Blackberry 9320 trackpad

I've the bb 9320 and the trackpad works... but depends on weather and the case of my hands... if its sunny... the trackpad will move slowly.. cold works better... also is it meant to be loose because it seems to make a noise of hitting the sidrs while scrolling and moves a lot... and sometimes the trackpad will freeze.. tried battery pulls, cleaning etc... but maybe its just me being paranoid ??

  • Blackberry 9320 cursor

I just bought my blackberry 9320 and the cursor is moving all over the screen without me moving it. It makes me unable to text because everytime I type a letter in the cursor scrolls all the way up the conversation. I can't click on any of the apps or icons as the cursor keeps moving! It is not due to track pad sensitivity or anything, so i don't know how to fix it!

    Hi eabrown,
As you told battery pull restart and adjusting Trackpad also did not solve your problem, and since your device is new as you told so it will be better if you get it checked by your service provider or service dealer to rule out any hardware issue.
    Good Luck

  • My story about the Blackberry 9320

My story about the  Blackberry 9320....
I have asked question's about buying a Blackberry for my Mom/Me for personal use from a few people and all very knowable in the IT world, and from one i know who uses a Blackberry as well manage there enterprise. All said it's too much phone to buy for you Mom.....
But as it would have it Mom really needed a new phone and when i saw the 9320 on sale i ask her to have a look at the phone and let me know what you think of it. She did... and just loved  phone...the feel..the size..key board..even the white colour.
So the following day i went and bought the white 9320 for her, and really thought i had a  challenge on my hands to teach a 76 year old to use the phone. Boy was i and every one i talked wrong about the 9320 being too much phone for her to use.
First off she was very happy to get this Blackberry, and secondly the setup was as easy as easy can get. We logged in to Virgin Account setting applied the new information and with in 5 minis it was updated and live.
Then came the part to show her how to text and use the phone, and in less then an 30 minutes she had the basics and was texting and calling with easy. I wanted to show her more about the use of what it can do and was told, no i want to figure it out myself so i can learn and remember. But Mom's it's a lot of phone and if you get frustrated you may not be too happy. And the answer i got was that's ok i can figure thing's out on my own, and that way i can learn.
With in a few days my 76 year old Mom figured out own her how to do just about anything wanted to do with the 9320, contact's, calendar, texting, bed side clock, tasks, making appointment's attaching photo's to texting, using the documents to go and more all on her.
I was so impressed by how easy and comfortable she felt with the phone i went and bought one for myself.
We both have had a phone before Christmas and tho it was a learning Curve (lol no pun in tended) in the being we both feel very comfortable use it.
This is a great little phone and thought i would sharing this story from these two very happy user's.

  • Can't open Hotmail anymore on my Blackberry 9320

My Hotmail won't work on my Blackberry 9320 anymore. These are the messages i get when i try to log on=
Refusing connection. This server has been previously noted as supporting HTTP strict transport security. Due to SSL certificate warnings/errors a connection will not be made.Server certificate error details untrusted certificate. Unable to determine the certificates origin. This has been disallowed by your administrator.Mail.live.com untrusted certificate chain. Stale chain status. Revocation status unknown. Trust status not trusted. Expiration date Sat 14th May 2016.Certificate type x509 Public key type RSA 2048.
I contacted T-mobile who says its nothing to do with them and i contacted Hotmail and they said there's a possibility that a problem in my mobile browser is causing this issue. In that case, it would be best to get in touch with the manufacturer of your device for faster resolution since they are experts in the field of inquiry and they have the appropriate resources to resolve this issue.I tried using another Blackberry with a different sim card and i still get the error messages when i try to use Hotmail, Hotmail does work on my computer though, which is what's confusing me.

I'm in the same situation as Holly3.
I've never had my a data plan or my email actively pushed through Blackberry mail, but have accessed my Live email account successfully through the browser for almost a year.
Then about three weeks ago this started failing with an "Untrusted Cert Chain" message, specifying mail.live.com.
The same message is displayed when I try to gain access to any HTTPS web site, so I don't think the issue is restricted to emails, but more to do with the way SSL certificates are being examined/processed now.

  • Blackberry 9320 won't dowload music. Help?!

My 3 week old blackberry 9320 curve won't dowload music! It downloads until quarter-way & then says "error". This is extremely frustrating as I had a previous 9320 that had exactly the same problem & was sent in for repairs but I was then given a brand new phone 3 weeks later? Could someone please assist??

I suggest you try downloading music via wifi and see if it completes. If you are in South Africa note that MTN had restricted their BIS to no downloading. This could be the reason why you are not able to get it working, what error mssage are you getting?

  • Blackberry 9320 was reformatted

My Blackberry 9320 was reformatted. Whenever I plug into the PC the software didn't appear and all my files and contacts were lost but all applications are still here in the application management. I can still use it now but I'm not sure if the OS is still working well. What should I do? Do I need to download a new software? The OS is v7.1.
Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hi there,
As I asked by reformatting do your mean you wipe your device or something else ?
If you performed a wipe then loosing your contacts etc is normal , those were stored on our device memory and if we perform a Security wipe then it will delete all user data from within that device .

