Blackberry 9220 Software Updated

hi,
Blackberry curve 9220 software update not working. i am afraid to unplug with PC. message is shown during steps interrupt or disconnect make mobile unusable. kindly give the suggestion on this problem as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.

Hopefully you got this resolved already...but just in case...
Sadly, from "not working", it's very difficult to know exactly what is going on. From the rest of what you say, I am guessing that it is "stuck" and not proceeding beyond some point. However, knowing what point it is stuck at is rather critical to choosing which remedy to attempt. For example, if it's stuck in the backup stage, then there should be no harm since that's a "read only" function from the BB to the computer. But, if it's stuck in the update stage, then things would be difference since it's indeed also writing to the BB. Sometimes, it's just a matter of waiting long enough...there are folks posting here who have said that they left it overnight and it completed. There are others for whom no amount of time was long enough.
Anyway, if you are still stuck with this situation, then please provide more details so that we can give you some useful guidance.

    I hope you already have a backup of your device , Or if you device allow first do a backup .

    KB30100 :  "JVM 200" appears on the BlackBerry smartphone.

    I got a message for the update of my blackberry Z10 software to 10.1.0.273... When I read review of it, I got mixed response... Lots of people are complaining for:
    1- Not able to send SMS
    2- Battery draining very quickly
    3- Phone getting heated very much
    4- System Setting not working...

    I updated my phone yesterday and worked perfectly for a couple of hours, and faced all the above mentioned issues. No need for links, I am experiencing all the above issues personally and on top of this I can't sync my mails, contacts or calendar via exchange. I travel a lot and depend on my BlackBerry for mails. Or else honestly I wouldn't even have thought about using anything other than an iPhone with the great apple customer care.
    Really the Z10 was BlackBerry's last chance with me.

  • BlackBerry Desktop Software (Update)

    I have been battling for weeks to update my current version (Software Version: 60 Bundle 2475) of BlackBerry Desktop Software to the updated version (Updated Version: 6.0 Bundle 2949) which is available as indicated by the red asterisk next to Updated Version on the home screen of BlackBerry Desktop Software.
    I am constantly getting the same error message: "An error has occurred while downloading software for your device.  Please verify your Internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists."  
    I have absolutely no issue with my internet connection and I am constantly "try(ing) again later".
    Please assist.

    I received the blackberry software update about a month ago, 10.2.1.2941, i'm currently at 10.2.1.2102 system softwate, I keep ignoring the update because my internet connection is bad, but now, I can't update!!! When I click "check for updates", it shows "you have the latest software", what happened with my z10?? Help me!

  • Blackberry 10 Software Update Takes Too Long

    I started updating through my computer a couple hours ago, and it downloaded the update normally, but when it started installing it, it remained at 1% for over an hour.
    Is this a glitch, or what?

    Let it sit a bit longer, it shouldn't be that long, but if you have a large amount of filespace to backup and restore... it could.
    If after another hour it has not proceeded, remove and reinsert the battery and see if the device boots up?
    IF STILL NOT:
    I would connect the device to your PC and don't open the Link software, but type this in your PC browser

    It should recognize your device, If it does not, while the device is still connected to the PC, remove and reinsert the battery to see if the device will be recognized.

  • BlackBerry 10 Software Update

    Not sure why Verizon is taking a long time to release the update to 10.0 (or any Blackberry) software.....Does Verizon (or BlackBerry) need more beta testers? I am willing to sign up to help test the software so it will be released eariler. Verizon is the last company not to upgrade! Please contact me!

  • Blackberry Z10 Software update 10.2.1 stuck

    Hi I need help urgently.
    Updated my bb two days back to the newest update 10.2.1. The update installed fine, but hub was not loading nor was I able to open any app , it crashed immediately back to screen . I dont use fb,twitter, or any social apps.
    Anyway, I restarted the phone, and the boot screen with b b logo ang glowing ring around it started showing, it loaded till only a cm was left and i let it sit through the night and in morning there was still no load. it was stuck there even after 8 hours. 
    So i pulled the battery and restarted, same thing, it loaded back to 95% (this time it showed a percentage rather than justthe glowing ring) and it got stuck at 95%
    IS this normal? right now its still stuck there its my second day without being able to use my phone and i need to access my emails... what should i do? why is it taking so long.
    Please help!

