Blackberry 9220 not starting

I had kept my blackberry 9220 in my hand bag while i was in a lecture. After an hour I wanted to check time but it wasnt working. i removed battery then tried to turn it on but it didn't. I connected it to wall charger but it still isnt starting, even LED isnt flashing.

The scenario goes like this sir. My BB has been automatically switched off because my battery has totally been drained for a long day of use. After almost 30mins, I charged it and stay it for about 2hrs of charging. Ive noticed after two hours that there is no led light existing, even the screen of my bb indicating that my unit is charging. So I pull my charger and I attempt to turn my phone on by simply pull-out my battery and returning it back to the unit but I wait for couple of minutes but it doesnt turned on. The next day i borrowed my friends bb9220 full-charged battery which is the same unit i have right now and insert it in my phone but unfortunately it doesnt turned on...So I also checked my battery by inserting it in my friends unit, it was fully drained but when i charge it the led light turns on as well as the screen of her phone indicating that the battery is charging which it doesnt happen in my phone. So when i read this forum, i followed the 4h15m trick but nothing happens. That was the scenario which I think my bb9220 encounter some problems. Hope you can help me for this.Thank you and God BLess...

  • My blackberry does not start up!

    Hi!
My blackberry does not start up. I've charged the battery for 2.30 hours, removed the battery, tried whatever I could, but nothing, it doesn't work. Do you know how can I start the blackberry?
    Thank you!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Are you using a wall charger or USB charger? Do you see any LED light when you put in the charger? Normally you should see a flashing orange light, when the battery is fully charged it should turn to green.
However if your battery was drained completely and you are trying to charge via USB it will not be possible because USB uses power to initiate charging.

  • Blackberry does not start up

    Hey.
Ive got a blackberry curve 8520(or something like that). Its been working good since I got it in November but for some reason it wont start up. The white screen with the black square in the middle but it stays there forever. When I take the sim card out it works perfectly good i cant make any calls or use the internet obviously. My service provider (orange) said they will send me a replacement phone while they "fix mine". The replacement phone is the same model as my one curve 8520 and the exact same thing happens! A new sim card costs £10 and I dont want to buy one for no reason. Any help?

  • My Blackberry does not start up, all I get is a red line through the battery

Hi this is my first Blackberry and seven months after purchace I phone stops working. All I get when I turn it on is a red line through the battery. I bought a new battery and the same thing. I am like at wits end, HELP!

    #1. Be patient with #2.
#2. Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).

  • Adobe Reader for the BlackBerry PlayBook Showstopping Issue: App does not start

    Hello;
I would like to report an issue with the Adobe Reader app for the BlackBerry PlayBook which renders the application fully unusable. This issue occurs everytime. This issue has been tested and verified to occur in two distinct BlackBerry PlayBook devices.
Here is a screenshot stating what version (10.0.3.325) of the Adobe Reader app I have installed:
This, I understand, is the latest version for my platform. Unfortunately, the application does not start. Attempting to run it results in a blank screen after showing the BlackBerry logo. The blank screen can be seen in the following screenshot:
It is also strange that the application does not appear in the Application Permissions list, as seen in the following screenshot:
Is there a fix for this showstopping issue? What steps should I take?

Same issue here.  Playbook support knows about it, and referred to Adobe.  The Adobe forum has this comment.  Looks like our Playbooks are abandoned as a platform.
    "Mar 4, 2012 7:20 PM
As the tablet market continues to evolve, we continue to evaluate how to best support the market and where to focus on our resources. Because of this,  Adobe has decided to end its support of the  RIM QNX Playbook devices in March 2012.  This means the ability to create new applications for submission to the RIM store will no longer be possible in Adobe Viewer Builder as well as the ability to rebuild existing targets for new releases of Digital Publishing Suite. Any existing QNX targets will be removed from the manage view inside Viewer Builder".

