Blackberry 7130c + PocketMac = no flyer

After having sync'd my Blackberry 7130c via Windows without a single hitch, I am finding that sync'ing via PocketMac on my Macbook is completely non-functional. It continuously gets stuck (stops). I found the knowledgebase documents on how to clear this up but it seems to only work one time and then the next time I go to sycn, it is all hosed up again.
I am sync'ing to Entourage.
Any suggestions?

This Microsoft document provides a good background regarding Entourage, Exchange Server and other Macintosh OS X products. Your organization is likely running Exchange Server 2004 with SP2 installed, which may account for your inability to connect. The deployment and client options for this package are descibed beginning on page 44:

  • Mac Blackberry Sync - PocketMac vs. Missing Sync

I am running a new Imac with 10.5.5 on it.  Had pocketmac running on my G5 fine but after loading it on the new Imac it would crash right after starting.  Tried many things and could not get it to work including the newest pocketmac upgrade fix.  Decided to download and purchase Missing Sync which is working perfectly.  Syncs everything and worked well,  My only questions - is there an application downloader for the mac?  I have a couple of games that I want to install on my BB that need anapplication downloader and I cannot seem to do this.  Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

Both applications work well. Try PocketMac first and if it doesn't live up to your needs, move to Missing Sync.

Has anyone here successfully synced mail from their BlackBerry to

I can sync all other items, but I can't get the mail to sync; it keeps

    Thanks.

  • Sync not working at all

    Hi All, hope you're well.
I've been having some major issues with trying to sync my iPhone 3GS with my PC.
It's been awhile and I thought I'd try and revisit this.
    Background =
(I was syncing some stuff on my iPhone a while ago, and iTunes seemed to
completely stall, and like a numpty I pulled out the usb cable.
Ever since then I couldn't sync at all. No surprise really!
(This was done on my tower PC running Vi$ta at the time)
I really want to upgrade to the newest iOS and get back my abilty to add/remove
    music, films, and data)
So now I've got iTunes installed on my new laptop and I want to start fresh.
What I'd like to achive -
    1. Being able to sync data between my Laptop and iPhone.
    2. When setting up iTunes, do I authorise the PC first or log into iTunes
    Does it even matter?
    3. NOT losing all of the apps I've purchased.
    4. Learning how to sync music/data without losing whats already on my iPhone
    (In the future).
    PC Info =
    OS = Win 7 premium
    iTunes (Newest version = 10.1.2)
    iPhone =
    3GS
    OS version = 3.2.1 (7D11)
Thanks In Advance for any help or advice

Please consult http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15429 for this issue.
Your first step is to see if under the Pocketmac "Status" tab that your PIN number is displayed.
    If not:
    1. Download and install PocketmacDriverUpdate found at http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/mac.jsp
    2. When installing please disconnect the BlackBerry // Close Pocketmac // Reboot computer afterwards.
    3.  Once your PIN shows under the "status" tab in Pocketmac you will not receive the Error 1 Skipping error again.
Quick file download and install of the driver update is going to fix your issue.
    Hope it helps !

  • Help: Suggestions for a New (AT&T) Phone

We want an upgrade phone (AT&T). We tried a Blackberry 8110 but had continuous syncing problems that neither Blackberry or PocketMac could figure out. Mostly with Mac Address Book. In the end, they suggested a surgical cleaning program that could only be done on a PC. That's when I gave up after 6+ hours on the phone with these folks.
We have been looking at the Samsung Propel A767 as a possibility. We have an iMac G5, using OS 10.4.11. I would like to be able to sync this through iSync if that's possible (we have Bluetooth); or if not, through a cable connection. My wife needs iCal and Mac Address Book to sync. I looked at Data Pilot but they do not show the ability to sync iCal, and that is very important to my wife. I was even considering investing in Leopard, which I see opens up a few more possibilities on supported phones.
Can anyone offer a suggestion? She was hoping for a keyboard that looks like a computer keyboard as our "senior" eyes are sometimes challenged during texting.
    Thanks for any advice.

If you are already an at&t subscriber, the iPhone generally offers the best match to Mac OS X. Other options include using a Blackberry OS, Palm OS or Windows Mobile OS device AND the appropriate Missing Sync application from Mark/Space.
The RIM-sponsored and Information Appliance Associates-provided PocketMac option is, well, worth about what you paid for it, which is exactly nothing. Your experience would tend to bear this out, though others appear satisfied with their experiences.
Non-iPhone and non-smartphone options are likely limited to any Nokia and SONY-Ericsson models offered by at&t, as—unlike T-Mobile USA—at&t does not typically facilitate the use of any non-at&t provided unlocked GSM devices on its network. Technically feasible? Absolutely. But, as a matter of policy, they choose instead to 'lock in' subscribers and disallow devices they did not provide.

