Black Macbook fan not working

Have a 13.3 2.0 GhzBlack Macbook with 2 Gb Ram.
Fan stopped working, (I can see its not running on istat nano). The computer gets very hot, specially when working with video. It shuts down automatically.
Bought a new fan online and replaced it myself with Ifixit instructions. Still not working.
Any ideas

could be a number of things.
Are you certain that you plugged the fan in to the motherboard correctly? Could one of the wires have been damaged during the installation? Of course the replacement fan could also be faulty, or the logicboard could have a problem. I'd start by rechecking your installation, or get hold of another fan. You really don't have many options beyond that.

My macbook is suffering from a non working fan.
- After the firmware upgrade it worked fine, but stopped working. I never really noticed until recently.
- smcFanControl cannot get the fan working (showing always 000rpm and 55 to 80 deg C)
- I have 2gb memory and have no overheat issues...until I run my new EyeTV hybrid which will make it shutdown.
Any suggestions to test the fan and it this is a hardware or software problem

If I were you, I would get an second opinion and try iStat Pro. On my MacBook it shows my fan speed as I write this at 1800 rpm (it varies a few rpm on either side of 1800.) This utility also reports several temperature reading from 35-50 degrees.
As someone else wrote here, I would think your computer would either not run or shut down very quickly without the fan. At least that's been my experience on other computers that I've owned.

Horrible fps problems, fans not working

Hi,
Whenever I play League of Legends on my 15 inch retina macbook pro, the game starts out smoothly with a consistent 60 fps. However, after a certain period of time, the fps severely drops to about 5. It never used to do this, but now it happens consistently. Also, the fans have not turned on in months; they used to always be on whenever I played League, but they seem to never turn on anymore. Could the fps problem be related to the fan not working? Please help, and thanks!

You don't in the condition it's in. You will either have to get the phone replaced by Apple or pay a 3rd party to repair it.

Each version of Extension Manager only installs/manages extensions for the same suite of products. EM CS6 only installs extensions for DW CS6. To install extensions for DW CS5, you should launch EM CS5 to install it. Note that you have to update EM CS5 to 5.0.3 before you launch EM CS5 in Mac 10.8, otherwise EM CS5 will crash due to Mac API change. You can use Adobe Application Manager to update EM CS5 or download and run http://download.macromedia.com/pub/dw_exchange/extension_manager/mac/AdobeExtensionManager _5_0_3_mul_AdobeUpdate.dmg which can be found at http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/.

It looks like you are having difficulties with regards to the Cooling Fan of your Netbook
We will surely assist you with this
According to the message you have posted I suspect this is purely a hardware issue where in your getting "System Fan(90B) - The system has detected that a cooling fan is not operating correctly" message. This is a mechanical fault and the Cooling Fan on your Notebook and needs to be replaced before the Notebook starts up with an Overheating Issue.
Causes/Reason for this Issue:
1. Sometimes this is just because of Dust, Pet Animals Hair slowing down the fan
Perform the below shown troubleshooting steps:
Step 01. Turn OFF the Notebook
Step 02. Un-plug the Power/AC Adapter and also remove the Battery too
Step 03. Press and Hold the Power Button of the Notebook for a full minute
Step 04. Now let's re-insert the battery back in and plug back the Power/AC Adapter
Step 05. Start the Notebook and keep tapping F10 Key during the startup to access the BIOS
Step 06. Once you get to the BIOS, Please press F5 Key to load setup defaults for the BIOS
Step 07. Now let's press Esc/Escape Key. Save Changes and Exit - Yes
Step 08. Now please wait till Unit loads Windows and then Shut down the Netbook again
Step 09. You should clean all the Vents and Openings really good with a can of compressed air
Note: If you are still getting the same error we need to replace the fan
I strongly recommend you to immediately Contact HP Technical Support over the Phone for further assistance without any delay to get your Netbook Fan replaced and serviced by an authorized HP Certified Engineer

Why does the internet on my new macbook pro not work when my old macbook's does?

Why does the internet on my new macbook pro not work when my old macbook's does? I'll have to turn the wifi off and back on multiple times to get the internet to continue to work on my Macbook Pro (running mountain lion but did it on lion also) when it runs fine on my old white Macbook (running lion). Is there something I can do to fix it or do I just have to deal with it?

Here is your fix .. I have uploaded my properly calibrated profile get it here :

And it should go to your user folder/Library/ColorSync/Profiles
if you have one already you can rename either one ..
and then go to system preferences - displays - color to select the profile .
you will get rid of the blue tint while keeping correct color and gamma
This is for the newer 2010 MBP's altho if same display was used might also give good results in the previous models as well . .

B110a black in still not working after trying all recommended solutions

Black ink still not working after spending many hours trying to sort. I've cleaned the printhead carefull several times (is immaculate now) and run the system clean up and alignment functions several many times too. I've cleaned the metal connecting points. I wiggled things carefully. I've attempted printing multiple pages in b/w in case it was going to take a while to get the ink flowing again. I've replaced one (expensive) new black cartridge with another brand new (expensive) cartridge and still nothing. This machine is probably out of warranty but seriously not very old. It really ought to be working okay. We use it regularly a little bit every week. Any ideas?

When you plug the headphones in can you still hear the audio through the MacBook's built-in speakers? If you can then you may have a physical problem with the audio port on the MacBook. In any case, you should check to see if the headphones are being recognized in the System Preferences -> Sound control panel (under the "Output" tab). Note that it is possible to have different volume/mute settings between the speakers and the headphones so you need to check the Sound control panel to see if you have the headphone output set to mute. When I plug a set of headphones into my MacBook the output name in the Sound control panel changes to "Headphones" from "Internal Speakers." You should check to see if you see the same behavior on your MacBook.

By the way, if you are still interested, I found a solution. It's a bit crazy, but basically I have insulated the parts of the keyboard connector corresponding to the power button using some thin tape and then used a very thin wire going from the logicboard (where the test pads for startup are located) to my eject key, this way the original power button does not respond anymore and the eject key can be used as the power button, just like in the new Airs
