Black screen/logo appears when trying to sync to iTunes

when i connect my 4s to itunes after a few seconds the screen will go black and the apple logo appears, the phone will restart again after a few seconds, connect back to itunes and screen goes black again.
also when charging my phone in my car, after 30 minutes or so, the screen goes black and the logo appears again (i sync my itunes through bluetooth)..
never noticed this before, started the day after upgrading to ios7. i've done both hard and soft reset...no change. help!!!

iPhone 4s reboots many times when trying to sync with iTunes.
Since IOS 8, my iPhone 4s reboots many times when trying to sync with iTunes on my Mac. It will start running the backup and reboot, it will reboot many times when updating packages. It can take 12 hours to finish a sync with the mac. The phone gets hot during this. I keep deleting more and more pictures and apps, hoping that maybe it doesn't have enough space, but iTunes shows I have 4.9 Gbytes free, which I think should be enough. I am on IOS 8.0.2, I thought maybe I would try to upgrade to the latest IOS today, but I am worried that I will end up with a non working phone.
Is anyone else having these problems?

HELP! Error (-50) appearing when trying to sync ipod and shuffle

The story so far....
My ipod has recently been playing up (cutting songs short etc), at the same time I bought a shuffle online. When I recently plugged both of these into my itunes it's been playing up. Im not sure if this is just coincidence or if the shuffle/ipod classic are not working.
Whe trying to sync my itunes with either of my devices I get so far then they both come up with the unknown error (-50).
I have been reading all the support from previous discussions and have tried the following but with no avail!!
Removed and reinstalled itunes as per apple recommnedations
removed all security protection from my computer
Checked apple mobile device USB
Restored ipod classic to factory settings (now no music on it!!!)
I have been through "Help > run diagnostics" and it looks like the ipod is recognised sometimes and not others
I have checked the SMART data:
Retracts: 1
Reallocs 8528
Pending Sectors: 112
Power On hours: 29
Start/Stop: 4501
Temp Min: 10c
Temp Max: 56c
I have all my music on an external hardrive. I have a PC laptop with Windows XP. I have previously had no problems with syncing itunes etc. Im worried about plugging my iphone 4 into my computer in case anything else goes wrong would I be able to?
Previously some music was transferring on (manually) but then it slowed right down and gave me the (-50) error and when I disconnected the ipod (did not eject but never have done previously) all the music was gone!
Please please please help before I lose the will!!!

.pdf files in iBooks on original iPad don't appear when trying to sync to MAC

Original iPad has .pdf files in iBooks. When trying to sync to MAC these filles don't present themselves so I can select them to be synced.

Did you try using the transfer purchase feature of iTunes? I know that these may not be purchased PDF files, and it is only supposed to work with iTunes purchases, but I have done this myself with PDF files in iBooks.

When I start my computer I get a "AppleSyncNotifier.exe Entry Point Not Found message. I also get an error message when trying to sync with iTunes that a backup session cannot be started. How do I fix this?

In the last few days when I start my computer, I get a box that opens with "AppleSyncNotifier.exe" Entry Point Not Found in the title.
It says: "The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQlite3.dll.

The last time I tried to sync my phone (iPhone 3G S) with iTunes, everything seemed to freeze up at Stage 4 of the sync process.

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well
In case that your OS is Windows 7 (64 bit)
1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
3. Open new windows explorer, to to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
4. Paste file "SQLite3.dll" to the location.
5. Reboot your computer, it should not display that message, it should be clear.

Has anyone had an additional black screen tab appear within the apps sync screen when there are no apps on the tab?

The description of the question that I have put as the title is probably as clear as mud! LOL
So i have attached a picture so that you can hopefully see what i am trying to explain!
When I sysnc'd my iphone I suddenly has a "spare" black apps tab appear within iTunes but on the actual phone i only have the top tab appearing!?
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
This is also doing the exact same thing on my work iphone!?

Do you have iTunes installed on your laptop, and if so has the iPad been connected/synced to it ? If you don't have iTunes installed on it then you can download and install it from here : http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

If you are using a PC then you should be able to copy photos off the iPad via the windows camera wizard, if you are using a Mac then iPhoto, Aperture and Image Capture can be used

In terms of copying your documents so that you have a copy of them outside of the iPad backup (just in case the backup gets corrupted and can't be restored back to the iPad), then it depends upon what the apps that the documents are in support - some use the file sharing section on the device's Apps tab on your computer's iTunes, some allow transfer to/from a computer via your wifi network, in some you can email them, use Dropbox etc.
When connected to your computer's iTunes you can also do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy the apps and any music, tv shows etc that you've downloaded from iTunes over to your computer - they are not included in the actual (just the apps content and settings), so for the restore to be able to work they will need to be on your computer's iTunes library so that they can be copied back

Apple TV logo appears when trying to play a video

Hi Guys, wondering if you can provide a bit of guidance.
I am encoding video using the Elgato Turbo 264 stick using their software (as well as the quicktime component).
The files encode without a problem, and are in the right format (h.264 codec, right size, right bitrate etc), and they import and play in itunes without a problem. they also sync to the apple tv without a problem.
when i try to select a file to play on the atv, it attempts to load, then the apple logo appears on the screen for 2 or 3 seconds, then it goes straight back to the root menu (movies/tv/music etc).
this problem has never occured before i updated the elgato software to the latest version, and 2 video-ts folders I encoded synced and played without a problem.
anything you know that could solve this issue would be great - i don't want to have to revert back to the old elgato software!

I have the same problem and it appears to be random.
I encoded a stream of 8, 45" videos from identical source material using identical settings. 6 of the 8 worked fine, the other 2 exhibit exactly the same behavior (the mysterious apple log appearance). One thing I have noted is that when I switch sources and attempt to play from iTunes, the same thing happens EVEN THOUGH iTunes displays the stills from the first frames in the menu. The other interesting thing is than when the ATV dumps me unceremoniously out to the menu from my iTunes source, it has switched the source back to ATV from iTunes. This happens 100% of the time.
All the files in question play fine in iTunes - but that is not particularly helpful.

Error message when trying to Sync with itunes

I seem to get error messages when I try to sync with itunes. I have the iphone 3G. Also all my music and videos seem to have carried across, all except one, it's very odd. Latest error message reads:
"itunes could not connect with the itunes store. An unknown error occurred (11556)."
I have also an error message saying it cannot sync and error message number 0050.
Any clues?

This error is associated with ringtones, are you trying to sync a ringtone, purchase a ringtone...need more info...
