Black Pictures??
For the last few uploads from my iphone most of the pictures in iphoto have been black squares with no picture. When I click on the square (where there would usually be a picture), nothing shows up o (. Does anyone know what is wrong???? Or how to fix it? All the rest of my photos are fine, just the last few iphone to iphoto uploads have been wierd.

May we know the phone model you have? Are you using any third party camera application or using the default camera on the phone? Can you also tell us the software version of your phone? We'd like to know more information from you. Keep us posted. Oh, by the way, welcome to the forum.

My IPOD Classic Video 5. Gen. showed videos, but now it does no longer show them, instead i see a black picture on my IPOD and it doesn`t work. I have to restart it every time, i try it. i restore the software with itunes, but the problem still exists.
The Videos are showed up front 4 months, but now they are no longer to be seen. When you star a video first the hard drive starts, but then it stops and hangs up. I have to restart it, starting with the apple logo....Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc. -
TV@nywhere Master sound but only black picture.

I bought an TV@nywhere Master and i have a serios problem whit it. I can get sound out of it. Both on radio and the tv part. But i just get a black picture when trying to watch tv. But the tv channels sound good. Can you give my any pointers? I curently running the latest drivers for it. My comp has windows xp sp1 installed. My comp is an P4 2,4ghz 512 ram ati radeon 9600pro whit 3.6 catalyst drivers änd directx 9.0b.

Are you by chance running a dual-screen system (2 monitors)? I noticed that with my setup only my primary monitor would display the TV video. In the secondary screen - I would get a black screen and no sound.
Just a thought. Also, this might sound obvious, but make sure that your TV source is set to TV and not Composite or other. (not sure you would get any sound in this scenario, but since sound is piped through you line-in it may just be the case).

HELP! ITook loads of photos on my ipod touch, and when i went to look at them they were just black images , and then out of 50 bout 7 of them came out?anyone know how to get the black pictures turn out ?
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup -
Black "picture frame" around window
A strange black "picture frame" shows up around windows which are active. Doesn't show up on Entourage. Appears like a non-damaging virus, but I don't know what it could be. Any ideas how to get rid of it?

It looks like VoiceOver was activated. Head to *System Preferences -> Universal Access* and click on the Seeing tab and there is where you should be able to turn it off.

When I try to include a white and black photo in a iMovie the result is a black totaly black picture which does not show in the movie. Why? Can it be fixed?
The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Other than that, what version of iPhoto do you have? Assuming 09 or later try
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

I just install Photoshop CC. I try to open the file picture. All open as solid black picture. But on the right side under layer I can see little pic preview. Please help!

Black pictures and photostream crashes
all of a sudden my pictures are just black and when I open photos or photostream it crashes. The pictures take and appear to be saved but when I go to camera roll it will either crash or show black pictures. help
The problem only happens to me with pictures taken in portrait orientation on my iPhone or iPad. Here is the quickest way I have found to fix it.
In iPhoto, select one or more "black" photos and click Edit. In edit mode, click Rotate 4 times (i.e. 360º rotation). Select the next photo, and Rotate 4 times. Do this for each photo. Then click <Photos to exit edit mode.
All the "edited" photos should now appear. -
I made un update for OSX-10.9.2. , and when a scan a document or a picture in one printer HP D-110, and order `save as` , the file saved is a black picture or document. I can't see the file. What happens? I made the downloads of files required by HP for the OS maverick in HP site.

After importing Pics in iMovie just black picture
I have a funny "effect" in iMovie. I have tried to import pictures from iPhoto and it works fine as far as I do not apply the Kern Burns effect. If the later is applied, I can see the preview but as far as the effect is completely calculated (red bar bellow the pic is ready) I get just a black picture. The pic seems to have disappeared. However I can still see it if I go to "preview". The black picture has the correct duration but nothing as black is shown...
any idea? Its a bug ...or a feature ? (;-)

Alex, is the iMovie project stored on an external drive? If it is, iMovie may be having trouble saving the rendered Ken Burns clip to the drive. It starts rendering it, hits a disk error, and gives up.
iMovie requires that the disk have the Mac OS Extended disk format, which most drives do NOT have when formatted for a PC.

The iMovie trash bug that Sue mentioned wasn't a problem until iMovie 6.0.3, so if you're running iMovie 5 — the forum you've posted to — I'd look for something else. First the drive format. Then check out the comments about third-party iMovie plug-ins and QuickTime add-ons also discussed in the linked-to topic.

Ever since this **bleep** update my camera is now only saving a black picture. I have checked settings, I have used the camera just fine before this update. I have searched for similar problems with no luck.
So now do I own a Droid that has no camera function? WOW! Lucky me! Has anyone heard of this?I'm not sure if anything has to do with anything, but here is what I experienced.
Installed flash 10.1 yesterday and installed fine...flash works. woohoo!
Later in the day, I use pandora radio to find that it only works when I'm standing in one spot .... $$%%#@&*!!!
Then I get a "Experiencing technical difficulties" error message.
Didn't notice it right away, but next day, phone is sluggish all day....the unlock "draw pattern" page was acting funky.
Went into a Verizon store to ask if there was a newer firmware....the guy checks my firmware and sees its up to date and tells me to try a new screen protector. (Seriously? I go in to get help and he's trying to sell me sh*t, btw, this was a corporate Verizon store - I hate sales people).
So I tell him, I just put that one on yesterday, which I did (cost $7 at Fry's - outrageous, I know!!) and he tells me some **bleep** about how there could a layer of dirt that can't be seen...give me a freakin' break....did I mention, I HATE sales people?
When I get home, I try to take a picture with the droid and I get all black pictures....aaarrrrgggg!!!
Then I researched to see if anyone else is having this problem....viola, I found this forum.
I pulled the battery and now everything is working.
Pandora radio is working while I'm driving and the camera now takes pictures.
Also the zoom feature is working pretty good....I half-press the "gold" button on the side to focus then using the other hand, i use the lens button on the screen to take the picture. Pictures come out pretty clear and is fairly useful.
I didn't have to uninstall flash or do a hard reset.
All this plus, some a$$ pulled out in front of my motorcycle out of a parking lot, because my headlights went out on the way home.....could have been a lot worse day than my droid problems, however it worked out ok, thanks to this forum and the MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) class. -
Tecra S4: Black picture on internal screen during switching FN+F5
Every time i try to switch to the external Monitor i get a Black Picture on Notebook and cannot Switch forward or back. I use a docking station as well what can this be ?
Hm, maybe reinstalling the vga-drivers would be a try? Just deinstall the old drivers and install the new one, maybe it helps.

When I quit iPhoto again, an informational dialog says "updating library"..
Restarted again, and "Repair Database"d
Restarted again, and now "Rebuilding Database"ing.
Database Rebuilt. Still no photos displayed.
Also, iBooks shows the book covers, but the contents are just drop-shadow outlines, like the Preview documents.
So, I'm now re-downloading Yosemite Developer Preview from the App Store. -
Hi everbody,
I have been looking around the forums and other webpages but haven't found a soluten yet - maybe you can help me. In Photoshops CS6 when applying an Iris blur the picture turns black.
When I move the pins around I see the picture but this goes away as soon as no pin is moved.
This behaviour has been reported on other webpages before but there has been no solution and people think it is caused by a graphics driver bug. Do you have any ideas or soultions? I have updated the latest Photoshop and system updates.