A couple of places for you to visit: Blackberry 101    Tips & Tricks
Try this: With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
Now, using a wall charger, charge the device completely to 100% and keep an eye on the battery drain over the next day or so.    BB charging behavior

  • Blackberry 9800 Torch not starting up or entering Safe mode

    Hi all,
I am owner of a Blackberry 9800 Torch for about a year and now it does not startup. I turned the phone off last night and this morning it does not start up. I didn't make any changes to the phone so very strange.
The behaviour is that when I take the battery out and it turns on, the load screen start but the little white line only starts a little(2mm line) and then it restarts and does the same thing and loop over and over again in this till battery runs out.
I have tired to enter Safe mode by holding in the Escape bottom when the load screen starts or when the red light turn off but it does not enter Safe mode.
Please can anybody advise how I can fix this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Stefan

Are you able to restart your device in safe mode as shown in KB17877?
I assume, since it's caught in a reboot cycle, when you connect to the Desktop Software it doesn't take a stable connection to reinstall your software?
If that is case, remove your battery and keep it out when you connect to the Desktop Software. You will get a pop up that the device can't connect and there should be Retry, Update and Cancel buttons. Select Update and you will then be able to reinstall the current device software version.
When the load is progressing, you will see a step that says "Wait for device initialization". At this point, insert the battery and the reload should complete.

  • Heating Issue in BlackBerry 9220

Hey, I took my BlackBerry 9220 few days back and configured my enterprise mail. Post activation of enterprise mails my handset start heating some time due to which my battery got down. Kindly suggest some way if I can use enterprise mails without heating. Thanks.

    Hi,
I really don't think that the heating is anyway related to the activation of ur enterprise email...it might feel so cz the heating started after the activation only...actually, the issue is with the battery and the issue started at the same time when u activated ur email...had u not activated the mails at that time, then also the issue wud hve appeared.
I would suggest to replace the battery if thats still in guarantee(normally, BB batteries hve 6 month of warrenty)...that should solve the prob...
    with regards
    simply abhik...

  • BB Z10 dead will not start

We have 6 of Z10 and playbooks in the family for 18 months, we BBM each other, everything is great.
Then my son says his does not work. Power button no response, sometimes no microwave connection, but Wifi and bluetooth still working. Tried different battery, The battery charge, remove battery for 15 minutes and replace battery, connect to computer battery out reloading the OS, Read all these news groups, got some sense out of it but the phone not reliable, time for a new one.
I brought a new Z10, with in a week, it did not start one day after charging. Tryied all the tricks like above.
Shop took it back, they had a look at it, but had no replacement, got refunded.
Brought from another shop, after a week it stopped, would not do a thing, no red light. Tryed everything like above, computer does not acknowledge it is connected, can not get a green light.
The only sign of life is the red led after holding power button down for 10sec, led for 10 seconds, that is it
My poor son has been with out a phone more than with one the last 2 months.
When we first got our 6 Z10s some 18 months ago, the password to unlock the device was only numbers.
After an OS upgrade the alpha characters become available. These new ones arrive with only numbers available. After we do the OS upgrades all in one go we still only have numbers available. I can not help but think we are missing some modules from the OS.
Finally my question (thanks for reading this far anyone who made it),
Anything I did not try to get the phone going again ?
Is there anything we are doing to cause this ? has the quality dropped off new phones ?
As we return post this phone I am sure Blackberry warranty will not be impressed with us.
    Thanks for replying      (in advance)

Loving BB Z10 Keeping me moving

after getting my device to boot up using an older OS via
    BlackBerry 10.2.1 STL100-3 Autoloader
    10.2.1.1927
I updated to my carrier's - T-Mobile - official release which was the current version ( 10.2.1.2156) on the device before it "crashed" - the device failed to boot up so I had to reload via "autoloader," skip the update and use the 10.2.1927.
Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thank you in advance. I'm so sorry I gave up my Bold 9900. "If it 'ain't' broke, don't fix it!"

  • Torch 9860 does not starts

    help!
my blackberry Torch 9860 does not starts, and the red led blinking a slow time and 3 times faster
I removed the battery and waited, when i put the battery back, nothing happens
I installed the blackberry desktop, but it does not recognize the phone, not from any sign that is connected
I tested with another blackberry and connected everything right, the problem is not the cable or pc
when I connect it via USB the red LED blinks 1 time 3 times fast and slow
when I try to start it nothing happens

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
Good luck and let us know!