  • Blackberry 9320 bad bad bad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am so disgusted in the blackberry 9320, if it's not the camera thats not working then it cuts off when i make a call or you can not hear when you receive a call. (and the phones was several times booked for repairs )
i wish somebody can tell me ho can i cancel my vodacom contracts (only those with Blacberry's) and get rid of Blackberry phones
I realy think i must publish my whole story in all the news papers
    Hennie

JHFC, IF you decide to stick it out, I'd suggest two things.
Upgrade to the latest OS on your 9320 if you are not already. What is your Operating System loaded to your device? Look at Options > Device > About, third line down beginning with a "v.6.0.x.xxx", What is yours?
Get a SIM card swap from Vodacom, that often is a good resolution to dropped calls.

  • Blackberry 9320 shuts off and needs to remove the battery to turni it on.

My BlackBerry 9320 keeps shutting off even if my battery is half full. Is this unit/device related, battery related, or OS related defect? Thanks.

    Hello jrcalara
Well.. No one can predict or guess that way unless you  try it yourself some workaround regarding your problem. It may be an hardware / Software / Battery issue but somtime a bad app can also create such issues . So can confirm if recently installed any application before this Problem started ? Think carefully !
If you have then try to boot your device on Safe Mode , On Safe Mode delete any application which you think might be responsible for this issue , from Options > Device > Application Manegement > locate and delete any newly installed 3rd party application , it might help in resolving your issue :
KB17877 : How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
If above fails then try a Good fully charged Batttery and test it on your device , it will reveal if the problem is within your device or the battery itself .
If it's a device issue then you can try an OS reload , which will fix any software glitch .For that you can refer to this Knowledge Base :
KB03621 : How to Reload BlackBerry Device Software and application using BlackBerry Desktop Software
If even after an OS reload problem continues then you can consider your device had a hardware issue , for that you have to visit your service provider to get it fixed.
So, try those thing it will let you know the exact cause.

  • Blackberry 9320 can't connect to the internet through WIFI

    Dear all
I have problem connecting my Blackberry 9320 to the internet via the wifi. I have tried all settings but still can't connect. I connect to the WIFI but when I try to connect to the net its says can't connect to the internet if the problems continues contact your internet service provider. I had the Blackberry 8520, I could connect to the net through the WIFI easily but with this I really don't know where the problem could be. I really need your help

If it says "Contact your service provider", then i don't think it's a problem with BB's end. You need to contact your carrier.

  • Blackberry 9320 broken,9360 on the same route due to "battery to low for radio use" etc

My previous blackberry 9320 ,which I can't use anymore, aswell as my 9360 that's on the same route as the previous one started out in the beginning with
-battery to low for radio use(which I would turn back on)
Later my memory card couldn't be recognized, after some attempts of "fixing the broken files" as the phone would say, and then "repairing failed"
Problems got worse ,as if I allready can't use a memory card because all 3 got broken somehow, but after that it started saying "battery to low for radio use" then my battery would in a matter of seconds drain and then a message I get atleast 30 times a day "battery drained, shuttingdown handheld". It gets worse, then it says the same message ,but only this time the battery is full, because the phone must be pluged in too a charger to be able to start, and as I call it, then has to be on "life-support"(charging like 24/7). These problems seem to be activated by high radio use or just plainly to irretate a person. I'm very dissatisfied with blackberry and I seek answers. now here comes the catch, I took my previouse blackberry, the 9320, in 2 times to get the software updated and the last time they couldn't say why this is happening , aswell as try putting another(new) blackberry 9320 battery in the phone. It worked for 3 days,no kidding, and the same problems in their stages began.I fear my blackberry 9360 is on the same route and I'm dissatisfied with these products for its expensive and causing trouble. Please help me resolve this problem ???p.s both phones were newly bought since they are contract phones.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Given that you've already begun formal service for this issue, I recommend you continue with that. After all, they said it was fixed, but it's not...don't you want to challenge them on that fact?

  • My Blackberry 9320 keeps on freezing

Hi Please can someone assist me. I purchased two blackberry 9320s within this month and the first week, all was good and the phone worked brilliantly. Now, this phone freezes at least 10 times a day, irrespective of whether I am just playing a game on the phone or accessing something. It is becoming a real pain...had it been just the one phone, I would have said that it was something on the phone but this is happening on both the phones at random times. Is there some software that could resolve this? Is it the phone itself that is the problem? I am not happy with this. The fact that it is less than a month old says something. I don't even download onto the phone and am having these issues. There is not much on the phone at the moment as well. PLEASE HELP

    Ok.
Since there is one common application on both and although they are running at the same time when can try a safe boot.
Try doing a safe boot on device first.
Remove the battery and replace now hold down back key , when loading bar is quarter way release the key. Once booted a message should appear saying your device is in safe mode, click ok. Use it for 4 hours and see if freezes, if it does then we can assume its a app causing problems.
Also have you replaced Sd cards on the devices? And did you format them on the device or on your pc?

  • My Blackberry 9320 always reset !

    Hello everybody !
I've bought my blackberry 9320 two weeks ago, but it always reset ! I've tried to do a hard reset, a soft reset and a logicial reset, but it doesn't work anyway !
Does someone have the same problem ?
    Can someone help me ?
    Thanks you !

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

  • My blackberry 9320 will not switch on

Hello I have a blackberry 9320 and i havent used it in about 4 months I tried to charge it earlier it wouldnt charge the red light would stay on for apporoximatley 40 seconds and then it would go off and the screen would stay blank
Can someone tell me a solution as sooon as poosible much apppriciated

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!
