Blackberry 9300 won't turn on?

Yesterday my blackberry curve 9300 ran out of charge so I plugged the charger into my phone and the the start up screen came up and at the very end it froze and wouldn't come on to the home screen I've had two blackberrys and I put both battery's in and it won't work help?

Letting the battery die to zero on any phone is not good practice. Make sure the battery is good, and then re-start the phone by removing and re-inserting the battery. See of the problem persists.
If the problem persists, then a reload of the OS will most likely be required to fix the fault.

  • Blackberry Q10 won't turn on after battery switch

I am a loyal blackberry user, but this will without a doubt be the last phone I EVER purchase from them.  I have been let down so many times in one device.
Despite always having my phone kept in an Otterbox case, with all ports covered and NO damage being done to the phone, THE CHARGER PORT BREAKS.  Now a weight and a wedge are required to prop the phone and charger at the correct angle to make contact.  Absolutely no reason for this to have happened.
As the connection became worse,  I resorted to purchasing an external battery changer and extra battery for my Q10.
Today, upon battery #1 going dead, I tried to switch to the fully charged backup battery.
    It won't turn on.
No signs of life, no flashing LED.
All the information I've found on getting this device to restart involve a reliable charging port, which this phone does not have.
I am beyond dissapointed in the lack of worsksmanship put into these phones.  My device is just over a year old and has been treated properly.  It has become quite clear to me that these are being made of a disposable quality, to be upgraded when the newest model comes out.  Unacceptable.

Hey, this happen to me too.  I already use this BlackBerry for 2 days and that "thing" happened. I'm freaking out too but after that I did this to my BB:
    1. take out your battery
    2. take the wall charger and connect it to your phone
    3. after you connect it, then you can insert you battery
    4. click the turn on button (the red one) all the time.
    5. and then just wait for a couple minutes, your BB will turn on again and charging
But when charging, don't turn your phone off.
That's all I know, hope it can help you.

  • BLACKBERRY TORCH - won't turn on and desktop manager won't recognise it - I can't get my contacts

    Hi all,
I'm new to this so please bare with me.
I'll try and be as brief as possible. Up until last week I had the Blackberry Torch 9800. I was due an upgrade and about two days before I went to contact my network provider my Torch battery died (it wasn't broken at this point, it just was drained and needed charged) so I went to charge it and it did that thing where the battery was so dead it wouldn't even switch on whilst charging.
I plugged it in and rather than charge like normal it was completely dead and the only activity it offered me was two red flashing lights as it 'charged'. From that moment on it has not turned on. Dead as can be. If I plug to charge (wall charger OR USB port) I get the two bright red flashing notification lights but it will not go on.
Anyway rather than send it to be repaired I opted for a new phone as I was due an upgrade anyway and intended on doing so whether the Torch was alive and kicking at this point or not. Cut a long story short I got my new blackberry (9360 curve) it is all set up with my e-mail etc, media card and same sim card swapped over but as Blackberry insist on your contact numbers being saved to the handset and not the sim my contacts are stuck in my Torch 9800.
When I go to plug the Torch in to Desktop manager to get the contacts saved to there and then sync over to my new handset the Torch is so dead that DManager won't even read/recognise it. My network say since this is not an issue with network etc they can't really help and gave me a number for Blackberry services in England somewhere (they are office hrs so can't phone until Monday morning).
Please can someone help? I have my new 9360 all up and running but my contacts are stuck in my Torch and that is the only place they are? DManager won't recognise the Torch because it is dead - except the two flashing lights - and therefore won't let me at the contacts that way.
ANY help would be appreciated - please not too techinal as not great with all of that side of things!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry 9320 won't turn on or charge

My Blackberry curve 9320 was fully charged last night when I went to bed but when I woke up it was dead. I picked it up to check the time and It was quite warm (even though it was not near a heat source). I tried to turn it on but nothing happened. I plugged it into the charger and the light came on, the blackberry boot up screen came on and then it went blank. Nothing happened. I left it for several hours but still nothing. What can I do???????

