Black screen between every clip that does not appear on timeline, only on MOV file

I have now fixed the letterboxing issue but now have this problem (I did not have this issue before) where I get a very short black screen between each clip I put on the timeline. The black screen does not show up on the timeline, it only appears once I create the file. I'm not sure if this is affected but the fact I have an external hard drive. All my footage is stored on the hard drive and i save my Final Cut Pro file on the hard drive then upload it to YouTube. I made 2 quick short MOV files to test this theory (one made from footage on my EHD and the other from footage from my desk top) neither files had the black screen in the MOV files.

Hello Nick, thanks for the answer.
I have fully lengthened my timeline and the black gaps are not there to delete (they only appear once the file has been exported).
The issue I have (I think) is that im not sure what export settings I am meant to choose to export the footage.
My camera records in widescreen so when I place my footage onto the time line and final cut pro automatically selects the correct settings for me, this is what is chooses
This is then the export settings that are automatically in the box when I go to export
As my footage is 1920 x 1080 I would expect to be given an option with that in but these are the only options available
I am not sure if this should create the black spaces between each shot.

i don't see a way for you to back up your phone, because it will require you to unlock the phone.

From the box the iphone came in:

You will need Mac OS 10.5.8 or later in order to get itunes 10.5 or later, in order to connect your iphone.

The window to select dimensions simply does not appear and I can't move forward, due to variables exit in the report

I am having an issue when I try to create a WEBI document using Bex query through OLAP connection (Bics).
Due to variables exit, it is not possible to open query pannel in webi to choose wich dimensions to add to the webi document.
The window to select dimensions simply does not appear and I can't move forward!
In RSRT ou Bex Analyzer, the query is running fine without errors.
CMOD code is like this (I believe there is not any error as it is working flawless on other reports for other variable names):

I solved it.
The problem was due to date coming to exit - as you know some time intervals start at 01-01-1000, and as I was calculating 1000-1 = 999
I was getting and interval from 99901 to 201405. Do not know if it was not working because CHAR NUMC6 was failing trying to recognize interval 99901 - 201405, but probably, this was the issue.

ITunes11, it does not appear to be a valid library file

MBP, OS10.8.2, iTunes11
When i close the iTunes, and try and reopen, sometimes i get an error message the "file "" cannot be read because it does not appear to be a valid library file".
When i restart the computer it seems to be a temporary fix.
This started happening when i upgarded to iTunes10.7, and the problem still persists in iTunes11.
70,000 songs, so i really dont want to rebuild my Library.

My Music Library is stored on an Optibay drive.. when i leave iTunes idle for a while, Optibay drive sleeps, corrupting the iTunes Library when it closes, i think.

As this topic title says. how to stop Timer event nside movieclip that does not exist?
I mean my fla stracture is there are 2 frames on main timeline, and I put mcA on frame 2.
And I put a button on root that does

I need to stop T_TImer from root on frame 1, not on frame 2.
but, "mcA.T_Timer.stop();" won't work.
I get TypeError: Error #1010 error.
I don't know how to stop this timer event. I have to stop it from root, and I can't use EVENT_REMOVED in this case.

If the object doesn't exist you cannot do anything relative to targeting it. Maybe you should move the timer to the main timeline where you can access it any time.

IPhoto does not appear on desktop, only in Dashboard mode

Hey guys,
Has anyone had this problem - the iPhoto window does not appear on the desktop, and can only be seen in Dashboard mode. Once that tiny window in the Dashboard mode is clicked, the program hides.
I hope to hear from someone soon about this. Thank you!

Are you using separate desktops with Spaces? If so, try disable it and see if the window shows up. Otherwise you can try trash the com.apple.iphoto.plist file from the home / library / preferences folder

Odd...the only other thing I can suggest is to reboot the Wi-Fi network at work (if you can) and try again.
EDIT: Do you use something called Quickconnect client to setup a wireless connection? If so, this may help:

To remove the wireless profile from an iOS device:

Select the profile you wish to remove (eduroam or UI-Wireless-Setup, for example)
Select Remove

i've uninstalled itunes before and reinstalled it off of the internet and i try to open it and it says "the file "itunes library.itl" does not appear to be a valid music library file. itunes has attempted to recover your music library and renamed this file to itunes library (damaged)

Back up your music and then uninstall it; while the uninstallation process doesn't affect the library, other things can.

Unlock a FM file that does not have the Read-only attribute?

I have FrameMaker 8.0p277. I was trying to import formats from a file on my network. Everything froze. I had to reboot. When I reopened my FM book file and the individual chapter files, I got the lock message that prompted me to reset the lock and open each file. I did that--opened each file and reset the lock in each file. However, when I go to update my files, I get a message that one of my files is read-only. The attribute settings does not say this. I also can't even click in this file any more. I tried removing it from my book file and adding it back in. But that didn't change anything. Is there a way to get this file unlocked again?

Be sure you are pressing the keys sequentially, except for F, that is:
Esc
Shift+F
l
c
Except for Shift+F, do not press all the keys at the same time.

HT1589 I cannot create a second itunes library, I have tried shift and iTunes and the screen to choose library options does not appear.

I am tryingto create a second itunes library as I need these completly separate. I have looked up how to do this on my PC and holding shift and iTunes does not give me the option to choose library or create new library. Can you tell me where I can get to do this?

Format Type Does Not Appear. Can Only Export to PDF from InDesign.

When I export a document from InDesign, I am unable to choose any other format besides PDF. It does not give me the option to select a format type.

I don't think that's what he means. Think IDML or Jpeg...

Clip quality does not appear as sharp as when I captured

Hello! I am very new to Final Cut Pro and am hoping someone can help me out.
I am capturing footage from my Panasonic DV Cam via Firewire. I have FCP set to DV-NTSC. I have had no trouble capturing the footage except this: in the log and caputure window, as I watched the footage, everything looked crisp and clean. However, now that I view the clips I captured in FCP, they look like they have a softer focus. Is this the quality my final project will have? Or is the resolution lower just for playback?
I would appreciate any help!
