Black screen from left to right then restart

I have the latest ipad. After running for a few minutes the screen goes black from left to right. After about 30 secs the screen goes back to the apple logo and then the passcode. I updated to ios6, but it didn't help. I tried synching, but everytime it does the restart it looses its connection and can't be seen by itunes. Any ideas?

Having resent my iPad using the Settings route, the Apple logo appeared onscreen and a line below it filled from left to right. When full, the device did nothing. When using my macbook pro online via safari the arrow keys will not move the cursor in a text box if I have used the track pad to zoom in. They will only move the screen from left to right. They used to move the cursor around a sentence regardless of zoom

My screen displays a shadow from left to right, being darker on the left and brighter on the right. Any advice about how to change this would be appreciated.

My screen from the moment it starts any program appears to be shaded from left to right. The left hand side of the display appears to be darker than the right half of the screen. Can someone please advise what I can do to alter this. Have I pressed something I shouldn,t have? Or is there a problem with my display?

Does not sound too healthy! You should take it to the Genius bar in the Apple store. May need the hardware looked at...
It's most probably a backlight issue. Take some piccys of it while it isnt working now!!

Lighter line passing from left to right

Ok, so I experimented a bit about what you're trying to do and here's what I came up with. I think the key is to create a key (no pun intended). Think of the black text as a cut out instead of text. Then you can place a particle emitter behind the cutout and create your inner glow. Here's what I did.
Create a white rectangle to serve as your "background". Create a text object and type your text. Color it black and then group it to the white rectangle. Name it "text".
Place a luma key on the text group and have it key out darker. Because you have black text and an all white rectangle, only the text portion will key out.
Create a new group and place it BELOW the text group. Call it "fx". Hunt through the particle emitters until you find one that gives you the kind of glow you are looking for. I liked the looks of the: Afterburner, Cool, and Embryo emitters.
Adjust the colors to the particle cells to the color(s) you want to use (I recommend not making it all white because then you're text just disappears against the white rectangle). I used the Atlantic Blue preset and liked the way it looked.
Then keyframe or use a behavior to move the emitter from one side of the text to the other to give it the move you want.

Why does my Menu Bar is scrolling from left to right when I call it and not stabilizing?

I have an an XP Windows system and I use Firefox as my default Browser, I suddenly found that my browaer is hit by something that makes the Menu Bar when I try to use it scrolling all menus from left to right so quickly that I can't point to any choice and keep doing this till I end it by mouse, also the information in the Autocomplete are not accessible as they don't show when trying to get them either by mouse or by the down key. I don.t know what to do putting in consideration that I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it and this did not solve the problem.

Camera Raw crops my image from left and right

As you can see in the screen cap, camera raw inside AE opens my timelapse images cropped from left and right. I had this problem before in photoshop too, but never tried to fix it. I'm now in serious trouble and need to find a solution ASAP.

I'm guessing that you cropped in camera and when you shoot RAW the crop is honored but can be removed. I would use Lightroom. Set up a preset that resets the crop and process all of the frames and then export a png or if you want to do some advanced color correcting in AE, select any of the 32 bit image formats and render your resized images to a specific folder. Then import the images as an image sequence in Premiere Pro or AE and do the rest of the work. Importing an image at a time into AE and sequencing the layers in nuts...IMHO
One other thing, before you shoot any more images with this camera go through the menu and reset it to not crop your images.

HT1600 I have an Apple TV 2nd Gen, iPad 2 and can't get the icon to appear when i swipe from left to right. What am I missing? I am able to get the 'Home sharing' 'user and password on my Mac.

Also using IPad 2 I am able to get the ITunes to accept the user name and same password as the Mac.
However, the only way I can see the 'Home sharing; icon is in Music on the Ipad. When I tap on the Icon it asks for a password.
When I give the same password, it is rejected.

Personally I think the iOS devices are poor at reconnecting - Airplay establishes that a link is available but when the iPhone/iPad has been away from the house and rejoins the network i think AppleTV already thinks it's connected with a different IP address and fails to recognise it has joined the network again with new credentials.
Something along those lines anyway.
I find that a combination of restarting AppleTV, router and iOS device tends to fix it, but not for everyone.

