BLACK LINES accross Program window image on playback only

I was editing tonigh with CS3 and CS4 open and working well, then I opened a project file to check something and when I playedback timeline I saw black line passing by my image with colorama lines weaved into them a bit like film scratches. It was just at first top 1/3 of screen but when I closed it to open another that one had them all over the image.
The project always worked fantastic, never saw that bug before.
The specs:
CFHD project with AspectHD v.5 last build
Windows Vista x64 Ultimate
Dual monitor with Ultramon
AMD Athlon x2 6400+
ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe
NVIDIA QUADRO FX 1500 (last driver)
SOUND BLASTER X-FI XTREME MUSIC
8 GB RAM 800Mgz ECC
cooling system is ok
footage on 2 raids O HD (500 + 960 GB)

It sounds like you have multiple programs fighting for use of the video card hardware overlay.

Black lines appearing around windows and on screen in Pro 9.3.1

I have just installed the update for Acrobat Pro 9.3.1 and now am getting random black keylines around any windows open on my Mac. It does not matter which application, they are appearing on everything. They also show up on the screen when randomly when clicking around the windows.
I have a Mac Pro 3,1 running OS X 10.5.8. Has anyone any ideas as they are very annoying?! Thanks

Today, 3/31/2008, we received a "patch" from Oracle/Hyperion support that consisted of 3 SQL scripts to apply to the BI+ repository. After applying the folder permissions are now able to be set along with the objects in the folders. We found we lost provisioning for MSAD groups to the reporting ans analysis applications (workspace), but not sure if this happened because of not shutting down all the services including Shared Services. Since this was a dev environment, not a problem, but in our production environment we will ensure a complete listing of the provisioning before applying. Awaiting word from support about the provisioning issue.
There is an open bug report from a different client and apparently this is fixed in 9.5.

Macbook display problem lines around program windows

What kind of problem is this? It appears after a while and around all program windows. OS Maverick and Macbook pro 2010

I have the same problem. Reinstalled mavericks but it didn´t solve the problem. It seems to appear when "" after saver sleep. It works fine until sleep mode. What that means i don't know

Adding "black" lines and text to image scans

I'm currently running Acrobat 9 Pro, under XP.
I scan documents as black-and-white PDF image files. They usually contain handwritten text. OCR is not applicable (at least, as far as I know there's little if anything that currently exists that's realistic for doing OCR on hand-written text).
I just leave them as images of the handwritten text, and that's generally okay for my purposes.
However, I often want to go in and "edit" a little bit of that handwritten text -- just a few words here and there -- either by sometimes crossing things out or sometimes deleting them (or whiting them out, or covering them with a white box), and adding a text box with new typed text either over or between existing handwritten text..
I know how to do most of that (well, I could use a few pointers on deleting or whiting out handwritten words), but I don't know how to make it all "black" so it tends to blend better with the color of the scan itself. Currently, lines I draw and text I enter appear red. How do I make them appear black so it blends better?
Can I do that?
Or do I need to upgrade to be able to do that?

I'm not sure we're on the same page. I already have no probelm drawing a white box to cover existing text (remember, this is all "images" since I'm just scanning in handwritten pages and not using OCR on them at all) and I can already draw a text frame to enter text into, just as I can already draw lines to cross things out that I don't want to just cover with a white box. I'm just looking for a way to make that text and those lines black instead of red (and for anything else that might make the process more elegant).

Remove black lines from a tiff image in Photoshop.

Hi,
I am developing an automation plugin in Ps. I have images which contains text, border and vertical lines. I need to remove the lines and border from the image. The problem is that the color of text,line and border are same ie. black.
I tried reading pixel by pixel but couldn't differentiate between the lines and text as both are of same color.
Can anyone suggest some other way to achive this?

Just to clarify the situation for us. You want to remove the black frame and the vertical lines while leaving the black rectangle and the text intact in the image? Is this correct?
You also mentioned you are attempting to create an "automation plug-in for Photoshop"
You say you have other images, I'm assuming they are different for the one you posted but you want the "plug-in" to delete the black frame & vertical lines from a number of different images?
Will the black rectangle always be in the same exact position and will the image dimensions for all the images always be the same?
As Noel said, you should go to the Photoshop SDK forum. Explain to them what you want to do and that you want to do this on many different images.
As an afterthought, a Plug-in is different from a Photoshop Action. Perhaps this could be partially done with an Action that allows for a pause to select or change something before continuing the action.
And no, I don't create Actions myself so I can't help. Do some reading and see what you can come up with.