  • BlackBerry Z10 won't turn on and red led blinks 4 times

    Hi all,
Yesterday my BlackBerry Z10 suddently turned off, I turned it on again and it worked fine for a few minutes (battery was around 90% full), then it turned off again and I couldn't turn it on anymore! The red led is blinking 4 times with a 3 seconds interval between each 4 blinks sequence. I tried to charge the battery, connect it to the computer, turn it on without the battery (with charger on), with no success. Sometimes, it shows the BlackBerry logo, or even the logo with the % loading, but then it turns off in the middle of the process, on random percentages.
Does anyone know what happened to the phone and how to solve this issue?
    Thanks!
    V

Mine keeps turning off... I called them and they told me to send the phone to Blackberry by mail to check what's wrong and that when the phone gets there, they do a complete evaluation and in 30 days they send the phone back... In other words, I have to buy another phone! Blackberry assistance is useless...

  • BlackBerry Storm WON'T turn on no matter what!

it has been on the charger all night work great yesterday now i wake up and it just wont work!
i have taken the battery out let set for 30 mins and it still wont work!
so i guess now i have to go in to the store and ask them about it and pay for a new one!

    Hi,
Using the USB cable that came with your device, connect your Blackberry to your computer.  Start Blackberry Desktop Manager.  It is possible the software on your device became corrupted, usually from an application that was recently installed.  Using BDM, try to see if you can get your device's software going.

    Hi there,
I wonder if you can help me. I have a problem with my playbook as it won't reboot. When I switch it on the red button coms up and all seems to be working fine. However after about 1 minute of rebooting, the playbook switches off. Can you please help.

This darn thing WON'T TURN ON! No lights come on or anything either.
Connect to your known good wall outlet charger.
Leave it connected for several hours.. even 24 hours.
Every 4-5 hours WITH THE CHARGER STILL CONNECTED, press and hold down the power button for 20 seconds.
If you see any LED red or yellow activity, that is good. LEAVE it to continue to charge.
REPEAT this:  Every 4-5 hours WITH THE CHARGER STILL CONNECTED, press and hold down the power button for 20 seconds.

  • My Blackberry Curve 9380's screen won't turn on!

My Blackberry Curve 9380's display screen won't turn on!  The flashing red light still appears so I guess I am still able to receive texts.  I can also receive calls; my ring tone goes off but I cannot answer!  I have to unlock it and I can't do anything on a touch screen that's virtually useless now.  I've done so many battery pulls yet it doesn't work.
I did drop it but it wasn't very hard.  My bb fell when it was in my rubber case and the fall was around knee length (I am very short only 5'0).  My friend said its possible that the backlight broke.  If it is true, how much does it cost to repair it?  My warranty expired a few weeks ago...
My friend also said there could be something else wrong with it.  Like a downloaded an app that had a corrupt file (this has happened to me before and the phrase "Uncaught exception java.lang.error" kept popping up every time I did a battery pull) or a programming error. I tried Jl_Cmder and I've done reset to factory.  I've even tried to wipe everything completely.  "The device will reboot to a white screen with a '507' error" this didn't happen... It did reboot but nothing can be seen.  I regret it deeply ...
I'm sorry this is so long but please can someone help me? ):

Ouch, that doesn't sound good. Even though it's out of warranty, you should check first with your mobile provider for a repair estimate.
    Sorry!

  • Help needed: blackberry keeps resetting or won't turn on after charging, especially via USB

This is a bit of an odd one and I'd appreciate any help that others can give me.
I've had my blackberry 8900 for about a year and a half now.
Whenever I charge my handset from an empty battery (e.g. this problem isn't a problem when I charge it if there's still some charge left) - either from the main power charger or via USB, I experience problems.
Whenever it's fully charged I unplug the charger and normally at this point it cuts out completely. The screen goes black and cuts out - it doesn't even go through the normal switch-off process. From then, it won't turn on for around 3 - 4 minutes (the red light occasionally appears on the top, although it's fully charged).
When it does turn on, it goes through a soft reset.
This is more of a problem when I charge it via USB but equally affects charging it from the mains as well.
    Any ideas?

