Black screen when loading CP4 movie in flash layer

Since I installed the latest Flash Player 11.1 I've encountered a strange probleem. When I load a CP4 SWF movie (with standard CP preloader) sometimes I get a black screen. I can't find the problem? Who does have an idea where to find the problem?

On that occasion it turned out to be an issue with Text Animations in Cp5 being incompatible with the new version of FP.
Since you're on Cp4 and you're using a totally different version of Flash Player it would seem unlikely to be the same issue, but your mention of a Black Screen makes me wonder if perhaps there might be some element from Cp4 which is conflicting.
You can try a process of elimination to locate the slide or slides on which the conflict might exist. Just hide all slides in one half of the project and publish to see if the issue remains. If it does, unhide all of the first slides and then hide all slides in the other half of the project. If the issue is resolved, keep hiding specific groups of slides until you locate the issue. If it's confined to a single slide, try deleting elements on the slide and then publishing to see if you can find the offending item.

Why do I get a black screen when loading pdf from internet

I have a MacBook Pro and upgraded to Adobe Reader 11.0.06. Now when I attempt to download a pdf from the internet, the Reader screen opens but the text portion of the screen is black. I can open pdf file i have previously saved.

Another possibility to to use the Schubert PDF plug in. It has been around for years and works great.

Black screen when loading some apps

Hi everyone,
On certain apps I have bought like Angry Birds and AgingBooth the iPhone screen just goes black and takes me back to the home screen about 10 seconds later, Anybody know why?

Try rebooting and try again.
To reboot:
Hold BOTH the HOME and LOCK BUTTONS
DO NOT let go when it says Slide to Turn Off.
Keep holding BOTH even after screen goes black.
You can let go when you see the Apple Logo.

I get a black screen when trying to watch a movie on itunes

I have a laptop that I take to work. I am a teacher at a school. When using my school internet, I am able to see my movies in itunes. But, when I take my laptop home and use my internet, I get a black screen when trying to view a movie.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
Make sure that you do not block third-party images, the permissions.default.images pref should be 1.

I have a similar problem! Windows 7 shutdown unexpectedly and since that I can not reboot in windows anymore only with safe mode where everything is a mess.
Also when it's trying to reboot in windows a blue window appears,says something about drivers and it is counting something (79.78...till100)but I m not able to read it cause it disappears immidiately and then black screen and then it turns to reboot in mac which works fine.
I m sorry if I confused you with my english...

MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB - Black Screen When trying to load games

Ok so I've been trying to figure this out the past 2 weeks and cant figure out whats wrong.
Whenever I try and load a game more my screen goes black and I can hear sound but nothing is is being displayed. I cant task manager out or ALR-TAB out. It just sits there and I have to power down my computer manually.
I've re-installed the drivers and have tried a different power supply since those are the 2 things I thought it would be and nothing is working.
Any help would be very much appreciated

Black screen after P35 NEO-F BIOS Flash to v2.1

Hey Out There
I just upgraded my motherboard P35 Neo-F to bios version 2.1. With the tool from this forum.
After that the PC shows a black screen when booted, I have then tryed to clear the CMOS by removing the battery and switching the jumpers place.
After that i booted, and came up with wrong CMOS. F1 to run setup, F2 to load defaults CMOS settings. I then pressed F2 and booted into Windows.
I then found out that my 3Ghz processor was only running at 2Ghz. I then rebooted to check the bios settings, but it only shows a black screen when it tryes to boot.
I have to clear the CMOS to get into windows...
What could be wrong???
Hope one out there can help me.

Not a lot as 2.xx BIOSes are normally not available for manual download, but only from "Live Update"

From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Extensions tab. If you have any installed, turn that off, then relaunch Safari. Try a PDF file.
If it's not Extensions, open a Finder window. Select MacintoshHD in the Sidebar on the left. Now open the Library folder then the Internet Plug-Ins folder. If you see any files such as this:
AdobePDF Browser or Viewer Plug-in
Move it to the Trash, relaunch Safari.

IMac black screen when streaming to Appletv

Does anyone have any idea why my 1 year old iMac gives me a black screen when we are watching a movie with our Appletv. Once we stop streaming the movie the iMac will respond again. It is running Lion with all the software updates.

You should disconnect ALL cables when you do this procedure. When you reconnect the power cord, if you have been using an old or crowded power strip, try connecting it directly to a wall outlet, at least for this test. Power it up with just nothing connected, except for the power cord.

Ipod camera black screen when opened and sync prob HELP!!!

hello i just went to open the camera on my ipod touch 4g and it just went black just a black screen when i press the home button it goes straight to the home screen everything else is fine i just open the camera and a black screen appears, it is working fine now but just wondering if it is faulty or somthing.
some times it does not sync i will plug it into the computes usb port and it wont charge i takes about 3 to 6 tries to get it to work any help thanks

Same thing just happened to me, found another solution though.
Plug the USB cable into your PC/base of iPod Touch.
Turn off the iPod completely.
Wait 10 seconds and re-power the iPod.
Now load up the camera; and the screen should be back to normal.
I have similar screen freeze issue with my Sony Erricson K700i Mobile phone, and plugging in the 'power' cable always resolves it, so it would seem to be of the same method used to resolve this iPod issue!!
Strange thing as you've posted, all other apps etc still work. Maybe support will get around to resolving this bug!!

I am getting a black screen when publishing in Captivate 4. I have noticed patches that care for this with later versions, but is there something available for version 4.

Black screen when opening MJPG video in AE

Im getting a black screen when i open an avi video (mjpg codec) in after effects.
Video works fine in programs like windows media player and VLC
Also other videos work fine in AE, like H264 and FPS1 codecs (dunno what FPS1 is but i have a video and it says FPS1 is codec and it works)
oh yeah and im using AE CS5.5

Read my post again - AE doesn't handle DirectDraw CoDecs that require DirectX based hardware acceleration. And playclaw is one such CoDec. Whether or not it plays elsewhere is utterly irrelevant at this point. You need to convert it to something AE can use, that is a bog standard legacy AVI that uses the old GDI mode, or at least provides a playback component for that. Anything from an uncompressed AVI file to HuffYUV to an image sequence or even a Quicktime movie, just not what you have currently.

AIR - black screen when packaged

When I run the application from Flash Develop everything is fine, both in Debug and Release.
After the application is packaged and installed, I just get a black screen when run.
However if I add a 'debug' file to applicationDirecty\META-INF\AIR\debug the application runs normally.
What could be causing this? and how can it be solved?

A debugging utility seemed to be causing the problem in the release build... removing calls to this solved the issue.

Black screen when turned on, stays black.

When turned on, it stays at a black screen. Caps lock key light flashes, and Wi-Fi amber light is on. That's about it. I took off the battery for 15 minutes then tried again, nothing.