  • Connecting 8110 to a computer

Hi, I my computer does not recognize, communicate to or charge my Pearl 8110.  My current Blackberry (7130c) is recognized and communicates and charges. When plugging in the new Blackberry (8110), it says "One of the USB devices attached has malfunctioned...". I believe at one time it did seem to recognize it, but I have never been able to get the desktop manager to see it. I suspect it is a corrupted driver, but I am at a loss as how to replace the driver. I have replaced the Phone and the Cable.  I have installed and removed and reinstalled the Blackberry Device Software (8110M_PBr4.3.0_rel164_PL2.6.0.53_A4.3.0.93_AT&T_Wireless) and the Desktop Manager (and upgraded it (DM 4.6.0.13)).  I have also loaded BlackBerry USB and Modem DriversENG (DM4.6b13).msi.  I am running Windows XP 2.06.  Thanks in advance for your help!  I have been pulling my hair out for over a week on this.

    Hi,
I would find it hard to believe (but not impossible) that you received two Peals with defective USB ports.
It may well have happened. Especially as you cannot charge via wall or USB.
I would look over these to links on connectivity and see if any apply:

  • Bookmark Manager does not open URLS

Synced my Mac PowerBook with Curve 8330 and transfered bookmarks from Safari creating a Bookmark Manager icon on Curve. Opened icon, used shift key to open folder displaying name & URL address of site, highlighted wanted site, used Menu key and selected Open Bookmark but nothing happens.  How do I open sites from the Bookmark Manager?  These bookmarks are not listed in Bookmarks when the Browser is open.  As a postscript, I downloaded the updated driver from Blackberry for PocketMac and installed it before restart thereby being able to do a good sync.

You can ask your desktop browser (Apple Safari or Mozilla Firefox) to export your bookmarks.
You can export into a HTML file, and then upload the file on your personal webserver, and then on your blackberry, bookmark that page (or even more... set it as homepage of your Blackberry browser).
you can export into a json file, and tweak it with perl or awk.
you can probably also export to a csv file and tweak it with OpenOffice Calc, to make a single text that you can email to yourself.
Takes a bit time, but not much more than typing 10 bookmarks.

  • Blackberry 8700 and Pocketmac

Help? I downloaded the Pocketmac software and when I tried to install it - it informed me that I wasn't authorized? What should I do? Should I have installed the disc that was included with the Blackberry first? AND will it synch with MacMail or do I need to use Entourage mail? Thanks for any help you can lend - I am a new Mac user as well....

Would that be the FREE final? I thought not.
It's nice to know that you like the preview release of the Missing Sync for Blackberry and that you have been pleased historically with the Missing Sync for Palm OS, but uh - enough already. Mining this forum for opportunities to post generally incomplete or incorrect information isn't particularly helpful to anyone, except possibly you. Maybe that's the point.
If it is, you might want to take a look at that landing page in your Public Profile if you intend to attract any positive attention to your support services. You might also want to review the Terms of Use regarding the activity you're presently engaged in in this forum.

    Hi Peter!
I'm sorry to read that you are having issues with your Sync account.
Your best bet is to follow the steps described in this blogposts and open a bug:
    https://philikon.wordpress.com/2011/06/13/how-to-file-a-good-sync-bug/
After that, if you don't want to user Sync in your computer, you can stop it with this simple steps:
    * At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options.
    * Once the options window opens, click on the Sync tab.
    * At the bottom of the Sync tab click on '''Deactivate this Device''' link

  • Using pocketmac to sync a replacement blackberry bold

I wondered if someone could help
Due to a fault I have had to replace my blackberry bold. My old blackberry was syncing happily with my mac using pocketmac.  Now with my new blackberry I get nothing, the mac doesn't seem to recognize the new blackberry and sync new device is greyed out.
I have the most up to date version of pocket mac and I also downloaded and installed the lastest drivers to my mac.  Anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong
    thanks

Make sure that your Device defaults on the BB both point to the same email address...
    OPTIONS>ADVANCED OPTIONS>DEFAULT SERVICES
That may solve the problem since the DEVICE DEFAULT calendar doesn't sync to anything.

  • Missing Sync vs. PocketMac For Synchronizing Data between Blackberry and MAC

I'm looking for software to synchronize contacts, events, appointments, notes, tasks, etc., between my Blackberry Curve (8330 Series) and my iMac (MAC OS X 10.5.5).  I've investigated Missing Sync and it certainly would work.  Today I was advised that PocketMac will accomplish the same thing.  So, I'm looking for a recommendation on the advantages/disadvantages of either or both packages.
