 GB also on sale on Black Friday? and how is it priced?

    Hello jayesh77-
It’s amazing to think that Thanksgiving and Black Friday are almost upon us.  Best Buy has a great selection of items this year in our Black Friday ad, and the iPhone 6 offer is just one of them!
I apologize for any confusion around this offer.  The iPhone 6 should be $99.99 with 2 year activation and the $100 trade-in gift card.  The iPhone 5s should be $1 with 2 year activation and the $100 trade-in gift card.  I do not know of any plans to have the 64GB version of the iPhone 6 on sale, but I would recommend periodically checking BestBuy.com as we will have many holiday ads between now and Christmas!
    Thanks for posting!