You see, I'm left handed and when I use the scroll bar that is on the right side with the left hand I don't actually see the content of the page, because my left hand is covering the screen (I'm browsing the internet in tablet mode and I use the pen to navigate between pages).
My system is a Tablet PC with Windows XP Tablet Edition 2005 and Adobe Reader 9.3.2.

Reading PDF reports from Top to Bottom instead of from left to right in WS

When viewing a PDF Report in workspace and you choose next page, it goes left to right then down to the next section left to right when you have multiple members in the column. Is there a way to change this so that the view goes top to bottom for the first member then moves right and does the same for the other members. I thought I once saw a setting for this.

We have also tried to the same requirement. But we can't.
Only one thing we can do is, the end report can be set at the bottom with the property of "Align to bottom". But the Horizonal, vertical lines and grid not fills from the last item to end of report beginning.
I think this is most required to view the document perfectly or neatly.
Particularly in indian localization this is the must since the customer need to be declared the specific neat format to the legal departments.
Hope SAP Support should solve the issue. But I am wondering this question has been posted many times by many people but unfotunately nobody I think get the solution.

While using ibooks how to change page swipe from left to right vs top to bottom

Somehow I changed a setting in my Ibooks to change page by scrolling from top to bottom of the screen. I want to have page turn by moving from left to right. I am using iPhone with operating 7. whatever is out at this day and time. Can anyone help? Thanks

tap the AA symbol at the top, the one for resizing text.
It will show a slider for brightness, font size, page colour, and on the bottom "scrolling view" off and on.
When the scrolling view is "on" (green) the book is read with a vertical slider and scrolling up and down.
When the scrolling view is "off" (no colour) the pages are changed by swiping left to right or right to left.

HT3209 low resolution videos playback with lines from left to right

When I play HD video's (720p) they play properly and just fine, when i play lower resolution videos (480) i see lines that run across from left to right in the middle of the screen, I can't find any settings to change to prevent that from happening. I would think if it was a computer problem it would have more trouble with the HD content than the SD content.
Does anyone know how to handle this?

Plotting Data on a fixed time axis from left to right

I am plotting data on a Historical Trend graph from the DSC palette. I receive the data from a plc throughout the course of a production shift. I would like to have the start time of the shift (07:00) on the far left of the x-axis and the end time of the shift on the far right (15:30). I would like to plot the data from left to right as the shift progresses. Is this possible? How do I format?

Hi Stuart,
All you need to do is place down a waveform chart and then modify the properties slightly in order to achieve this. If you right click and make sure autoscaling is turned off on the x-axis first of all, then go into the properties page and change the x-axis formatting to absolute time then you will be able to plot data with the actual time according to your system clock.
The only problem you have now is that there probably isn't enough room on the chart to plot data for the entire time between 09:00 and 15:30 depending on how often you want to sample. The default number of data points to keep in the chart is 1024. Therefore if you try and change the max and min values to 09:00 and 15:30 then it won't allow you to set that up as it doesn't think you have enough room there. Right click on the chart again and go down to Chart History Length. Increase this number to a large enough number and then you will be able to set the start time to 09:00 and the end time to 15:30 and as long as autoscaling is turned off this will not change.
Hope this helps, please find the attached example which will plot random numbers to a chart once a minute and the chart will plot data between these times.

Just recently bought an Apple Magic Mouse and noticed that it wiggles from left to right when I hold it a certain way. It does so ever so slightly so I'm afraid that it might be a defective product. I'm really careful and haven't dropped it at all.

Can anybody else replicate this issue? The top polycarbonate plate with the apple logo on top (not the aluminum part) wiggles from left to right ever so slightly when looking at it I noticed it does this. Not typical of any apple products I've ever owned.

Not quite with you, I'm afraid. Is it the mouse itself which wiggles or is it the cursor on the screen.
I really don't mean offence but the mouse ain't going to wiggle unless you have magical powers ... but the cursor may, if, for example, the batteries are not solidly seated or connected. Some are very sensitive and take getting used to.
If it is the cursor, you could try removing and cleaning all contact points and when you replace the batteries make sure they are tightly seated. Oh, and I forgot to mention; is the green light steady or does it flicker?
