Black textboxes displayed in 3rd party form

Hello
I am calling a 3rd party application form that contains various control
like textboxes and radiobuttons etc. When I launch this form from within
the C3PO, some textboxes are black. This only happens when I launch the
form as part of the C3PO. If I launch the form in its own application
outside GW it displays perfectly.
I have also noticed that it works under Win2K, but fails under XP and that
it only happens with GW 7. It works fine with GW 6.5
Any ideas?

Retina Display MBP - 3rd party optical drive

Hi,
I have just received my retina display macbook pro. I would like to view blu-ray movies on the retina display.
For this reason, I think it would be better to purchase a 3rd party bluray drive instead of the apple superdrive.
Is there any reason the apple superdrive would be preferable to a third party device? Maybe better integration with the OS?
Also, does anybody have any recommendations from these three drives:

Asus SBW-06C2X-U
Sony BDX-S500U

I am aware that I will need additional software to play Blu Ray movies.
I am however wondering if a third party drive will be euqally well integrated with Mac OS.
For example, with a non-apple optical drive, will I still be able to right click on a file and click "Burn .... to Disc"?
Will I be able to boot from a non-apple USB optical drive?
Does anybody know any reason why any one of the drives I mentioned is preferable to the other two?

3rd party Forms analysis tools

Anybody heard of any tools for performing analysis on Forms? Currently using 6i, but am migrating to 10g shortly. We had been using SQL-Impact, but one of our developers said it won't work with 10g.
Specifically we need the ability to see a nice report/list of database object usage for a form and to see what forms are using a particular database object. Things like select vs insert vs update analysis would be nice too. The Object List Report currently in Forms is pretty useless, as it just dumps the entire in a poorly searchable format.
I've been told that we won't be installing Oracle Designer anytime soon, so I'm guessing that is not an option either.

Did you look into using JDAPI for this. It is a very simple yet powerful API. you can mine any information from forms using JDAPI

3rd Party Plug-Ins causing Program Window to display Black

I've had this issue occur with 2 different 3rd Party Plug-Ins. The effect causing the issue at this particular moment is the new Magic Bullet Film plug-in, however, like I said this has happened in the past with a totally different plug-in (not related to Magic Bullet Suite at all, and was not a recent occurrence). At random times whilst color grading a project, sometimes when the play head moves, other times when a portion of the effect is altered in the effects panel, all of a sudden ALL clips that have said particular effect on them stop displaying video and instead anywhere I click in the timeline over any clip it just displays a black program monitor. There is no evidence of anything on any scopes, everything is just black. When I disable the effect in the effects panel everything goes back to normal, but if I re-check the effect it goes right back to black. The only fix I've found thus far is to close premiere and re-open it, but again, it keeps recurring at random times.
I'm currently running Premiere CC 2014 Build 8.2.0 (65) on Windows 8.1 with an Intel Core i7-3820 CPU.
If anyone else has either seen this or knows what the problem could be stemming from I would love some assistance with the issue.

The first time it occurred I did, because I had never seen the issue before on anything else so I thought it was specific to that plug-in, but now that it happened again with a totally different plug-in it makes me think its not the plug-in at all but instead Premiere that is causing the issue somehow.

"3rd Party" display iPhone 5

I recently went inside the apple store here in texas to see as to why my iPhone wouldn't charge correctly. Last year I had the same problem and someone was able to just clean the phone and tried it out and it worked fine. This time it was fairly busy, and one of the apple reps decided just to help me without an appointment. I told him the problem and he asked around for what looked like a sim card remover. After receiving one and started to use it to clean the charging port. I asked him if that was safe for the phone since it was a pointed metal tool. He stated, "It's fine, as long as I don't hit the charging prongs". Afterwards he did not bother to test to see if this in fact fixed my problem. Since it was back to school, he seemed very busy and just let me go on my way. Arriving home, several hours later I needed to charge my phone since it had died. Trying to charge it it did not work at all. Prior to going to the apple store, my phone would charge with the charger at a certain angle. A little frustrated I was wondering if the guy at the store had made me fry my phone since usually if the phone dies it still displays the battery asking to be plugged in. The display was completely black. The next day, I went back to the same apple store and asked about my issue. They took my phone to the back and eagerly tried to tell me my phone had a 3rd party display. The serial number on my display box was not the same as the one apple uses. I was confused because I have never fixed my phone in the whole two years that I have had it. I bought this phone from best buy on September 21st, the day the iphone 5 first dropped. I had it reserved and bought brand new with apples wrapping packaging stil on it. They said that they could not help me at all since it was a 3rd party display even though I have never gotten my phone fixed. They even stated maybe I had "forgotten" that I had it fixed. Already frustrated he even said that what his apple rep did would not have effected my display. My question is, has there ever been any issue with having a different serial number on the parts that apple uses or the phone it self?

Most likely used. Apple does not sell parts exect to AASPs who are not allowed to resell them.

Any suggestions for 3rd party plugins for Cross Dissolve, Film Dissolve & Dip to Black

I am using Cross Dissolve, Film Dissolve & Dip to Black on a premiere project (CS5.5 on Mac).
The results aren't smooth - between some clips, there's a banding on the clip.
I am looking for transitions that look professional like the ones seen in film trailers.
Any suggestions on 3rd party pluings and any other tips would be great help.

