Please help!!! My blackberry 8520 crashed...

Hello,
Today my blackberry app store asked if i wanted to download the new version, and i said yes. When the download was done he said i must reboot my blackberry to see the new version. I said yes.
When he reboted and i saw the little balk not going any further than 50%.
I removed the battery and put it back again. He showed me again the little balk and then it stopped at 30% and my screen turned black, without me doing anything.. and now he does it again and again and again.. even when i tried to remove my battery and put it back again he still tries to start up but it does'nt go any further than 30%..
can anyone help me?

Music to listen on my Blackberry 8520

I just bought this phone yesterday. I haven't bought the internet plan. Can someone tell me how to get music to listen on my Blackberry 8520? I have absolutely no idea about this.

Not having a data plan means you are probably missing out on most of the functionality of these devices not least of which is the ability to use free wifi for calls and data which would have allowed you to download your favourite music but.....
Easy. You have to plug the phone into the computer and access the System or blackberry folder, and it should be there. Look for the iTunes folder, the Music folder, or Documents folder. it is in one of those drives. Be Careful because if you take it out while it is still syncing, you will screw up your phone, and it will crash.
Another point, it would be best to store music on a media card, not the BB itself so if you don't have one, don't transfer too much.

Blackberry 8520 keeps repeatedly downloading the same email messages and facebook notifications

My Blackberry 8520 has all of a sudden started downloading the same email addresses and facebook notifications, that I have already read, I tried deleting them totally and also deleted from my computer inbox, but it just downloaded the next lot in my inbox repeatedly instead. Sometimes it says I have 50 unread messages, which is the same 7 or 8 messages over and over again, showing as unread.
I have rebooted device several times and don't know what else to do now, can anyone help please?

Have you changed the settings for messages on your account on the providers website?
(Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)
If that's not it try the following:
Go to options advanced options, Host Routing Tables, click to enter. DO NOT click on any listing.
Press menu key, and select register now.
You will get a verification message. Then go to email settings and send service books.
I would suggest logging into the carriers BIS site via PC if you can.
You will get an email per account. Repeat the battery pull and see if the problem is
resolved.

Still no revert received regarding my earlier post. Not able to use facebook on my blackberry 8520.

If you can access Facebook while on Wifi at home, but you are unable to access it while away running on your carrier's 2G network, I could phone your carrier. You have already completed the Cellular Data troubleshooting for the iPhone, so any limitations keeping your from connecting to Facebook over cellular will have to be answered by your carrier.

Opening pdf file in Blackberry 8520 curve

I am unable to open pdf file in my blackberry 8520 curve. Can anyone help me in this regards. The mobile does't have any pdf reader pre installed. Do we need to install software, if so please send me the link to download or the software itself.

PDF files can be easily viewed as an attachment to an email.
If you are wanting to view a PDF file downloaded to your Media Card, you will need a third party application, such as PDFtoGO, BeamReader or Repligo. Google will find any of those three for you.

Application error with blackberry 8520 curve

hello,
i own a blackberry 8520 curve and i keep having the same problem with logging in into yahoo messenger.
while i can log in from a PC or another phone, logging in from this phone seems impossible, regardless the account i try logging in with. after it displays the ''connecting to" message it pops this: "'internal error. please try again''.
i tried reintroducing the internet connection settings; i reinstalled the application, i've put another SIM card into this phone and i've removed all the entries from my yahoo account's apps and website connections list - and it keeps popping the error message
i hope receiving an answer, 'cause it's been 4 days without getting to use the app.

Login to Yahoo! mail via a computer browser.
Navigate to Account Information.
Select the Manage Apps and Website Connections.
Remove any access for BlackBerry® or RIM® related connections.
Launch Yahoo! Messenger for BlackBerry smartphones.
Sign in with valid Yahoo! credentials.

What kind of media card are you using, what size, and what type?
What is your Operating System loaded to your device? Look at Options > > Device > About, third line down beginning with a "v.5.0.x.xxx", What is yours?