It's fixable. First, charge it for several hours and then WITH the
charger still connected, remove the battery a minute and replace, and
    reboot.
If that does not do it, and it continues in the reboot loop
    1)
Make sure you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    2)
On your PC, go to Start > Run and copy and paste the following line
exactly (meaning with the quotation marks):
    "c:\program
    files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe" /nojvm
    3)
The Application Loader Wizard will appear -- click "Next."
    4) In
the "Connection:" drop-down menu, you should see "USB-PIN: UNKNOWN".
    Click the "Next" button.
    5) You should then see a list of
applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Hit Next and
Finish and you are well on your way to getting your Blackberry back to
life. Just don't disconnect anything and let the lengthy process finish
    completely.
NOTE: If you do not see a list of applications
mentioned in step 5 and instead see the message "The Blackberry Desktop
Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that
you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service
provider or system administrator," then you must download Blackberry's
Operating System for your carrier and device.
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
    Just
select the appropriate carrier and network type, select your Blackberry
model from the list and download the latest version. Install this
download and follow the above steps again and you should be on the right
    path.

  • Blackberry Curve 9300 won't send or receive BBM messages

    Hi
I have a blackberry 9300 and it won't send or receive any BBM messages for some of my contacts. When I send a message it shows the tick without a "D" or "R" over it and I can't receive messages from some of my contacts. They also can't see any updates I do like status update, display picture update, etc. My BIS is activate because I can go onto the internet and I can use Whatsapp, the problem is only with BBM. I have tried deleting and sending service books but it hasn't worked. I also deleting my contacts and re-invitign them again but that also doesn't work. My last resort was deleting BBM and downloading it again, it also didn't work.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!
    Be Afraid! Be Very Afraid!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
SMS is a purely voice-level service provided by the mobile service provider, and not technically a component of the BB-level services. Hence, you need to work with your formal support from your mobile service provider to resolve this. If you are paying them for SMS services and they are not delivering them, then they need to resolve that. If they need enhanced assistance, they can formally escalate to BlackBerry for that...but you cannot.
    Good luck!

  • Blackberry Tour 9630 freezes while starting up and won't turn on

A few hours ago I uninstalled an app on my Tour, and was asked whether to reboot now or later to complete the process. So I selected to reboot now.  The phone turned off and while the white loading symbol was feeling up it all the sudden stopped a little more than halfway loaded.  So I removed the battery to try and start the process over and it continues to stop at the same point in loading process and won't turn on.  I have never connected my Blackberry to computer before.  Not sure what to do.  Any help would be greatly appreciated,  I really can't go without a phone this week end.

Same thing is happening to mine. They said update the software but it wont do it while rebooting. Geez, what to do. Need my phone badly as well.

  • Blackberry won't turn on no matter what

ok so my blackberry 9630 tour wont turn on even with a full charge for 8 hours, battery pulls, and no matter how many times i press the power button, it would not turn on. all it does is about every 30 seconds, ONLY WHILE CHARGING, the red light blinks for about 15 seconds, then repeats. i connected to blackberry desktp manager, and the same thing happens. it detects the phone ONLY when the light is on, so when i try to reload the software, it always says my blackberry was disconnected when its still in my port. so after a while of searching, i found out where "loader" was in program files (x86) > common files > research in motion > Apploader > loader.exe and used it, and the same thing happened. i took out the battery and tried to complete the process so it can reset, and while resetting it says it can't connect to the phone every time in the "configuring device" or something close to that phrase, step. i tried inserting my battery and doing it, still no luck, and i tried downloading the software setup file from blackberry website AND official sprint website and it says disconnected from device in the setup. i do not have service in my phone from any carrier but i still want it to turn on because it was my first phone. please is there any way i could turn it on WITHOUT calling some repair dude from sprint? please help i don't want to pay for anything. i thank you if there is a way to revive this old phone but if there isn't, i guess im screwed
