Black scrren

i'm compiling a flash and everything goes find but when i put
the size to 315*2000, maybe it's a bit a strange size but it is
what i need, everything appears black without any image.
anybody knows about that?
is flash cs3 giving you problems? cos i have had a bit of
them.

Recently I purchased Restaurant Empire 2 for my pc and I downloaded and installed the game but everytime I try to play it, the first screen loads then a black screen comes up with error message " error opening file SHADER/shadowmi/cubemap+shadow.pso."
I have sims 3 installed on my computer and runs with no problem so I assumed this game should be able to run too. Please help.

My ipad 2 (ios 6.1.2) continuously drops wifi and every few minutes, i receive tha black scrren with the apple... Any ideas on resolving? It is VERY frustrating!   If it helps, wifi is connected to our secured home internet.

Help......every few mins my wifi disconnects AND i rec the black display with the apple.... Any ideas to resolve? I am connected to secured home internet and have not connected to cellular svc.

Try #5.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Black Scrren Of Death?

My iPod kept freezing constantly when I downloaded firmware 1.2, and I couldn't restore it or anything. Somehow I got 1.2.1 on the pod, and now the screen turns black within seconds of turning it on! What to do?

HT1657 Why do my movie downloads recently playback with no audio/visual? I just get a black screen. It's happened to 3 movies I have downloaded in the past week or two. I never had this problem before. Why do I now?

Why do I have download issues all of a sudden: black scrren, no video,audio, visual, just a black screen. It's happened 3 times in the past two weeks! After two downloads, it was still an issue. At least iTunes gave me a refund, but this is frustrating because I like to download and watch films and tv shows! Thanks for any helpful feedback. iTunes reps don't tell me why there is a problem. They just issue a refund and send me on my way!

It is easy enough to try. Drag the MacKeeper.app to the trash. It should pop-up a message asking if you really want to delete. You do. Iphone 4 has a black screen which will display the apple logo for approx 10 seconds, then goes blank for 10 seconds and so on. I have tried a hard reset with power button and home button but no change. Get no response when attempting to connect to itune

I have attempted hard reset but cannot complete. Also attempted to connect with itunes and it does not recongize device.
Device is frozen in this display loop. Have an appointment with genius bar tomorrow but it's a 2.5 hour round trip so suggestion appreciated.

Your device may need to be restored as new in iTunes (instead of restored from a back up as it seems that there is a software issue on your phone).
If your phone is not able to connect in iTunes try forcing recovery mode (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808)
* power off your phone.
* Hold the home button while connecting your phone to iTunes. You should see the connect to iTunes window and your computer should give you the recover mode alert.
*Restore your device as new. Being sure not to restore from a previous back up.
You will then want to sync your information back to your device from Outlook, iCloud, Google or wherever your information is stored.

My 4s phone has gone black and just have an apple sitting on the screen. Have restore it 3 times after updating it and now will not work

Have a 4S after udpating software I can no longer use it. Black scrren with apple log is all I have. Have restore it 3 times and it worked then had another small update and this is now what I am left with.

It sounds like you are unable to boot your phone completely. I recommend resetting the phone with this process:
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Please include your full model number when posting problems on the forums. It can be found on the bottom of your laptop.
Try uninstalling Stopzilla in Safe Mode.

Satellite A200-TJ5 --- Black Screen on boot

Hi all,
Here's the story:
I played poker yesterday with my laptop and suddenly the screen freeze. i.e. No more mouse/keyboard, date/time freezed.
There's no battery in my laptop so i unplugged the power supply.
When i plugged it in, i pushed the power button. The fan came on, the blue leds of Power cord, Power came in. The Hard disk led start blinking. But the screen was black ! No backlight at all. The computer don't seemed to boot as the hard disk light wasn't blinking anymore after 5 sec. or so.
I've done theses steps 3-4 times. No results.
I managed to check the memory, swapped the 2x 2gig sodimm with 2x1gig sodimm i've got, same effect, the screen stay black. Rollback on this...
Waited 5 minutes without battery/power cord. Everything booted right.
I ran a memory diagnostic tool for 24h after that, no problem at all.
I've already got the last bios version.
I found in this forum the solution to Remove Power, let sit for 30 minutes and the black scrren is gone. But i don't think it is a long term solution.
I'm afraid about this problem. (Black Screen) since i understand it is a hardware fault ?
Do someone know more about this kind of issue?

