I am unable to download the software everytime I try I get "this page can't be displayed.

Yes that is probably it. Could be a couple things that factor in here. Number 1, Link is known not to work well on Win8, also I'm not sure if the Surface Pro is considered a full Win8 device I know for sure that the SurfaceRT is not and for sure that would not work with link. I have heard that MS blacklists and prevents downloads from many sites on the surface RT, perhaps they do this on the Surface Pro also?
I think you are going to need a regular computer. Perhaps the PC at your job? Or do you have a Mac? There is also a Mac version of Link.

LINK software not working on many fronts

Two issues right off the bat on BB link software
1. Cannot log in to BB ID on link. Cannot hit create new account or forget password either. Amazing really for new software. I can log right in to BB ID from browser so I know id and password work and I can see account info.
2. Trying to port over data from torch 9810 to new Q10 as per the BB instructions. Link gets hung and never does back up on Torch so worthless again.
Spent 40 mintues on phone with BB suport, then ATT, who then connected me to BB support and 3 people did nto help at all and then patch me thru to the beginning all over again. What **bleep** support. I have iphone and had many and switch is so easy. BB i always kept since liked keyboard but looks like it will be getting packed up and sent back as i think i finally am giving up on BB as its crappy software is still a nightmare like BB desktop was but at least that was better than this which has reached new low.

I had a similar issue and was unable to get BB Link to sign into my blackberry ID. After trying numerous things including several reboots, reinstalls, disabling firewall etc... the following fixed my issue.
1. Complete uninstall of BB Link
2. Complete uninstall of BB Dektop Manager
3. Reboot
4. Run registry cleaner (CC Clean)
5. Reboot
6. Reinstall BB Link
7. Reboot
8. STARTED WORKING
I was able to use BB Link to transfer the settings from my Torch 9850 to my new Z10 wihtout any issues. However I did add all of my accounts to the Z10 first (4 email accounts-1 with calendar, facebook, twitter)
Give that a try perhaps it will work. I had nearly given up until i tried the complete removal and registry clean.

Link software and word mole for z10

I am unable to set up BlackBerry Link software for my z10. The system restarts before the installation completes. I have win7 with 4gb ram and i5 processor on my desktop.
Word mole does not exist on my z10...my favourite game.
Pls help

Ukmight is correct, there is no infestation in the Link software.
You should be complaining to your antivirus software developer for the false positive alerts.

Corrupt Blackberry Link Software and cannot re-install, Error 1500

I have been happily using my Q10 and the Blackberry link software for about 6 months. A couple of weeks ago I installed ACT and suspect that is the cause of my problems.
the first issue I experienced was a black box appearing every minute saying "There was an error deleting C:\ProgramData\Research In Motion\Tunnel Manager\rimtun-2013-07-11-07-29-47.2388.bugz". I found this link http://glennmatthys.wordpress.com/2013/07/11/the-mysterious-black-box-that-popped-up-every-minute/ Went to preferences and unticked the box that said "Open blackberry link when you loginto your computer" That solved the black box problem and I assumed that I would be able to connect my phone to computer once a week and sync - that would be fine.
However now I cannot sync or retrieve photos from my blackberry. The PC makes a noise to recognise a USB connection however the blackberry link software says the phone is disconnected and I can't navigated to it in windows explorer.
My next thought was to go through installer and repair or uninstall. I am unable to do either with the Blackberry Link software and I receive the Error 1500. Another installation is process. I followed several instructions to resolve this issue with no success including the instructions on http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/viewdocument.do;jsessionid=765854E20F189D1FCF9918BEB9148E99?...
Other people with this error 1500 say they are unable to uninstall any software. I have been able to uninstall a few programs I don't use without any problem so I don't think this is the issue.

Link software from BB website for Z10 is infested with Zero Hour Day bug

Cant install or run Z10 Link software becuse it carries the Zero Day Hour pest.
Software was downloaded on three differentopccasiosn from eth BB site so it seems the exe file is corrupt.
My PC Unleashed antivirus (Symantec) disallows installation and infact permananetly deletes the exe file. - every time. What a waste of time and bandwidth.
Why cant RIM simply issue a copy of th esoftare with the original purchase like they used to do with earlier phones?.

BB Link software - another BB disaster? Fails to even run now - C++ Runtime errors - any solutions?