Adobe Muse form with 3rd party host is not working

I have uploaded a form with Adobe Muse to a 3rd party host. Upon testing the link scripts/form_check.php, I see 3 green checkmarks. Upon testing the form, the form appears to submit successfully, however I never receive the email.
I checked with the hosting company and this is what they said:
...this form is using localhost smtp of webserver which was stopped due to spamming issues...actually, localhost doesn't have proper rDNS record and the return path for all mails is the server itself, so whenever a client uses its domain for spamming the server's mail queue gets choked and creates issues for others. So we generally do not open localhost smtp and recommend users to use proper SMTP Authentication so that each mail will be delivered and won't create issues for server even if someone does spamming because in that case all mails will bounce back to the mailbox. So, we recommend you to use smtp authentication in the form and use proper smtp details to send mail.
Please provide a recommendation on what I should do to resolve this? Is there a way to modify the form so that it uses proper SMTP Authentication instead of Localhost?

Open a form from a 3rd party Java/Web based application

Hi All,
I am working for a client who has a 3rd party web application built in Java.
For one of his requirements, he wants to open a form, an apps standard form on the click of a button/url in their application.
This appears like a normal form opening from the single-signon screen where you have the self service single sign-on page, it opens the apps forms on click of the url. Can we use the same logic here? This being the case, just curious to know how is the url to open the form built? (I see that the function name, resp id etc are there in the url) So that, I can actually manipulate the url to open the forms from a url. Please see that the custom application also is included into our Oracle apps, so the user is already logged in. We just need to open the form from the click of a url/button.

If the ICX_SESSION is already available then the form(I am assuming you are refering to a web based form here) should open directly if the function should be accessible to the user logged in. When you say your custom application is included in Oracle apps are you launching these pages from the Ebiz home page through menus and functions ?

Issues with Form printing using a 3rd party software!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

We are printing our month end AR statements using Xerox DP100 printers. We are using a SAP Script as the layout form. Everything works perfectly alright when a direct print is issued to the printer. But the scenario here is the statements are sent to a 3rd party software so that the statements can be saved in their repository and made available to be viewed and printed whenever necessary. Now the issue is when this 3rd Party Software(TPS) reads the SAP generated PCL from its report store on the unix host and generates a PDF File that it presents to the web client user for (re)printing via his/her PC it appears that the TPS or Websphere or Adobe is performing a font substituion - replacing the Univers font(used in R/3) which is not loaded on the unix host with a different font(with different sizing and/or behavior).
As a result the horizontal and vertical positioning generated by SAP(which is correct for the Univers font) is 'wrong' for the substituted font. The fixed size fields print OK but gradually move to the right. The varying size amount columns do not align correctly and fall off the right side of the page.
Can anyone give me pointers on what can be done to arrest this error.
Does the font need to be loaded on the unix host or the font used in the form be changed?

Sap script behaves differently for different printers. You will have to change margins when you change your printer/software accordingly.

I switched something while perusing an ebay listing (right clicked?) and now it no longer displays the seller's images from their 3rd-party photo host (still works in IE). How do i reverse this?

Sellers can use eBay's image system to display their items, or use a 3rd-party that allows more and large images to be displayed directly within the description of the item. With this problem, the resulting listings are also completely messed up because of the change in layout (no pics).
i have checked many other listings and they show on IE but not FF. It occurred in mid-swing so i know i accidentally switched something, but am not sure how to get it back.

PDF form auto-notification/pop-up on 3rd Party PDF readers

My livecycle generated PDF form wants to work only on Acrobat reader for user input and most importantly when summing numbers in the table field. I currently enable usage rights under Acrobat 9. The problem is that when people attempt to open the form with 3rd party PDF viewers I receive complaint that the form doesn't work; no numbers are summed, buttons and fields don't operate.
I'm searching for a method that will automatically manage and direct a user to execute the form through Adobe reader. The compliment to this statement is that I am searching for a method to detect and alert a user against trying to use a 3rd party pdf viewer. When the user does run the form in Adobe reader, my objective is to hide this particular instruction as it is not relevant. I'm very open to the method of instruction such as throwing a splash screen, adding javascript methods or dynamically writing text across the document, such as a water mark, that informs and instructs on how to successfully use the form.
Can anyone offer methods, techniques, behind code examples on how to manage this issue?
Any input and suggestion is greatly appreciated as I am at a road block.

Thanks for your interest. I looked carefully at possibly using dynamic form option but decided against adding the unnecessary complexity. Given the simplicity of the form, dynamics isn't needed. To your point, static is the most "robust" solution for my needs. I've tested with with reader from 9 on up and it works..... I just need to educate the user in a way so that this will be usable.
Often with web searches hitting the right key words is often critical. Problem is that I don't know enough about the PDF model that I may be missing key words. Am I missing something really obvious? In your opinion am I even describing this in the correct manner? Never hurts to get a second opinion.

IPhoto '09 Not Displaying Thumbnails From 3rd Party iApps

Somewhere between iOS4 and iOS 4.0.1 iPhoto lost the ability to display the thumbnails from photos that had been modified by any other 3rd party iApp. Is a suggestion to resolve this. All the thumbnails show up in the iPhone itself, just not on connecting the iPhone to the Mac, then iPhoto

The Oracle conversion tool that comes with 10g Forms gives errors.
I was wondering whether there any any 3rd party tools?
I searched to net with no success.
I bumped into one site which gave these 2: FormGreg or FormsTool (http://www.orcl-toolbox.com/formstool.asp).
FormGreg is not available (I Googled but no success) and FormsTool (I downloaded and installed) has no XML conversion tools.