Hmmm. Possibly its an hardware issue but as you know its really not easy to provide any suggestions without any detailed notebook /hardware checks.
So if you want, you can contact the nearest ASP in your country and can ask for the notebook diagnostic test.

I have a HP Pavilion tx2510us Entertainment Notebook PC (original installed with Windows Vista) upgraded to Windows 7. When I power on the machine all I get is a black scrren. I can hear the fan, and see lites on but the screen stays black, I have taken all peripherals out, I have rtaken the memory out and put it back, I have treied an alternate monitor, I have tried to get into bios. I have also done a hard reset (took battery out, unconnected the ac power and held the power button down). An recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hello JORDANWILL822. I understand you're unable to get your notebook to properly boot.
This is definitely a hardware problem. You're unable to get a picture on the internal or external monitors. However, the notebook appears to be powering on and otherwise running. This means that it is likely that the video card is no longer functioning properly.
I would suggest checking the cable connection first. Here is a link to your notebook's Maintenance and Service Guide. This covers the disassembly of the notebook and would be invaluable for checking the connection.
If the connection is secure then you likely need to have the notebook repaired.
If the notebook isn't in warranty I suggest taking it to a local computer repair shop. This sort of problem is really best diagnosed hands-on. Many times these shops will even diagnose the issue while you're in the store.
If the notebook is in warranty or you'd like to inquire about a repair through HP I suggest contacting support. If you're in the US/Canada the number is 1-800-474-6836. If you're in another part of the world you'll need to visit HP Support Worldwide to get your region's contact information.

Display not working Properly please help???

Hey all I have read thru about 25 pages of different posts relating to the video screen problem, and none see to be exactly like mine. I have 1st genereation IMAC G5, that had the orginally logic board problem where screen wouldnt come on at all, i got it fixed once under apple care warranty, then i had another problem where system kept crashing causing automatic restart which apple store genuis bar said was also logic board, this time i was out of applecare coverage but, i got ot covered thru the extension program that just ended in dec '08. Last week when i got home my screen was off, i restarted by holding pwer button down, then i got partial screen( only dock bar items, prgrams, & etc where showing, no desktop files), so i restarted again and got this strange pixeliate screen after loading(see image: http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s183/nofate21/Picture001.jpg), so i rrestarted know during loading process I get normal apple logo, but with horizontal pink lines running thru screen at variables( see image:http://s152.photobucket.com/albums/s183/nofate21/?action=view&current=Picture003 .jpg & also http://s152.photobucket.com/albums/s183/nofate21/?action=view&current=Picture003 .jpg). Now it varies when i restart CPU, sometimes I get completely black screens, sometimes i get blue screen with nothing, and the last couple of times I get a black scrren with a mouse cursor that moves normally. i have also tried restarting while hook-up to external display(my lcd TV) and I get same image (although minus the intermittent/variable horizontal pink lines), please help with any suggestion or even advice( such as trash it, try to fix with ordered parts, etc) Have appt with genuis bar, but already know the will say $800-1000 for new logic board or whatever

I am part of the unlucky ones who didnt't have applecare or the extended warranty. My iMac broke down 8 months ago. I no longer have any display. The strange thing was I left it at home because I went to uni, so there was a period of at least 10 months where it was not used. But still it failed within a few weeks of me getting back home. I was sucked in by their adverts making me believe they were a superior computer to any windows based. How wrong was I. It has now left me with a very bitter taste.
Any of you guys know if it still will work if I connect an external monitor?