Blackberry 8520 curve hangs, suddenly white screen comes and the only solution is to re-insert battery with power source on?

My Blackberry 8520 curve suddenly hangs giving a white screen and when i restart it - the screen remains white. After i put it into charge - then only a successful start is done. So the only solution as of now i have - is whenever my blackberry hangs - i need to remove the battery - insert it again - and immediately put it into charging via USB/Electric-Power. Even if i re-insert the battery - the white screen comes - unless and until i put it into charging Earlier i was guessing - my battery was weak - but no such problem. pls advise.

Personally, I havent seen this so it may be isolated to your device.
Your best bet for warranty is to call your carrier.
It very well could be classified as physical damage and void your warranty. Or they may classify it as "manufacturer defect" and replace it.
Its hard to say as carrier's policys are different

Its a mere perception that Blackberry 8520 Version 5.xx doesn't support Hindi or Indic fonts.

You can download the Indic font for Blackberry and install it. You will be able read and write Hindi characters on your handset.

Hi Im new here so i was just wondering like how can i download the os 5 for my
blackberry curve 8520 because im reloading it using BBSAK But the only problem
is that i dont know where can i download a non carrier os like the original one
that came with my blackberry because im having problems and i want to restore
this is the information ( Blackberry 8520 smartphone (EDGE, WIFI)

Check the below mentioned steps for download and updating device OS. All OS are same all you need to follow deleting vendor.xml file.
Updating or Reinstalling BlackBerry device OS
Pr-requisite –
BlackBerry Desktop Software (must be installed in your computer). You can get it latest one from this location BlackBerry Desktop Software
BlackBerry Device OS version (which you intend to have in your device). You can get it from from here and must be installed it in your computer
USB Cable
Step #01:
Back up your BlackBerry device data before you start any OS update/re-installation step
Open the BlackBerry Desktop Software and select Backup and Restore. On the next screen select Backup and perform a full backup of your device data. You may consider including on-board device data as well. Please take note where the backup file is located (by default it’s located in Documents folder).
Step #02: If you intend to use an official OS release for your carrier then proceed with the following -
Remove the battery from the back of the BlackBerry smartphone
Connect BlackBerry smartphone to the computer using a USB cable
Once prompted to Retry, Update or Cancel, click Update. If available updates are found Desktop Manager will prompt you to Get Update, Update Later or View other versions
Click Get Update to install the recommended software version or View other Versions to manually select the version you wish to install and click Install.
Reinsert the Battery which was removed earlier
Click Install Update
Note: there may be a prompt to activate the device wirelessly after the upgrade.
Step #02: If you intend to use an official OS released for other mobile operator then proceed –
Before you start Desktop Software search your C: drive for Vendor.xml and delete it. One can look for Vendor.xml in the following location -
For Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and delete Vendor.xml
For 64-bit Vista or Windows 7: C: \ Program Files x86\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and delete Vendor.xml
Remove the battery from the back of the BlackBerry smartphone
Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer using a USB cable
Once prompted to Retry, Update or Cancel, click Update. If available updates are found Desktop Manager will prompt you to Get Update, Update Later or View other versions

Blackberry 8520 does not start up

HI,
I have just bought a Blackberry 8520.
It has been working fine till today suddenly a white screen came on with a small clock icon in the centre.
The phone does not switch on. I have tired taking the batter off, sim and the memory card but nothing helps.
If anyone know how to rectify this problem I would really apprecaite it.
P.S I use MAC

You'll need to get access to a PC.
If your BlackBerry stays powered off with a black screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life might be the blinking red LED light in the top corner. Nothing seems to wake it up and Desktop Manager doesn't recognize any device is connected.
1) Make sure you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.

5) You should then see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Hit Next and Finish and you are well on your way to getting your Blackberry back to life. Congrats! Just don't disconnect anything and let the lengthy process finish completely.
NOTE: If you do not see a list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead see the message "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator," then you must download Blackberry's Operating System for your carrier and device.
