Black Ink is not working - 3525 model

My black ink wont take on the paper, I have checked all my ink levels, they are all full. I have done several printhead cleanings, and I put the nozzle in hot water for 5 minutes, it is still not working. The other three colours take on the paper, its just the black that doesn't take. Please help me.

  • Black ink cartridge not working after replacing

    I replaced the black ink cartridge on my HP Photosmart 6510 because the print was getting faded.  Now the black will not print.  I used an original HP replacement cartridge and inserted it according to specifications.  I ran a test page and all colors printed except the black so I ran a printhead clean to no avail.  I wet a paper towel and touched it to the ink and it is not dried up.  Help!

    It is definitely a hardware problem then.  Try the steps in the document below.  If that doesn't work, you will need to contact tech support.  If you are still in warranty, HP may replace the printer at no cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link will take you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it out and it is processed, it will give you the printers warranty information, a case number, and the phone number to call.

  • Black Ink Cartridge not working HP Photosmart 5510 series

    I replaced my black ink cartridge in my HP Photosmart 5510 series printer and it doesn't print.  I don't know how long I had the cartridge, so I went and bought a brand new cartridge and it still won't print.  I did everything the help menu said and it still doesn't print.  I cleaned print head and copper on both the cartridge and print head, I did an automatic cartridge clean and nothing is working.  The printer recognizes that the cartridge is full---there are no error messages---but it won't print.  I also replaced the  three color cartridges and they print fine, but the black doesn't.  Any help would be appreciated.  My printer is fairly new, I haven't done a lot of printing with it and it was printing untill the black ran out and I had to replace the cartridge.

  • Hp5510 black ink still not working after two cartridge changes and hard reset

    Can you help?
    Our 5510 does not print the black ink, we have tried hard reset, two new genuine black printer cartridges and it still refuses to play ball. All other colours print ok.

    Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are running into some print quality issues on your HP Photosmart 5510, you are unable to print in black ink.
    I would like you to continue here: Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages, I understand you may have done some of these steps already but I need you to complete all steps in order to resolve the missing black issue you are experiencing.
    Please note: There are three printhead cleaning stages. Complete all three stages if necessary. If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last (third) cleaning stage to start the first stage of the cleaning process over again.
    If you are still unable to print in black ink, I suspect the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. Please let me know which Country/Region you are in as well as the product Warranty status: HP Warranty Checker

  • New black ink cartridge not working

    I have installed new ink cartridges and all the colour ones work but the black will not print out. Level of ink is fine, touching where the ink comes out is wet and black as is where it goes in on printer, but will not print out black at all only colours. Any ideas as to why?

  • Black ink cartridge not working

    My printer 3520 model, with cartridge 685 is not printing inspite of spending several hours doing various things. HP deskjet printers is a rejected case, as I suffer from heavy costs of printing and than this failure.. I have tried following: a. Tried printing from two laptopsb. Cleaned printer headc. Cleaned vent (actually it was good already, but still as guided)d. Attempted to print several copies of black and white, all of them came out white I have to take colour printout, which works. Cartridge is new. I am from India. Printer is more than a year old. Is there someone who can help with specific instructions and not generic steps written in help URLs with almost no affect.

    This article should help you get past the alignment failed if you are using the 6510 like the original poster. Give the steps a shot and let us know if it helps unless it is a different model number in which case let us know.

    Could you help me with unique factors of your situation? Is this for the 6510 or a different printer? Are you able to print a test page? If so is black and any other color missing or streaked from the test?

  • BLACK INK IS NOT WORKING

    PRINTER IS OUT OF WARRENTY. I HAVE CHANGED TOATL 4 CARTRIDGES  EVENTHOUGH IT IS NOT PRINTING BLACK.  DID CLEAN PRINT HEAD 20 TIMES AND NOW I AM OUT OF MY NEW COLOR CARTRIDGES TOO.

    It is toast. Had a deskjet 3250 with same problem. Call support. They will send you a replacement, warranty or not. Mine was out of warranty as well and just received a refurbished one that works (for now).

    Black ink still not working after spending many hours trying to sort. I've cleaned the printhead carefull several times (is immaculate now) and run the system clean up and alignment functions several many times too. I've cleaned the metal connecting points. I wiggled things carefully. I've attempted printing multiple pages in b/w in case it was going to take a while to get the ink flowing again. I've replaced one (expensive) new black cartridge with another brand new (expensive) cartridge and still nothing. This machine is probably out of warranty but seriously not very old. It really ought to be working okay. We use it regularly a little bit every week. Any ideas?

    The document here has troubleshooting steps that may help resolve black not printing on your Photosmart b110a.  Be sure to check the vents as shown in solution six, step three.  If the above does not resolve the problem the post here may help.

    I'd like to help you be able to print again. I understand your colored cartridges are working, but the black ink is not.  Please begin with the steps in the following document; Printer Prints a Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink for the HP Officejet 6500 All-in-On...
    If you complete all of the steps in the document above and the issue continues, my own personal recommendation, not one of HPs, is to use the solution offered in the following video.  I only suggest doing this if he printer and printhead are out of warranty.  Hot Water Printhead Flush - HP Ink Series Printers with removable Printhead.
    I have recommended this solution to others and have seen success, but I can not guarantee this will resolve the issue, it is an end of the line kind of effort. I hope it helps.

    Although the printer might be out of warranty, if the issue persists, HP may be able to offer you something. Maybe they can offer you a discount on a newer model, or discuss the option of replacing the printhead!  If after all of our efforts the issue remains, I suggest calling HP. If you are in Canada or US call 800 474 6836, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.

  • Office Jet Pro 8500 Black ink will not print

    black ink will not print and alignment fails.  I have cleaned the print heads through all levels.  The colors print perfectly but black will not print.  I have reset the printer, run tests pages, but still no black ink and the unit trys to align, but fails.  The unit is no longer in warranty.

    black ink does not print   new cartridges   cleaned all heads...

    Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system?  Are there any error messages on the printer or computer screen?
    Is your printer still in warranty? You can check with HP's warranty tool here.

    You don't in the condition it's in. You will either have to get the phone replaced by Apple or pay a 3rd party to repair it.
