Blackberry 8820 when I send a message it makes a bleep sound and tells me how much credit

I haven't had my blackberry long but I like to send texts massages during the day like in class but switch this loud beep the teacher can hear it , it also show me how much credit iI have But i dont care as much about that
any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi zsefbhuk9and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
To change your sounds, go to "Profiles" on your device. You will then see the available profiles from which you can select - Loud, Vibrate, Quiet, Normal, Phone only and Off. The current profile will have Active after it
If you wish to keep the current profile active but want to modify the sounds, scroll down to the bottom and select "Advanced"
Click the profile you wish to modify.
Scroll down to "SMS"
Select out of holster to either "None" or "Vibrate". This will ensure it does play any noises when a text is received.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. This article speaks of checking the top microphone for debris. On the iPhone 5, this microphone is located on the back of the phone near the camera flash.
Also, you mentioned this happens when you answer a call at home. I interpret that as it does not happen in other locations, is this accurate? If so, then it may be network related, and you'll want to contact your carrier. If not, the steps included above should help to resolve the issue.

Hi,
You have categorised this as both Messages (App) and Mail (App) and I am not sure which you are using.
The Messages App does not normally send a Copy to the Mail app.
Mail however does has an "Automatically CC: myself" setting in the Preferences > Composing.

Phone has slowed down following an update, and the message below pops up when I send a message to contacts on BBM

When I send a message it comes off BBM....... the message reads .....

What does this mean ... what have we got to do to get it sorted..

I could be wrong, but it sounds like Facebook imported to your contacts. I have the Xfinity app on my new ipad, too, but none of my stored contacts from the online version are showing, only what I manually entered into the iPads contacts are there. When I did add the FB app, I did not grant it permission to push and pull from my ipad (not a fan of FB knowing every detail about me), so that may be where our difference lies. You could try to open the app and change your privacy settings, or delete it and then reinstall without granting permissions to integrate.
I'm sure someone here with a lot more knowledge then me can probably diagnose your issue better, though. Good luck!

2-3 days ago, iMessage just stopped working on all my devices (2 iPads; 1 iPhone; 1 Mac), and it hasn't come back since. iPhone waiting for activation, the rest just don't send the messages.
FaceTime and iCloud work fine.
I really hope this is resolved soon, because I rely heavily on iMessage for the majority of my communications, and I need it back ASAP as I'm on holiday and out of my home country.

Yes, they are registered for iMessage and IOS 5.0.1 update. A few days ago (10-12 days) the group messaging was working fine, but now the messages are being delivered to the email inox instead of iMessage app.

You need to link your iPhone number to Messages - and Facetime if you use it. For Messages go to Settings>Messages>Send and Receive at>You can be reached by iMessage at. If your phone number is showing there, select it as your Contact address. If it doesn't appear in there, take a look at the end of this article for help.
