Black output for picture (metafile, Word) pasted from Excel

Hi,
All pictures in the pdf result in black rectangles. The original document is Word and the pictures are pasted from Excel to Word as Picture (Windows or Enhanced Metafile). Word and Excel are 2007 and Acrobat is 9Pro. Any guess how to get the pictures right in the pdf?

I'm guessing here.
Do not copy and paste; I think the path to the source picture is being lost.
Within Word, Insert the picture from the menu.

Tried alternative by going to VT70, give the shipment no, and output type for handling unit. When executed, Getting a message "No Messages Found".

For VT70 transaction have entered the Print control and Output device.

Cannot Cut and Paste From Excel

I am trying to simply cut and paste from Excel into the Xcelsius spreadsheet. Even though the user manual indicates to copy from Excel and right click where you want to paste, the Paste and Paste Special functions are greyed out. It is almost like the cells are locked or protected somehow. I selected Formal Cells -> Protection and unlocked the cells but still nothing. Any ideas? Excel 2007

It seems your workbook was locked. Try the following... it might help you.
I know some of you out there have hit this problem in the past and now we have a workaround...
If you try to add/remove/modify a worksheet in the Xcelsius embedded Excel and you can't do it.
1. Start to unprotect the workbook:
Office 2007 (Ribbon menu in Xcelsius or Excel). Select Review > Protect Workbook > Protect Structure and Windows.
Office 2003 (menu only in Excel). Select Tools > Protection > Unprotect Workbook.
2. You will be prompted for a password.
3. This is the password (the O is an uppercase o):
fazOh1+u
4. Click OK and the spreadsheet should no longer be locked.

Problems pasting from Excel 2008 to Numbers

I'm trying to make the switch from Excel to numbers and ran into the following problem.
If I cut a group of cells from Excel 2008 and try paste it into Numbers it does not work.
I can paste into another place in Excel, Stickies or OpenOffice, but not Numbers.
I can double click a cell in Numbers and paste all the copied into a single cell, but this is not what I want.
Is this a Numbers problem or Excel 2008. Since I can paste from Excel to programs other than Numbers, it seems like a Numbers problem
Anyone else have this problem.

Very weird! I don't think your table is too simple.
I tried a simple table and it failed.
In fact I can copy the table from Numbers and paste it into Excel 2008
But when I copy the same table from Excel and try to paste into Numbers, it fails.
I can however paste into stickies.

Copy and paste from Excel to Word, tabs get messed up intermittently

I use a couple templates I've developed for quoting and have trouble using them since I've switched to Windows 8.1, and Office 2013. I copy from Excel and paste into windows. When I first installed the new software it worked fine. Then
it started doing crazy things with the tabs. A column in Excel would be way wider in Word to the point my table would be off the screen. Then it got better. Then it got bad again. The problem seems to be intermittent. I just re-installed
Office. No change.
I saw one person's note about having the file you are copying to open or closed when copying from Excel. Tried that but no change. Any ideas? So two problems:
1. pasting doesn't work
2. the software seems unstable
Just discovered a work around. I think, since the problem does seem to come and go. The template was initially developed in Office 2010. It works fine in 2013, except for pasting apparently. When I recreated the template in 2013, it
seems to paste correctly - so far.

This is probably just like what you've discovered, these are old templates created in Office 2010, which might have compatibility issue.
Re-created them within Office 2013 should fix this.

Vector problem after copy/paste from Excel

In the past I've been able to drag or copy and paste an image from excel into Illustrator. I've lost that ability (sometimes I'll get a shadow image copied in, but it is not in vectors and it is not editable). If I save the figure as a PDF to copy it into Illustrator as a vector formatted object I cannot figure out how to change any formatting/colors. I can select individual bars in a bar graph, I can add an outline to them, but the option for changing the color is completely absent. I am fairly new to this, but would love help. I've tried releasing the clipping masks, but that only fills in the entire body of the chart with color. This literally all worked fine yesterday (and I can modify prior charts that I already imported with no problem). I'd love some help and feedback as I am fairly new to this and could be missing something! Thanks.

How to copy and paste from excel in Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.2 using the Mozilla 17 as my browser?

I'm using Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.2.300 and Mozilla 17 as my web browser, and I'm trying to paste a number from excel directly into a cell in a data form in Hyperion.
ie. after I copy the figure from a cell in excel, I go to a cell in Hyperion Planning and either press Ctrl+V or use the right-click mouse button on the cell where the Copy/Paste/Cut... menu appears.
Either way the number is not pasted (nothing happens)
On the other hand, if I double left-click in the cell (which is used for entering values manually in Hyperion Planning) the number if pasted correctly, however this is not a good workaround.