Why & remove: thin black line around new image?

You are 100% right ... I have made the canvas a bit larger and there is no line.
BUT, why is there a line around the image when viewing in a browser? I dont' want it there and this is the first time I have this problem.

Black lines all over page

When set a document in my printer to copy or print it prints out the page FULL of black lines all over the paper. The only way I can get the page to copy so I can read it is to scan the document, save it on my desk top, then print off of my desk top, Thats the only time that the page is not covered by black lines.
How do I fix this?

ADF Scan black line at bottom

Hi
When i scan documents using the ADF I get a black line at the bottom of each page (only the right side of the paper). I have tried cleaning the small scan area - but I still get the black line - any idea how to get rid of it?

Thank you for your response! I would recommend the following in this order:
Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Disable any antivirus programs. Disable antivirus software.
Disable any firewall programs. Windows Firewall from start to finish.
Create a new user account. Managing User Accounts and Logins (Windows 8).
Reinstall using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.
Let's see what happens after these steps are completed!

HP Laserjet Pro MFP M12fn, printing a solid black line on every paper

I'm running windows 7 professional. I haven't received any error messages and nothing out of the oridarny has happened. My printer/scanner/fax/copy (My HP Laserjet Pro MFP M12fn, product # CZ181A) is printing with a black line down the entire paper, but its only doing it thru the feeder and not on the glass. HELP, How can I fix this?

I read your post, which indicates that you are getting a black line down the page when using the feeder. You can print fine from the glass. I can help you with this.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Clean the scanning glass and platen.
Turn the printer off.
Disconnect the power cord from the product and the wall outlet.
Open the scanner lid.
Clean the following scanner areas with a soft cloth or sponge that has been moistened with nonabrasive glass cleaner.
Main scanner glass.
Small scanner glass to the left of the main scanner glass.
White plastic backing.
Dry the glass and white plastic backing with a chamois or a cellulose sponge to prevent spotting.
Plug the power cord into the product and the wall outlet.
Turn the printer on.
Try to make another copy.
If you are still having issues, then update the printer's firmware.

Select your operating system, click next, click the link for firmware.

Black Line next to Flash Video

Hi,
Just a quick query regarding flash video. I have tried two
methods of getting a flash video to work but I am still having the
same problem. Next to the flash video to the right hand side of it
I am seeing a black line like a border, but it is only on the right
hand side.
I have imported the video in flash 8 and chosen a player skin
which all works fine. But when I export the flash swf file i see
the black border on the right hand side.
I am also tried importing the video directly in dreamweaver.
Again, I choose the skin and other options and when i preview the
html page i see the right hand side line border again.
I am completely confused as I have another swf file which
uses the same flv which does not have the black line - so it must
be something I am doing?

swf file (which was created by someone else and I ca not edit)
which uses the same flv to power the video played in the swf which
does not have this black line. But when I set up a new fla with the
flv in it and then export i get the line. I had thought it was part
of the original video but it is not showing in this other swf?
Any ideas?

Large Black Line

Printer: HP Photosmart C4680
I get a large black line down the length of my page only when I scan. I have tried everything that the "help" page has suggested. I have also changed the ink cartrages to no avail.
Any suggestions?

To bump would be considered by most folks to be rather rude. To bump every few hours is pretty excessive and counterproductive - it would appear your post already has 4 replies, not sense for others to even open it.
This is not a link to HP, it is users helping users. If you want to reach HP then Contact HP.
That said, your printer problems sounds like a bit of dust or debris on the scanner element. I suspect you also get the line when scanning to the computer and copying without the computer. Likely you will need to have the unit serviced.

Black lines/grainy image for my GigE Prosilica GX1920 Camera Program

Hi,
I have a pretty basic program for a Prosilica GX1920 that I've been struggling with. I've used the NI vision assistant and had no problem seeing a clear image but when I run my program after a short time the image gets grainy and black lines appear towards the bottom of the image. The lines move around, sometimes there are a few other times 1/5th of the image is taken up by them. When I use my program and then switch back to the NI vision assistant, the image quality remains poor. It's probably just a simple mistake I'm making but any help with this would be much appreciated.

How are you acquiring the image in your program? Are you using the Vision Assistant? Are you changing any attributes of the camera in your program? Are you able to acquire and image in Measurement & Automation explorer after the image appears to become distorted? Thanks for the additional information!

Go to System Preferences - Accessibility - Voiceover - turn off Voiceover. The shortcut is command-F5, so possibly you pressed that accidentally.