    Can u explain a bit how u upgraded with link?
    I conenct my phone to PC while its still stuck on 100% i dont see any option to upgrade on link instead of doing a factory reload

    Can someone help!!! I'm trying to install BlackBerry Desktop Software v.4.7 dated 2009-06-05 111 MB on a Vista computer. I already updated my BlackBerry Storm 9530 but when i opened the my Laptop today I saw this update but everytime i try to install i keep getting an error this updatye could not run and i understand its a "Critical Application Loader update to support the BlackBerry Storm software update. Please install this update before updating your BlackBerry Storm software." of course its all late but how can i get it installed Please Help!

    After I finish the update and I disconnect my phone then I come back after minutes and connect my phone again the link says again that there is a software update !! I did that 5 7 times till now and here is the message which I see every time

  • Blackberry Software update for 9220 curve

    I have a 9220 curve instrument & i have downlaoded the desktop software. When i connect my instrument to my laptop, the desktop software starts & it shows me that an update if available. Present version is 7.1 Bundle 1319 & the update available is 7.1 Bundle 2039. But when i go for update, half a way it show error. My internet connection is OK every time.
    But if i do this directly from my instrument, it says the software version is latest.
    Pls guide.

    Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums
    If you are  having problem in updating your device software through web then try a manul update , just follow those simple steps :
    1.Locate your Carrier and Download the OS you desire from here  BlackBerry Software Download Site
    (make sure you are downloading for the same model as you have )
    2. Now Double Click  on the file that you Downloaded to Install it on your PC
    3. Download and install the latest BlackBerry desktop software from here BlackBerry desktop software
    Then using desktop software perform your full backup of your device.
    4.Search your C: Drive for any Vendor.xml files and delete them, there may be one or two vendor.xml ( On your PC change your folders option to show hidden files / folders  :
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\Windows UserName\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
    5. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader. (For 64-bit Vista or Windows 7, the path       will be C: > Program Files x86 > Common Files > Research In Motion > AppLoader) double click Loader.exe. 
          Upgrade will continue then After Installation of New OS restore your backup using BlackBerry desktop
    Software.
    Try it and let us know if you feel any problem while doing so.
    Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.
    If Problem Resolves mark the post(s) as " Solution ", so that other can make use of it.

  • Blackberry 9220 won't start after updating OS

    My blackberry 9220 was perfectly working for the past 8months, after finding out that there's a new update for os, i tried updating mine. I fell asleep while updating my os that i didnt notice if the os was successfully updated bt wen i woke up in the middle of the night, my phone won't start. When i tried charging it, the red led light lights up then the initial screen where you see the "blackberry" word and load bar below it starts bt only flashes and turns off. It keeps repeating. I tried going to a phone technician but they said they cannot reformat my phone because it doesn't turn on or completely turn on in the first place.. What should i do? Please help me.

  • Blackberry 10 OS software update

    My blackberry Z10 is currently running on 10.0.9.348. And I'm trying to install whatsapp which requires at least 10.0.10 or higher. The problem is I cannot update the software and everytime I check for software updates I get a massage saying that I have the latest software.

    Each carrier controls the updates for their users...yours simply has not updated yet. There are tricks to attempt to force it, but they come with the usual cautions -- some reports exist of users doing this "force" and rendering their BB inoperable on their home carrier network (radio file changes and such, that are not compatible). But, if you wish to make the attempt, here are the tricks:

    I have reset both my torch and playbook back to original only thing that I kept was my contact. And still problems I am a few min away from leave my loved blackberry and going android !! Or heaven help us Phone
    Issues 1) playbook wont connect to desktop manager anymore 
    2) Play book has 2 calendar icons with two different settings on them ??? I have one that is currently working with my yahoo email and calendar account. 
    3) my Phone when connected to desk top software shows the calendar as read only

    I know you are going to ask I have updated everything last time and it is all as update as it can get. 
    As for now as I wait I am going to wipe my phone again and just set everything up again !! If I have to even my contacts AHHHH Help I am starting to think crazy thoughts 

    Did you try to eboot the your PC or laptop where your device is connected ?
    I experienced this with my windows laptop, after a failed to do an update, I restart the laptop and my Torch, then retried, and it's worked