Yes you're absolutely right, I created VR from the manage form's menu. So I use standard HP 11.1.2 functionality. I've seen it in new features while read Oracle documentation. Also with testing of approvals in Proccess managment I use distinct colours for negatives and diff values (greater 1000 and 100 in my example). Colours work fine, but i can't say it about aprovals :). And all these examples of using planning form VR's i've taken from oracle administrators&user guiide and from presentations of EPM 11.1.2
In addition I've started work with Hyperion products 2-3 month ago. Hence I have to read a lot of information because my previous experience was OLTP, RDBMS not OLAP.
As a first step i wanna know all standard possibilities of product i use. And also best practice and some often used technics. Many thanks for your idea with Smart list and BR i'll try it (though i use EMPA and Calc Manager rules). I know that soon I have to use Java API's, so I might read and learn Java to write the simplest code first. But for me it's too much info i have to load into my brain in such short period :)
As a resume, my opinion it's a bug of new features EPM 11.1.2. But maybe I'm wrong cause none has said the same

Is there a copy and paste information from Excel with the column headings into a thread and have all the information line up under the column headings?

The short answer is No there isn't... but...
If you wrap the pasted info between code tags you can get close... For example...

But odds are you'll still need to clean it up in note pad first...

Copy and paste from excel to adobe form

Hi everyone,
a customer in a project based on WDJ + Adobe Interactive Form asks us the ability to copy areas of data (numeric and alphanumeric) from an Excel Spreadsheet (set of contiguous rows and columns), and paste them into a text field free PDF, preserving the formatting (ie the structure of rows and columns, font and size).
Personally I think it is something not feasible unless a development at hoc.cosa do you think?
Any advice is very welcome.

Reading the documentation XFA at http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/xml/xfa_spec_3_1.pdf (richtext reference) we understand that you can make the cut & paste from Word or, better still from a RTF. But in this case from the Excel table information is lost as it is aligned in a single line.
The only way I think is to define a common layout to Excel and Adobe and use tables dynamically in the form
I do not think this is a limitation of the SAP solution!

Copy and Paste from Excel to Applet

Hi,
I'm having a problem with trying to copy and paste data from Excel to an Applet (JTable). The copy and paste works fine when I run the standalone applet, but when it's embedded into a HTML page and placed in an app server, it would not recognize what's on the clipboard, so nothing gets pasted. Any ideas?

My guess is that you get an security exception. An applet has to by signed to enable cut & paste with excel.

Multiple Paste from excel to table control

Hi All,
I need to provide a facility that will enable us to enter values on table control in a module pool by copy-pasting from an excel.
The problem is that it is only pasting the number of rows that can be seen on the screen. While I need to paste 100 lines.
I have set the 'Lines ' parameter as 100 and yet it is not working.
Kindly suggest a way .

The solution is above.
Try the method CLIPBOARD_IMPORT of class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.
You can get all data in internal table and move all data into table control's internal table.

When pasting from Excell the table border is not showing in Yahoo mail

Even I got annoyed due to this stupid thing ,
Let me share you how i worked around this ,
(1)Once you copied the table from Excel or Open office Calc, to thunderbird mail , It will appear the table with dotted line.
(2)Now you have to double click in any single cell it will prompt the ‘Table properties’ box .
(3)Now click on ‘Table ’ tab and under ‘Borders and Spacing’ Section set ‘Border’ ‘1’ instead of ‘0 ‘
That’s it ... it will show you the border lines of table copied from source file 

Is it normal to black out for 3 seconds on wake from sleep?

When my MBP wakes from sleep (usually from opening the lid), the wake from sleep sequences is pretty mystifying. At first I see my desktop screen, but then it goes black for 2 or 3 seconds, and then I can see my desktop screen again and start using the computer. Is this normal? If so, why is this?

I went into the Apple Store when this first started happening to my computer. They had just received a bulletin about it, calling it "safe sleep". It's supposed to keep the things you had on your desktop "safe" in case your battery gets low or something else happens to your computer. So it is "normal". I do find it annoying, however. It actually was happening less after I updated to 10.4.8, but I just did a firmware update (to Boot ROM MB11.0061.B03--check your system profiler) and now it occurs every time I put my computer to sleep for more than 1 minute. I do find it quite annoying, since I would rather have my computer "wake up" immediately when I open the lid (one of the usual bonuses of having a Mac). I noticed that someone said it could be turned off. I'll probably call Support and ask them, since I have AppleCare. I'll get back to you if I have any luck.
Also, remember to download all updates--it really does tend to fix problems that arise. Good Luck!
