Black Spot on Photos

I have recently discovered a black spot while taking photos using my 6 Plus. It shows up on all of my photos. All of my lenses are perfectly clean. Any ideas on what has caused this? And no, I haven't dropped it at all.

Do you see the spot only on the phone when viewing or on the computer as well?

  • Black Spots before still photos in movie

Hey There, I'm new to iMovie and seem to be getting a black spot after a transition and just before a still photo. I don't know what it is or how to remove it? Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something I need to change with the transition or the photo? I hope someone can help

    Take a look at iPhoto.
It has more features for image formats and works well with iDVD.
Your original image files will be reduced in dimensions to fit the TV "safe viewing" area (about 640X480).
To get the iPhoto slideshow "movie" onto your iPad you will export it to QuickTime format and select the iPad preset and then add it to your iTunes Library.

  • Black spot on "Camera" taking photos, not videos

Hello everybody. I hope that you can help me. Today I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS6 and now I have a black spot up and left side of the camera. First I thought that it was something stuck to the lens, but it wasn't and when i set up the camera to use it to take a video the black spot doesn't appeirs. I've turned off the Camera app, the iPhone, I've tryed to change the options, puting in landscape mode, everything... and nothing happens. Also, when I use another app that uses the camera... it doesn't show the black spot.
Is a problem with iOS6?. Does someone know how to fix it?... Somebody has the same problem?... anything that can help me .
    Thanks!

(and by the way, of course the iPhone didn't received any punch)

  • Black spots when taking a picture

When I take photos or videos, two black spots appear at the screen, this just happens when taking a photo or video so I guess that it might be something with the camera. I would like to know why is this happening and if there is any solution. This is really annoying so please help me,

Are the spots in the same places every time? Do you have an example picture?

  • MacBook Pros and the case getting black spots?

My old PB17 had all sorts of problems with the area around the keypad starting to get "black spots" after a few months of use.
I got the case replaced once because I complained about it, and then put a pad-thingie around the trackpad, where I rest my palms. So it is pristeen right now and for when I sell or give away the old one.
Now that my new MacBook Pro has I arrived I was wondering: these cases looks the same as the old PB - so do they have the same "black holes in the aluminum" problem?

Yup, MacBook Pro's are affected by this. Mine is having quite the significant problem with these little speckles.

  • Adding color to an object in a black and white photo

Can someone please help? I just bought Aperture and I was wondering if it is possible to add color to an object in a black and white photo? or keep an object in color and turn the rest of the picture into black and white?
    Thanks

    Hi
I am 90% sure this cannot be specifically done in Aperture as it can in Photoshop.
I assume you mean adding spot colour to a B&W photograph.
You can choose an external editor such as Photoshop, if you have it, create the effect, and re-import the image back into Aperture.
There are some powerful colour controls for selectively improving colour in a photo within Aperture. Whereby you can make a particular colour stand out more by selectively adjusting the red, blue, cyan, magenta, yellow colour's. These are accessed via the colour controls in the adjustments inspector.
You can create B&W images with two tones (of your choice) by using the Monochrome mixer ( in the adjustments panel )
Or you can create colour monochrome effects by using the colour monochrome effects slider ( in the adjustments panel, where you see a + sign with a downward pointing arrow ) click the arrow and select "colour monochrome" from the menu, it will appear at the bottom of the adjustments panel.
Give some of these a go..... play around with it, you can get some stunning result's..........
    Hope this helps some.......

  • Black spot on the camera

Two random black spots appeared on my camera display, the phone didn't get wet or anything, seems like dirt from the inside...  should I take it to apple's customers service? anybody with the same problem?
    thank you

I have the same issue - perhaps not exact but extremely similar.  In photo mode, there is a small purplish speck, which I initially thought as dust or something, and of course it ends of in photos taken.  However, this speck is not present in video mode, meaning there is no dust, but some sort of artifact on the photo processor or something.  Either way, itsa product defect - I plan on seeing if Apple will support this and replace thephone.....