As if the latest BB10 / BB Link software wasn't bad enough in terms of functionality - now BB Link won't even run.
I recently discovered by chance (thank for not telling any of your customers RIM), that they'd mildly updated BB Link so that it could actually now two-sync Outlook for contact/calendar etc. I've been using the updated software for about three weeks. Problem?
Now it won't even run.
I get the following error showing on the screen - a C++ runtime error, followed by these details. Anyone know what it means or how to resolve it?
Would I better off actually chucking my Z10 out of the window, claiming on the insurance and just getting a phone from someone else? I probably would. Why, why, why do I persist with BB who refuse to release things that their customers want?
Rant over - any help, very much appreciated.

I have taken a look and while it's so tempting to just pay the miniscule fee and use that, I spose my gripe is that there is no reason why the link software should not work epecially as it did with my first Q10 (and brilliantly I must add) it's just since I had to exchange my handset that it's all got to pot.
And worse yet no one at RIM seems to be forthcoming with a response (on the support site, or any of the many customer forums) about this issue which is effecting quite a few users (the forums are buzzing with problems with Link and no real way to report them. *sigh*

Cannot get new LINK software to install

When attempting to install the new version of the LINK software I get these two messages:
“The path c:\Users\James\AppData\Local\Temp\WZSE1.TMP\BlackBerry Link.msi cannot be found.
Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package ‘BlackBerry Link.msi’ in a folder from which you can install the product BlackBerry Link.
And:
Error 1714. The older version of BlackBerry Link cannot be removed. Contact your Technical Support Group.

Blackberry Link software

I have tried to install The Blackberry link software four times and each time I am told that the program has a bad image and is not designed to run on windows.The Error 1706 can also appear.I have windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit and do not usually have a problem installing software.I would like to have this software on my computer.I have a Z30 mobile phone.

Try changing the Compatibility Mode....might not work but worth a try....will not affect your system.
If Link is installed right click the Icon, Properties, Compatibility, change to XP
If Link is not installed right click the Installer Icon, Properties, Compatibility, XP

Stalled update in Mac version of Link software

Having replaced my first Z10 with a second handset, I have restored the data using a back-up.Now, howver, whenever I plug my handset into my Mac, the Link software tells me the handset has never been backed up (it has), and tells me there is new handset software available. However, clicking on the 'install' button produces a progress bar that then never progresses. The Link software remains useable, but the download never takes place. Any clues?
I am running Link v1.0.0 (build 94) & 10.0.9.348 on the handset.

If you try to do the software update over-the-air from Settings>Software Update and wait for it to complete and then try to use BlackBerry Link.
After this is done, try to create a backup and let me know if it completes successfully.

Q10 - New synchronizing Link Software does not synchronize

Well, we finally have the "synchronizing update" to Link.
This is greeted with a warme welcome and many happy faces, not doubt.
However:
- after following the instructions, the sync runs, claim to be completed, but the agendas have not swapped appointments... ie the synch does not work.
I have tried to use the "local" calendar and the "Link" calendar options in the Q10 - makes no difference.
Has anyone been successful in using this synchronizing software?
Please note, this is to synchronize with the laptop, not an online email service.

Thank you for your question regarding Calendar synchronization using BlackBerry Link.
Have you been able to verify whether or not the synchronization process updates in either direction? Are you using the steps as listed here and have you tried selecting the remove device function, reconfiguring the synchronization settings and completing the process again?

Link software update problem

I currently have Link 1.0.0.76 and it says that there is an update available. I am running Win 7 64-bit
I select to install it and part way thru the install I get the following error and the upgrade is backed-out.
Any suggestions?

WRT160N v3 Easy Link Software not working; screen garbled

Up until 2 days ago, this router was the best. Then with no notice, lost all connections to wireless devices and the software loaded, but graphics on screen failed to resolve and thus unuseable. I've uninstalled & reinstalled; set & reset; plugged & unplugged. No other programs exhibit any graphics problems . Any suggestions?

You can Uninstall the Easylink advisor from your computer and do all the settings on your Router.
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop).In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...Leave Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
Click on the Wireless tab
- Here select manual configuration...Wireless Network mode should be mixed...
- Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box in order to differentiate your network from your neighbors network...
- Set the Radio Band to Wide-40MHz and change the Wide channel to 9 and Standard Channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on save settings...
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the Network Identifier...
For Wireless Security : -
Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the Wireless security mode to WPA, For Encryption, select TKIP...For Passphrase input your desired WPA Key. For example , MySecretKey , This will serve as your network key whenever you connect to your wireless network. Do NOT give this key to anyone.
NOTE : Passphrase should be more that 8 characters...
Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304 Change the RTS Threshold to 2307 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...