MBP Failing Hard Drive

My late 2007 15" MBP seems to be having a hard drive on the edge of failure. Coincidence or not, it comes the day after the Apple Store replaced my logic board because of the NVidia card failure associated with the black scrren of death. No indications of hard drive problems prior to the repair, but now upon booting it takes almost 10 minutes to boot, and there is now a progress bar below the spinning wheel on the startup screen which I had never seen before. I also had a brief period where the keyboard stopped working. When I returned to the Apple store today, they first thought it was a keyboard issue and were going to replace the keyboard, but then they diagnosed it as a hard drive problem. It could be as simple as needing to repair damaged permissions, or could require a full restore of the drive. Before doing anything, I wanted to bring it home and make sure everything was backed up. Had been using TM for backups to my Time Capsule, but keep getting messages that the TC is full - thought it was supposed to delete older backups as it needed room for new ones.
Anyway, I also bought a new 2TB HD to backup to, and tried doing so using Super Duper. It got started, then after what was about an hour of backing up it appeared to freeze up - the progress bar still was shimmering, but not moving and the amount of files examined/backed up was no longer changing. Stayed this way for about an hour. I tried to quit the few programs running, but everything was locked up and even force quitting did not work. Had to do a hard restart of the MBP again. Am now trying to do a TM backup to the new HD.
What I need to know most is how can I backup as efficiently as possible while avoiding having to keep restarting the MBP? Would booting from the OSX disk help out? If need be I can take the hard drive out of the MBP and put it in an external case and then try to access it from another Mac. Just want to get the files fully backed up and then go about figuring out the HD, which by the way is only one year old as I replaced the original HD last year.

You noticed. This has been an ongoing thing with a certain person. I'm not going to bother getting into it with said person yet again. I've seen this attitude in most career IT people I've met, and I do understand it. Given the time/energy/repair person's wage, it's almost always less expensive to simply replace the HD (I'd like to have all the HDs our IT dept throws out, before they "throw" them in the trash/bash them around; I'd bet many of them are in working order). I just wish they'd understand that we're not all repair techs, these are often our personal machines, too many people do not have adequate backups, and some of us actually like tinkering with things like this (which is the main reason I'm here ). I get satisfaction out of reviving things that others have written off, and given the state of resources on this-a-here planet, I wish more people would adopt a "repair instead of replace" attitude in this "throw-away" society; RRR=Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, in that order (steps off soapbox ).
As far as this drive's issue being caused by its hardware failing, that has yet to be seen. All that said, I would keep an eye on it for awhile before trusting it to a normal degree. It certainly could turn out that the HD is indeed dying, and not to state the obvious, but all HDs kept in use will die at some point.

Music not working on iPhone after iOS 5 upgrade

Apparently I spoke too soon- To review, ever since I upgraded to iOS 5, the iPod functionality of my iPhone (ie all of my music) doesn't function. It worked for the first day or so, then when I tried to start the app, it would present with a blank white screen for about 10 seconds, then just quit. I've restarted, reset, and restored, and the only thing that helped was restoring (I've restored about 4 times now). It would then work for about a day, then not work again. I eventually got tired of restoring, and just 'unsynced' my music, then resynced again. That would again work for about a day, then I'd have to repeat that process. Now, not even resyncing my music works.
Otherwise the phone seems to be working well- no other app issues or usage issues. I'd occasionally get an error (-34) or (-50) while syncing, but I'd just 'eject' the phone, and reattach and it would sync.
I'm using iCloud for backup, and I'm syncing wirelessly, unless I restore or unsync my music, at which time I'll hook it directly to the computer.
Any suggestions?

Sorry, but no suggestions....I have the same problem I think... my music app just goes to a white screen then back to the home page. if i search for a song it will find it, but when i try to play it, i get a black scrren, then just back to home page. the app has worked a lot, but this has happened a few times prior and has resolved itself (not sure how), but now i can't get my music to work at all. video, everything else works...this is on iphone4s with ios 5.0.1. there's a definite bug here and hopefully enough people will complain about it to get apple to fix it! I get the feeling it has something to do with a large music library (I have 46GB) and large/complex playlists. I also seem to have a syncing problem in that music rating changes made on iphone don't get syncd back to by windows pc library. I noticed this just before the music app stopped working completely. Apple.. please help!

In the first time the driver wasn't recongnized, then a download 'microdia-git' from AUR, now the driver is up.

unfortunately the webcam won't work even after following your recommendations. After all dmesg gives the following output:
