Black stripes on the back of MB case!!!

it has been there for a long time now, it does not look very visible on the photo but it's quite remarkable in real
since its on the bottom i didnt care it too much
now i finally decide to ask if it matters or not, my warranty will expire this june, this is a 1st generation mb but i did'nt see any discolor problem (yet, i used mareware pad for 6 months, ) like many 1st gen owners do.
and i verified that the case does not touch the desk so i dont think it's due to the over heating, althought it is hot...

my mb didnt (had never) shut itself down due to heat, but, for some reason, maybe the way it looks, i am convinced that it is caused by the heat.
overheat: i mean the case does not touch the table, only 4 support feet touch the desk, so it's not like a cloth iron that could change the color of anything that touchs it...
that should be the marware protective pad
i dont know if it's covered by the warranty, and that's what i want to know
i think the 1st gen. is the core duo version and newer are core 2 duo
im not sure i explaind it clearly -_-!!

When I scan it has a wide black stripe on the side. Full page height and 3.6 inches wide. This shows up as a print copy or when I use the Image Capture utility.

I see you are having copy and scan issues. I would like to help.
I would recommend performing a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also suggest following the steps in this document on Vertical Bands, Lines, or Streaks in Copies, Faxes, or Scans.

Slight scratches in the black part of the back

Hi,
being said in the subject I've got some slight scratches or rather abrasions in the black part of the back of the iPhone. Probably caused due to the cradle because they are all in the same line. Anyone expierenced the same? And is there a way to get them off?

I'm continually amazed at how much people are concerned about slight scratches to the iPhone. I know it's a great looking piece of kit, but it's bound to suffer some wear and tear given it's usage pattern. I'm reminded of the time I bought a new car and had sleepless nights when i found a small scratch on it. After a few months, it didn't really bother me that much.
The part you need to protect is the screen, which you look at all the time. It's pretty scratch resistant, but it makes sense to buy some sort of case to protect it when it's in your pocket with keys and/or pens. There are plenty of threads on the "best" case around.
If the scratches are a real bother, you can easily buy a replacement back cover from ebay for $15 at: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230212988581.
But note that doing this yourself will void the warranty.

I know a lot of people with iphone 5 and have never heard them complain about top button always brake and screen that decides to pop off or the back of their case is bending.
That sounds like a phone that has been dropped a numerous times.

Regza LCD HDTV 52XF550U has wide black stripes on the right side

Hi, my 2008 REGZA LCD 52XF550U has wide black stripes on the right side. I think the problem started within 24 months from my purchase. And the stripes are getting wider.
I have tried to reset the setup, power off and on, all to no avail. See attached picture.
If someone can shed light on this problem and its (preferably permanent) fix and approx. cost, it will be greatly appreciated. I could simply chug this Toshiba LCD and buy another non-Toshiba HDTV, but I think that would be wasteful if it can be fixed.

I also have the same problem. I have had the TV for about 4 years; started right after third year. I have not been able to fix it either....Time to buy a new TV, but defintely not a Toshiba!

If you mean the one in the upper right when looking at the back it is the antenna cover. The plastic allows the radio waves to get the antenna.

I agree with xaver. You dont have many options for such hardware related issues and I also would recommend contacting an authorized service provider. The guys can check your notebook and repair it for free during warranty time.
Here we can only discuss about Toshiba notebook and share our experience but for such hardware problems you need professional help.

I am creating a Photo Book on iPhoto, when I previewed it, it appears a black strip on the border of each page, how can I solve this?

'm doing a photo book in iPhoto, when I do a preview I get an edge on the outside border of each sheet. The edge is small, and seems to be a repeatition of the cover page. I did a preview in PDF and then appears as a black or white line. Can anyone help?

The photos is the book tray are sorted by date. So to get them in the order you want you need to do this;
1 - group them in an album and manually sort in the order you want.
2 - select all and go to the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Date menu option.
3 - select a 1 minute time differential between photos and click OK.
4- add the photos to a book and they will be in the order you need.

oops - ok, pixma mp970 was doing above, now i just placed a new black ink cartridge and it's saying it can't detect any ink and won't let me do anything else. maddening! any suggestions??? thanks! victoria

For testing purposes, please remove and reinstall the black ink tank. Also, make sure that the correct tank is installed in both blacks lots.

20wm monitor black strip

After accidently hitting the auto adjust/OK button, I can't seem to get rid of this black strip on the left side on my screen. Even after I manually adjust it, there's still a half inch off the screen. When I hit auto adjust again, it just goes back to the original inch-of-black-doom. What do I do to fix it?
Ps: I've also tried the whole unplug, wait 10 seconds, the plug it back in AND the reset to factory default. Both go back to the inch of black screen on the side.

I understand that after using the Auto-Adjust on your monitor you are not able to remove a black line on your screen. As you have already tried adjusting the monitor I would suggest you try changing the resolution on your computer and then resetting it back to the resolution that you are using 1600x900.

HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPP! My cm1312 all in one printer prints black stripes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My hp all in one does weird thing today - Printing black stripes! Ouch!
I bought this last year and I don't want to spend a lot of money on it. Does anyone know how to fix it? Also, I am trying to do a regular maintenance by myself, does anyone know what kind of thing I should do to keep it running properly? Any good tip helps!

I have the same problem. I bought my CM1312 in May 2010 and since last week, it's been printing horizontal black stripes over the regular printing. Those lines are really black...darker on the front of the page and lighter on the back. The first page I print in the morning is usually all black and then it goes away as I print. But it comes back if I stop printing for an hour or two.... I'm guessing some kind of a leak... I also have very very light vertical stripes on the paper. I had the both kind of stripes but very light...and I changed the cartridge and now it's absolutly unreadable. Help please