A block dot on the viewfinder is a piece of dust either on the mirror or or the focus screen.
You can try using a bulb blower to remove it (Don't use caned air).
Do NOT try to wipe it off as you will likely scratch something and make it worse.
It will not show up in your photos, so it's really doesn't affect the function of the camera.

  • CS6 suddenly shows black spots?

Since today i've gotten some problems with CS6
When i import an NEF file into photoshop some photo's suddenly get some black area's
On bridge or Gimp the photo's are how they should be... but in photoshop i'm getting this:
If i change the channel mode from 8bit to 32bit it looks just fine... but i cant edit anything....
It will probably be an setting i've missed or something.. but i'm really stuck, i cant finish my pictures in photoshop!
Video drivers are up to date.
    Mode =rgb color - 8bit
I never had any problems until now... i really hope somebody can help me.

What black spots are you referring-to?  That the shadowed areas have gone to pure black?

Do you have an ATI card?
There was an ATI driver problem prior to the 13.4 release where any time the red channel would reach 0 the whole color would go to pure black.  Does the problem go away if you choose Image - Adjust - Curves, then raise the black point of the Red channel to 1 or higher?
When you say your video drivers are up to date, do you have the latest release (Catalyst 13.4) from AMD's web site?  The Catalyst 13.4 release is generally the one that solves the aforementioned problem.

  • IMac 27 - black spots

    Hi.
Yesterday I noticed black spots on the right side (top corner) of the screen (three months iMac 27 - C2D). What is this? Does anyone had a similar problem? It's very frustrating:/
    Photo: http://img690.imageshack.us/i/plamy.jpg/
I know about flickering and yellow tinge issues... but I haven't heard about black spots in new models:/

    Hi Tim,
I had the same problem, twice. I bought mine in October of 2009 and I noticed these marks sometime around December but I didn't do anything about it because at first I just thought it was dirt. I was gonna let it go for a while. Well when I finally decided to clean it I noticed it wasn't coming out. Upon closer inspection I realized that the marks were on the glass, and that they were progressivly getting worse.
So on February 18th I took it to an Apple store. At first the tech told me they were going to replace the entire thing because this was a problem Apple wanted to see. He got all the way to the end of the replacement and said, "Oh.. this particular production is not one they want to see, sorry, but we can only repair it." Whatever, as long it was fixed what do I care. So they ordered a new LCD panel for me, and 3 days later I got it back looking nice and new.
Fast forward 3 weeks later... The spots started coming back! This time there were more of them. So I boxed this thing up again, brought it back to the store thinking this time I could get it replaced. Obviously theres another issue. So after explaining myself to the "genius", he told me that Apple just happened to switch manufactures of there LCD panel this last month, so if they repaired it again, I would not run into this problem anymore. I was pretty ****** but they wouldn't do anything but repair it. Again I was without my iMac for another 3 days and I just got it back 2 days ago. So far the panel is looking okay, but at the first sign of anything I'll be back.
Moral of the story.. call them or go to you Apple store and get the panel replaced before its too late.

  • How do I remove black spots on silver side of iPhone 5 and what is it??

How do I remove black spots on silver side of iPhone 5 and what is it?? Is it the silver rubbed off which I don't understand as I have been using a silicon case. Or is it due to trapped dirt within the silicon case somehow embedded now? I have tried to rub it off with a cloth and water but it doesn't work.

Hi no if you zoom in a bit on the photo you can see little black specks. I had to compress the photo as only a 2mb limit on here for files so it's quite hard to see. They are all along the side of it on the silver and at the top of the phone as well.

  • IPod 4th gen screen lifting and black spot, what do I do?

Ok so like 2 months ago my iPod 4th gen screen started lifting. I was like woah I have to get that fixed but the weird part was that I had never dropped it. Also after a while it started getting a black spot right next to where it was lifting. I ignored it at first because it was small but then it started getting bigger. My case has kept it together but to clean it I have to take it off and when I snapped it back on the corner where it was lifting cracked. I don't know if this was something like they didn't put on the screen right but I don't wanna have to pay so much to fix something that they did if it was their fault. Help please what do I do
    Would the warranty cover this?

If the iPod was not abused it is covered by the warranty.
